I used to use a bike computer and pocket my phone. When I found this app the revelation of having your phone do everything a separate computer does (and more) was life changing. In addition all your phone functions right at your fingertips. This app is freaking amazing. Far more features than you could ever get on a bike computer and 10x the processing power. Next Step - Record rides on your phone with heads up display for playback later. That would be AWESOME.
Updated review: best cycling app. Period. I connected a Bluetooth cadence, speed/distance, and heart rate sensor (3 separate sensors) all at once, but you don't need any sensors to get speed and distance as you can rely on GPS if you get good GPS reception where you ride. Tons of features, basic features are intuitive but you can deep dive into more complicated stuff . . . Does more than you think at first glance. Tech support is top notch. Buy the license to support these folks!
Just installed and getting it set up. I live in the US so the first change was to update the units, as I read from other reviews it is set up on the metric system by default. As one reviewer mentioned, finding this setting takes a bit of hunting so let me help. The path to update this is Settings>Display>Units. Once there, you can toggle btw imperial/metric for all of the settings like distance, speed, weight, etc. Haven't used yet so I will update my review after several rides.
Really good app for what I want. I like that you don't have to have an account. So things I'd like more flexibility on, like darker markings of bike paths on map, and of course the choices on the meters aren't exactly what I want, but this is the first one I tried after researching them and have not wanted to switch
Easy to use and works well. Havnt used all the functions yet.
I've had the app installed across 3 different phones, it has mostly worked well. Until now. I find it's dropping the GPS signal a fair bit now and thus my route on the map is showing up as a straight line on most rides. I've tried adjusting several parameters, including battery usage permissions, but it's still messing up occasionally. I also encounter this issue when trying to resume a route after I've been stopped for a while. I've tried several bike computer apps over the years but kept coming back to this because it worked the best for me. A shame, really.
I was using the app for few years now, and I always had issue with the tracking stopping. On multiple devices. I wanted to give it a chance so I tried it again. Today I tracked 2 way ride of about 53km, ~26... one way. On the way back it started to disconnect multiple times and I had to restart it to conitue tracking. But somehow it messed up and I was left with 47km in the end. Missing around 6km :( Big issue in my opinion. The rest of the features are awesome.
Awesome app! A lot more customisable than Strava, the wattage figures seem more plausible and the ability to finish rides and resume them again if you want to is a winner. You can even upload a ride to Strava after the fact! My only gripe is that some functions and options seem buried in the interface and are not always intuitive (like bike and rider weights only found under a long tap on the power icon). Segments would be great, but then you don't get that for free anywhere anymore...
does everything you need and lots more. The free version is great and has practically no adverts. I bought it because I wanted to support the dev, I didn't need to buy it as it already did everything I wanted. Update: I've been using this app for around 3 years now and it's been getting updates all this time giving it more functions, better performance and nicer design. From time to time I try out other tracking apps for a little change, but in the end I always come back to this one.
I have been using this app for several years and it fits my needs perfectly. It is my bike computer both on the road and on MTB trails. Has all of the info I want including maps; and the ability to quickly change between full statistics and map+stats is brilliant. The developer keeps improving the software and just added strava upload. That was probably the last big feature it was missing. Sweet!
Haven't given a 5 star rating for a while but this one deserves it. Great tracking. Stats are easy to read without cluttering up the interface. Like being able to easily switch between the map and the dashboard. Runs efficiently on battery saver mode. Other apps I've tried fail to use the GPS with battery saver. Good communication from developer. Paid for the subscription, well worth the extra features (route planning, navigation, map downloads etc).
This for me as a biker is super useful, basically a satnav for my bike. The sounds are sometimes difficult to get your head round what's actually going on, why and turning them off. Maps I've found don't work for offline, I believe this is because you need to unzip them and therefore need a Windows pc. It would be really good if the screen would rotate with North so that when looking at where I'm going I'm not having to see myself going towards myself on the map, so I am always going forward.
I've had this app for a little over a week. I like it. Seems to be accurate. I'm really just interested in time and distance but it also shows top speed and elevation, as well as calories burned. That last one I don't buy at all. It tracks your route and shows you where you rode. As I said, useful basic information.
So far (1 week of use) I really like the app. It's easy to use, just need to take the time to see if it has a setting for pocket use. Rode a different bike one day and it shut off while in my pocket. That's probably operator error, so I think it's a good app and plan to continue using.
A little unintuitive to start but a rich featured and easy to use app once you figure it out. Use the help files to understand the operation. I was going to compare it to other apps but I don't need to. Does everything I need and more, and I will not be buying any sensors or expensive head units.
Lightweight app that doesn't require a monthly fee for social media connection that I don't want. Just a one time purchase to remove the ads. Excellent interface for use on the road. UPDATE, 2024. the app is still good but the one time payment option is gone.
The UI is cumbersome to put it lightly. I would like to be able to click any part of my recorded route on the map and see the instantaneous speed at the point. It would be great if the route was colored: say dark blue indicates the lowest speed and yellow indicates the highest. It's gonna be nice if map was divided and each interval showed the average speed for it. If the ride is not finished I can't find the way to see all the stats.
SENSATIONAL! Highly customizable, you can choose map only, data only, or data overlay on the map with multiple configurations. Works great with cadence and heart rate monitors. Has all the data options, slops, wattage, duration, etc. Great pro look! I compared this to Zeopoexa, and Bike Computer... This is hands down the best biking app for your phone IMHO :)
I really want to give it a five star rating, but the top speed bug is really... bugging me. Whenever i start a new ride, for some reason, the speed peaks (at even 60+ kmh) and messes up my stats. Otherwise, everything else is stellar! 2020 Edit: the ads are really too much! I can't even use the app offline anymore! I'm giving it much lower rating now, even though otherwise its still stellar.
Was good once, now annoying. I only use 10% of the features. Installed and bought (!) it years ago because I just wanted a simple but working bike app (especially with my heart rate sensor). Now, like nearly every other sports app, it became a super fancy "all in one I can everything" app, and wants to sell you a subscription. Every few app starts you have to watch a subscription ad for the ad. Annoying. I will look for another bike app..
