The app is constantly lagging and I have to go into settings; clear cache, force stop, toggle data permissions, and reopen. The system holds funds after an online deposit or credits, especially if it's the weekend, instead of the credit pending black its in the red plus holding an additional amount; Monday comes I look at my account and there's more money than I anticipated, very difficult to balance. I've done online banking with 2 other banks with zero issue. Maybe a Credit Union is the way.
Once again, nothing in the app works! Locked my card yesterday, transaction still went through today (and, yes, the transaction went through my CARD, not my bank account & routing numbers). Last week, I canceled an external funds transfer, and that also still went through 2 days later! And when I went to the bank closest to me, not only did they say there was nothing they could do, but they also said, "It takes a month to implement those types of changes." How? Why? Doesn't make sense!
Very convenient. When I have a problem I call their 1-800#. And everyone is always so pleasant. However that doesn't happen very often. Usually I can sign on my app to check balances, see if a payment went through or transfer funds. Whatever my needs are it's there. It's also very convenient to deposit a check, and not have to go to town to do it.
Update - The ads continue as of 2026...they even called me to see how they can help. LOL! I opened the app and tried to deposit a check. Instead, I was taken to someplace else because an ad popped up. INFURIATING! The app is ok except there was a big ad for zelle or some other garbage that goes up and down as you scroll and never goes away. It would be nice if they would make it easy to schedule payments between accounts...
very cool, I have never used mobile banking before and it's very helpful I just thought it would be hard but it's not. The app is very convenient, I am disabled and it's hard to get to the bank. Questions? No problems so I can either ask assistant or call (I'm not very tech savvy). The app is actually making my life easier. The only problem I had was finding my virtual card # number when I added it to my digital wallet, had to call & it was very easy. U S Bank should try to make that easier.
I've been using the mobile app and online banking for over a year now. I have never experienced a glitch, error, lock-out or log-in problem. I actually made an error entering the amount for a check to be deposited and it was caught immediately and corrected quickly. I really enjoy the convenience of depositing checks, transferring money, paying bills and managing my accounts on my schedule. The site is very straight forward and easy to understand and navigate.
The last couple of days at random times, I haven't been able to log in to the app or website. It's says that they are sorry and it's an error from their end. This has caused significant issues when looking to unlock my card and make payments. There should be some liability involved from not being able to access my own money and account from errors that were not due to me but the financial institution
A solid banking app. The only issue I have is logging in sometimes can be frustrating. Occasionally I will launch the app, try to login and I get a message saying it's been locked because I tried to login too many times but it's literally the first time I've tried that day. I am then forced to reset and create a new password which is a total pain. If that ever gets fixed I will rate the app higher.
This went from being one of the better banking apps I've used to being the absolute worst. The recent changes have made the app unusable for anything other than checking my balance and internal transfers, and the UI is now frustrating The app opens to a page full of offers and ads instead of the dashboard and I have to refresh the app to get to the dashboard with my accounts, but worse is that I cannot view my transactions at all, deposit checks, make Zelle payments. Terrible app! Edit: was
awful. way way way too difficult to deposit checks. either too bright, although us bank controls the cam, or needs a darker background, or too far, then too close. don't have this issue with Schwab, BofA, tmo bank. on top of it, in the middle, the app will kick you out and you have to log back in and start over. 1/28/2026 still bad. depositing checks a nightmare thatvi don't have with other bank's apps
Broadly speaking, I like being with US Bank. The app is functional for transfers, deposits and other such banking features, but there are a few drawbacks. Logging in via biometrics only works about 60% of the time, and the majority of the app is trying to push other banking products on you, rather than servicing the ones you have.
It takes so long (2-4 business days) for payments and purchases to post on the credit card account. The ExtendPay that used to be free now has a fee. I've never been late on a payment. Now, the earned points are worth less than they used to be if you're trying to use it as statement credit, and you can't transfer cashback to a non US Bank account. trash. gonna cancel my credit card soon
The search function only finds things 1 out of 10 times, even if you perfectly match what you see on the transactions page. The interface is cluttered and has pop-ups for "offers" of loans and other such things, they usually pop up a few seconds after the app has loaded, causing you to mis-click on them when trying to click on other things. The balance updates a few days late sometimes, or is entirely incorrect until you call them. Also can't screenshot or copy/paste my own bank account info.
I really love USBank and have been there for many years. The bankers, the service is exceptional. However, this new Beta rendition of the app is unwieldy and, honestly, very irritating. When I get on the mobile app, there are so many USBank popups that go right over my accounts. I also don't like the new way of showing purchases. I have to click on each one to find out what the purchase was. It is very cumbersome. I love banking on my phone, so please look closely at the Beta. Thank you
Easy to use & I'm able to see all my accounts at a quick glance. I really like the tracking/manage features to see where my money is going each month & if there's been a significant change. It does help me to be more cautious with impulse purchases. I'm also setting up transfers to help save for trips the following year & get the additional interest as well!
Camera software for mobile deposits is terrible. It has so much trouble getting a viable picture. Complains about "too bright" even when the flash is off. It takes me multiple tries on the check back to get one that is accepted, and they all look the same to me. edit: it got worse. the check outlines are being recognized faster and with less tries, but now my signatures on the back of the checks are "not found" making the app useless for depositing mobile checks.
Easy to use, and very convenient way to keep track of my accounts...however, the check deposit feature is terrible, and needs to be upgraded or fixed. It worked for me once, and that's it.... 11/28/25 I have had to uninstall and re-install this app twice this week to get into it. It wouldn't take my fingerprint or password. I hope this gets fixed ASAP, as it is very frustrating when needing to access my account info.
I have been banking with US Bank for nearly 8 years, and using the app for maybe 4 years... The people I have met have all been professionals in every context and have always managed to help resolve issues fast. I do like the fact that the app allows reliable transfers and most issues can be resolved in the app itself. I would also highly recommend the app, if, like me, you are not close by to a US Bank location. This way you are able to access most of your banking info on hand.
As usual they can't leave well enough alone. The new version locks up when trying to switch to bill pay. Just freezes and won't load. Its 2025 and we're having mobile functionality issues? It's a banking app. It doesn't need to be some bloated boomer software with ads. 99% of people are doing three things: Bill Pay, Deposits, Transfers, Checking Balances... no one cares about your 25% APR credit cards. Do better.
Most recent update or back end makes it useless. You can click "get number" 100 times, and it won't give you your account number. And no, I don't want to reach out to customer support on Thanksgiving. If I need to use a browser log in or call customer support every time I want to use a feature of my banking app, what use is an app on my phone? Customer for almost a decade, seriously negative experience.
