UPDATE: The issue is resolved! My account works normally - upgraded my review from 2 to 4 star It could be good, but it has so many small bugs. It looks VERY aesthetically pleasing, one of the best looking social medias I've ever used. However, it's bug ridden. I can make posts, my profile picture doesn't always show up, when I first signed up it wouldn't accept the code that I got in the text message, etc. I really want it to work because it looks super cool, but it's just not quite there yet.

Doesn't work at all anymore. There's been a "reconnecting" message at the top of the app for a while now. I uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would somehow fix the problem, but now it says "reconnecting" and won't let me sign in to the app at all. -to the Vero Labs reply, I can't report the bug, can't even log in to the app-

For anyone who would like to create an online scrapbook or life journal of some sort, this is way better than FB to record your life IMO. It's solidly made, beautiful interface, and peaceful. The developers don't believe in ads. The setup is a little different than Mastodon (or FB), so I feel that it suits life memorializing better. It's best if you just check it out for yourself. I think you'll love it!

As someone tired of of social media as a whole, I really wanted this app to work. It had so much potential but after almost 2 yrs, I've pretty much all but forgotten about it. No one I know uses it, I can't find new people since you can't easily browse anyone else. What's the point? Also hate how extremely limited posting any entertainment interests is...we should be able to type in whatever band/movie/book & not choose through the extreme limitations in the database that never has anything.

A lot of potential but it seems a bit tailored to photographers & photobloggers. It's not very easy to use for casual social media sharing with friends.. There is no memes or groups & overall it has a serious vibe. Which isn't bad but it's not what I'd call 'social'. There is no sharing 'reblog' feature that I can tell. I just follow artists mostly & like the photos, maybe comment but that's it. I don't really get comments back or any kind of interaction in that way. Again not bad just limited.

Some aspects aren't thought out well for users. For example, a contact request came in and it gave me two options, to accept the request or follow. This became quickly confusing because I accepted the request and then the following option disappeared, leaving the person who made the contact with me (their first contact) as having no followers. Changing your photo should be as easy as clicking on your "avatar." My biggest complaint, no app for my tablet and my tablet is my go to device.

I have to say so far I'm really enjoying the app. It reminds me almost of MySpace or Tumblr in that you can share various types of content to tailor make your social page. I would have given the app 5 stars but I feel it still has room to grow in some areas. Sharing your location is limited to the pre listed options with no ability to add a new location. I find it difficult at times to add content, find others and connect. At times it feels more like a private portfolio, but still acclimating.

I am loving vero so far. Its got the photo based social aspect that completely deteriorated from instagram. Yes the app has some bugs, but no do or die algorithm, no bots, and a great community. I love the look of the app too. Hopefully they can make some improvements, so much potential! I do enjoy the "story" aspect and maybe being able to add some audio to a video but other than that, instagram can keep the rest of its trash nowadays

The app is 5 stars. Vero is not. I could have gotten past the fact that Vero eventually will move to a subscription model. I could have gotten past the inability to edit post privacy. I could have even forgiven a social media app that doesn't provide a way to create a text only post. But when it occurred to me that Vero is only a mobile app, with no desktop or web based counterpart, that was a deal breaker. The majority of my content is created on and shared from a PC. Hard pass.

I like Vero's interface but it has so many bugs. It is always slow, sometimes I can't see the pictures I upload and it takes long to load my pictures. I also can't see requests from other people I can only see the notification that I have a request but then when I try to click on it nothing comes up. I really wish these things would get fixed.

Very beta, failed in very way to post a photo. Click the plus in the app, can't see cloud storage, or another thing other than the random folder it picks. Android share button. Fails hard. Photo does not even come in and the post button does work never gets pressed. Just keep clicking the screen. Pretty interface but it's got a long way to go.

I love what this app stands for; algorithm free, ad free, everything the other social media platforms are not. HOWEVER, I would like to see it improve in the area of speed. It is slow to the point of being maddening. I make a post and can't even see it for twenty minutes. Other than that this whole app is AMAZING and so helpful to artists as well. You can even see movies on here

I am really enjoying Vero so far. I really like that you can share different types of content, as well as share links in the captions. I would really like it if there was a way edit your post to change who can view your content after you post, instead of only when you post your content. But other than that, I like that it's far less stimulating and overwhelming than Instagram. I feel more safe and secure and more inspired by the community here.

So far my experience is a zero even though I gave 2 stars. 2 stars for beautiful looking layout & the no ads, no algorithm premise. However after my initial enrolling I was not able to download a profile pic, add a profile description, or post a pic. Support was very quick to respond so that's a big plus. On the downside, they gave me a big list of things to check on my end that I'm still deciding if I'll take the time or not. Also it's very hard to navigate the app & figure out how it works.

I think the app is really good, even though the platform could have more people the way posts are made and viewed is much better than other social media like instagram or Facebook. My only complain would be the lack of a custom feed / separate feed where we can see posts of hashtags we decide to follow, so we could keep up with what we like to see and that the community uploads, so we don't miss it. Good work, it only needs a few missing features but overall very aesthetic, very nice! Thx.

Many tech issues. One basic problem (of many): It won't let me set my username. Every time I type one out, it says that the username is available until I try to save it. Then it says "Opps, this username is unavailable" and locks me on that screen. I have to close it and reopen it to get off that screen. I thought the concept was cool but the app isn't ready yet 🤷🏾‍♀️

Overall (and i am a real user not a plant asked to write this). If you want twitter, stay there. People want to claim to "leave" other social media but want to change vero. I like it how it is and the color scheme is so easy on the eyes. I dont want a news feed, i like the minamalist view. I want to see vero allow me to share my posts all at once though. That way i make one post that goes to all platforms. Other than the terms concerning use of pics i am ok.

I hardly ever use the app anymore. I'd love to be able to filter my feed based on friend type, so that I could just see posts from close friends for example. I requested this years ago but instead they chose to spend the effort implementing useless unrelated features such as phone calls. Like come on, I already have at least ten apps on my phone that can do that. I don't need another one.

Uploads started failing last night and the "upload to fail" error won't disappear. Needs a new and better update! Bringing it down to 1 star now because after reinstalling the app isn't letting me log in due to no server? This app has become so buggy/unusable.
