Ventusky: Weather Maps & Radar

This was advertised as a one-week free trial, but I was billed immediately for the full price and the only cancellation option is after the full year subscription. Edit: I did apply to the Android store for a refund. I was told no, so now I'm stuck with it. As for having activated it at some time in the past, not that I can recall. I'm leaving this review at two stars because there are many useful additions in the premium app. But not enough that I want to pay annually for it.

This has the potential to be a great weather app. I have the premium version, but unfortunately there are still bugs that need to be worked out (e.g. the "Meteogram" goes blank when switching between temperature, precipitation, etc.) Also, I would like if the User Interface were just a little bit cleaner when it comes to displaying the data and moving between different charts. The current display feels slightly dated, but that's just me.

Love it, love it, love it!! Particularly useful when in destinations where the weather can vary a lot through the course of a day. I've used for about 2 months now, including traveling to Alaska and Orlando during Hurricane Ian. This app was SO spot on in both situations. Don't even think about it, just reward the developers immediately with a (VERY inexpensive) yearly subscription right out of the box!!! Very well done!!!!

It's definitely an app for the meteorology hobbyist. I've spent some time w it and it grows in value and interest. It's tough, though, to have all this dehomogenized data points but can't get a simple rain forecast. As much as I enjoy the bells & whistles, I make decisions based on the pros and their "guesswork". And appreciate them for it. I hope you can figure it in soon 'cause I don't wanna lose this.

Great app. I used Windy for a while as well as WU but this has so much more information than those in current form. I upgraded to the premium layers almost immediately. If I had to have 1 beef, it's that the app seems to crash on my S-10+ when I zoom in too far (about 5 mile radius maybe?). Otherwise, it's worked flawlessly. Not sure if it uses personal weather station data or not (even better if so) but it seems to accurately predict the arrival & length or rain showers.

Great app with many special little features but… I'm a subscriber and I have to constantly reinstall the app because I keep losing my subscriber options. Also, the first time everyday when I open the app, it won't show me the wind and precipitation. I hv to close it and open it again. Every single day! That's not that big of a deal, But having to reinstall the app, at least once a week get very tedious. Losing your saved locations every time I have to reinstall Is annoying.

I have been looking for a weather app that makes it easy to plan out a travel route based on weather, and this seems to be perfect. Most other weather apps focus on your current location, but you can easily see weather forecast for anywhere with this app, not to mention it's so beautiful to look at. Premium is so cheap, I'll probably be upgrading soon if app works well.

I love everything about the app, except instead of paying a one time fee of say, $5 or $10 USD, I have to enroll in a subscription. EDIT: after buying the subscription, the UI has drastically changed and I can no longer access the forecast how I should be able to. Edit 2: after a reinstall it now works.

This app has it all! Multiple inputs, clear graphics, all sorts of data. Get the upgrade for best results. It's great when traveling. Just finished an ocean cruise in the Mediterranean. Tracked temp, radar, wave heights and extent.

Great experience - truck driver. I recommend it to all new drivers. My only wish wish is that in the US it would show more detailed names of major highway and interstates, it would make it much easier to trip plan. I use it all the time to check wind gust speeds OTR. Thank you for giving us a great tool to help keep us safe!

I'm not paying the increased price. Why pay more for a broken app they refuse to fix! Not only is it broken but this latest update sucks. It’s not worth paying for when they can't even prioritize 1 hour weather increments or at the very least let me choose it as an option. I hate checking the weather and have to switch it off from 3 hour increments just to check what the 1 hour looks like 🤬 I'm done paying for this broken app they refuse to fix.

very good app for weather. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now, its very accurate. There are a bunch of free tools available. Still others unlock with a subscription. I find the free tools enough for what I needed.

Ive been using this app since Hurricane Irma rolled into Florida in 2017. Its a must have to keep informed of weather changes and events from temperature, to wind speeds, to tropical depressions and hurricanes to severe snow and thunderstorms, I know of some local meteorologist and storm chasers that use Ventusky to track weather events. It also gives alerts and warning so you'll never be left unaware if using this app. I love it, and use it all the time, not just for local weather but global.

Have been using it for several years and had been premium user for a three years, but it would get pricier, so I decided to keep to free version. Anyway it's a good app, and I'm happy with the basic functionality.

One of the best apps. I always check the weather conditions and it is very accurate. It helps a lot by predicting when it's going to rain on the map and what the temperature is. The UI is very clean, and not having disturbing ads makes it a great app👌🏽

Love this app, but lately it can't handle android updates, which often disable the widgets. It's a pain having to use alternatives for a few weeks while its being fixed.

App opens and responds quickly. So much information to choose from. Absolutely the best weather app I've ever used. Already deleted my other weather app. Never going back.

Excellent app to check weather and other usefull info like precitipation and air quality in any part of the world. I love the feature that I can zoom out and see the world as a 3D sphere and see the global weather there.

It’s a fantastic app. I use it daily to stay informed about the weather and to watch how winds, storms, and other weather systems move and develop.

Comprehensive and, in my experience, accurate weather forecasts plus details of current and recent conditions - a really useful tool. Recommended.
