Video Speed Changer: SlowMo

Great little app for speeding up videos or sections of videos. No bloat and works fairly well. The UI is simple but effective. The limit of only going up to 8 times speed is a vexation. Also there needs to be an option to select the entire video to speed up. It gets tedious manually selecting footage especially if you have a lot to go through. Those issues are the only thing holding it back from 5 stars for me.

I took my time and tried this 3 times thinking I must've done something wrong.. Even though it couldn't seem easier. I simply was trying to edit a 7 minute long video to play 8x faster. When I was notified that it was all done I went in and played the video.. And it was still 7 minutes long and no change at all.. So.. What did it speed up? Besides me looking for yet another app!

Good app, for sure. Easy to use, quick tutorial to get you to know how to use, only reason not 5 stars, is because I originally downloaded and deleted because I couldn't find or even figure out how to save my videos. But, reading a different review said that your videos will show up in your gallery about 24 hours later, and they were right. Just wierd it doesn't let you know it saved your video, nor does it pop up till next day in gallery. Other than that, it's coo.

I was really happy with this editor for a long time. Not overloaded and doing its job perfectly. But since recently, loading videos for editing takes like forever, and when the video is finally loaded, the app freeze while editing and stops working :( currently unusable....

This is a true re-encoder, not just a variable speed player, that allows you to change the speed of a section of a video file then save the whole thing as a new video. The result is excellent. Not only is the modified section as sharp as the original, but the transition of speed seamless. I'd seriously consider paying for an ads-free version but only for a one-time fee, not a subscription; after all, it's not something I need to do regularly. Hope the developer would consider that.

Super confusing app, opening the tutorial doesn't show me what I'm trying to figure out, and the app has no help or support section, only an option to pay for something I can't even figure out. It won't let me select the entire video to slow down, only a second or two of it at once. It would take days to slow down a 90 second video at this rate. Add a support section and maybe I'll reinstall, but without one this confusing app is useless.👎 Also just froze up entirely while trying the tutorial

Please listen to the tutorial at the beginning. I found it essential to being able to use this app well! No watermarks and you can choose up to 8 x times speed! Quality of the video maintained and no watermarks a present :) perfect app, just what I was looking for (filming myself study for hours to send to my family who live elsewhere so they know I'm studying hard and their efforts in raising me where not wasted).

This app works perfectly! It can take a whole to process a video (it took 10 minutes for a 50 minute video) but compared to the time it took for other apps and websites, that's fast. It has up to 8x speed which is awesome and is very user friendly, as it pops up with a tutorial from the start. Plus, no watermark! Would recommend.

Always and I repeat, always works super well, easy to edit and slow motion is seamless, therefore five stars all the way. Yes, there are ad shows up after the edit but not annoying, especially at the beginning the Ad never shows up, only in the end which is fine, I'm using it for free right so it's all good.

The app is good and it works perfectly. But whenever I import any video to increase or decrease the speed and then when my work is completed then it saves the video which takes a bit time, I'm not issued with that but when the estimated time is completed the video doesn't appear in gallery neither in the app in the saved videos section. But it appears after a day or two days.

Exactly what I needed for my art videos, easy to use, and fairly good save times without compromising quality (saves in about a quarter to a half of the time of your video's actual time, which is comparable to some computer programs already out there). I'll be using this app for quite some time.

Great app to adjusting the rate of speed of your videos.No bells, no whistles, just a straightforward, easy to use app. My only disappointment is that it doesn't connect to any of my other apps to easily share videos with. I would definitely be rating it 5 stars if it did.

Have just redownloaded this app to try it again, as in the previous version there was very little choice. This time it's even worse: I followed the tutorial EXACTLY, but after 6 attempts, it refuses to add any speed effects when I "Long Press" on the timeline, it doesn't display any options, and if I click on "Next", all it does is saves the unchanged video exactly as it is. NOT impressed, and uninstalled.

It allows you to entirely edit the speed of your videos - you can speed up or slow down the whole thing, but you can also edit some bits of the video and leave others as they are. But as you would expect: the quality of your videos are poor, and it takes a lot of storage. If you speed up / slow down your video a lot, then it's blurry and rubbish.

It's an amazing app...I was searching from so long an app like this...and this is....I have no words...its just fantastic fabulous... And I have seen many people who want their video to be slower than the minimum speed available in the app- so for them, just download in the least speed and again change the speed...♡ But again...this app...you must try it and you'll love it!

It worked for the first video I did and the app worked good. Then later I tried to do a longer video. It kept freezing and not working. I made sure the video was fully uploaded on my Android and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3x. Still won't work past a 5+ minute mark. I tried again on a 1 minute video and it still shut the app down and froze. Two Stars for it working the first time.

Can make section of different speeds in a single clip. But they don't snap together.. so quickly gets gaps of standard speed in between. Also... The video doesn't speed up or slow down where I've selected them to do so... Slows down usually few seconds later then where it should. This makes the app, until this is fixed, useless.

Dont get me wrong this app is AMAZING. Its not complicated at all! with a hold you can do whatever you want! However, something does bother me. The app is good but this just personaly bothers me. When im done slowing down my video, The part thats slowed down has a massive frame drop. It went from 75 frames to sround 45 frames and doesn't make it look smooth... Thats all!

Edit: Thank you to the developers for the tip. Still hope to see higher speeds! "Unusable. I shoot 10min+ videos. I can't spend 5min dragging the selector across all of the footage everytime I edit a long video.... Also, why can't I find an app with faster than 8x speed???"

Pretty easy to use, but the speed and utility is outstanding and very useful. Just need to hold-press on the clip you want to change speed, then click the dot that shows up below the highlighted clip, which isn't obvious after using it a couple times but I got used to. Great though, thanks!
