[Update- AUG 2025] I am still receiving ads from the APP with no way to cancel [June 2025] I pay for this app and it was working flawlessly un until last week. I'm am now being served adds that I cannot skip to download something called kingshot. Other than that, the APh has works flawlessly. But having to look at ad that goes on for two minutes makes me quick the app. [Edit: 30NOV2033] Recently the ads There are ads, but they aren't what I would consider excessive. Totally worth it
I've always loved this app. Nothing else I've ever used is even close. UPDATE: not sure what's going on with the app now but lately trying to play pornhub videos I'm getting an error about "format not supported or video no longer available". But if I download it the video plays fine. However, I don't want to have to download every video just to see it.
More and more the ads on this program will not let you shut them down even after you watch them for their duration it just stalls and forces you to try and go to their website. total garbage. (Follow up) Well your ad strategy sucks. I came back few months later to see if I got any better.. but of course it got worse. it seems clear at this point that they're trying to get you to watch 15 ads in a row before you can use their software for additional ad revenue.
Common sense is not common anymore I guess! The ads are television commercials meant for television! Nobody should be interrupted by this! I complained, they told me the problem would be fixed, that was a lie! Common sense would be to take a small area at the top or bottom of the screen and put ads there with no video or sound, not ignorant loud tv commercials that take too much time to end! You can have a lot more ads that way, more ads is more money. Making it frustrating ruins the experience.
I've decided to uninstall the app. At this point it only functions half the time correctly, and the ads are too terrible. It doesn't show thumbnails to the download options, so you mostly have to guess which file you want to download or download all files and delete the ones you didn't want. Only about half the time will it find all media on a webpage. It's really good at finding the ads. The ads are also super prevalent and usually have three different screens you have to wait and click out of.

Lowering to 2 stars because the ads are still ridiculous and now the app sometimes takes forever to load on top of a sometimes 2 minute long add. I can hear a TV dinner and eat it in the time it takes. I'd almost rather just pay for this app just to get rid of it. It works after the ad fest is over but looking for other alternatives at this point. It was never this bad when I started using it.
Works as described. I'm not even gonna complain about excessive ads. However, it will often freeze up when an ad appears, forcing you to close and restart app. Then pray the restart doesn't open with an ad or you are forced to close and restart again. I have had to stop and restart as many as 25-30 times. Fix this issue and I'll change my rating.
Some of the ads are kind of long. If the data security ad comes up, you just have to shut the browser down and come back later (not a good look for the advertiser). No YouTube or Twitter videos but who needs YouTube anyway? I wish we could pick to download target directory but it's still a pretty good ap. Update: You can download Rumble movies. Some ads trap you and you have to reload the app. However, if you want the movie bad enough, you'll do it. These movies are usually documentaries.
I use it to get memes from certain platforms that don't have an option to do so natively. And for that purpose? Phenomenal. It's even fast enough to where I can get it to download a video before the link forcefully redirects me somewhere else, which is fun. Makes me feel like I'm outsmarting a dev somehow. Oh and there are adds very occasionally, but you can instantly close them out, and they're scarce enough that it doesn't hinder my experience at all. Anyways, good app in my experience. 5/5.
Awesome! Works very well. Until recently, all videos were able to be downloaded, with a simple long-press and selecting save. NOW! No longer the case. It'd be nice if it were a chrome extension on my phone, like with the PC version. May work by clicking share and selecting the app, when this option is available, however, when it isn't, but has a share link or the page itself, it's still easy to paste it into this app, a chrome like browser and click the download button. Ranted, my bad, thanks!
It's the best video downloader I've used. It works for virtually every site. I only wish it had a pro version and dark theme. This with 2 more things would = 5*. I really need an option to set a max number of simultaneous downloads. I have to have many tabs open and download every video manually one at a time. Lastly, downloads lose connection if I switched to another app or did anything outside the app. I had to give it unrestricted background usage. I look forward to more features later.
AMAZING. By far the most simple, straight to the point, no "oh click on these ten ads to download one file then u gotta wait 6 hours to do another unless you sign up" bullcrap! Simply open the app, go to the url hosting the video OR audio, click play on all the ones you'd like to download, and then just press the download button. There you can select whichever one you want to keep, and there you go. Most hassle-free awesomeness I've come across in a while!
One of the best video downloaders. So many of the video downloaders on the app store are finicky. Inshot has one that actually works with a good simple user interface. My only complaint is that downloaded videos are not always playable outside of this app. Sometimes it's just an error in the beginning, others it's the whole video. I have never had an issue playing a downloaded video from this app. I believe it may be due to how the file is downloaded in 4 segments and patched together.
Pretty disappointed. At first, I thought I'd found a great downloader to compensate for the fact that a website I use had just suddenly and without announcement nor explanation removed the download button for its user-made videos. Well.. After accruing 52 videos over a month or so, it dawned on me that I couldn't access the saved videos from anywhere besides the app. It keeps the vids protected, whether you save on phone or card, and all is erased upon uninstall. No good. Starting over.
I download a lot of stuff and I have tried numerous downloader apps and I find this app. very capable. It's fast, easy to use and doesn't bombard you with ads. It is worth the ad free upgrade but if you can't do that it is still better than 95% of other downloader apps.. It won't let you download direct to SD but it is easy enough to transfer MP4 and PNG files. No troublesome file types to deal with. It works well with all your favorite streaming sites.
I don't mind ads, everyone has to make a living... But the ads on this thing are egregious. Most of them force you to watch some 2-3 minute long video about some trash mobile game, others just make you stare at a picture while some recording plays for several minutes. Sucks, because as a tool it seems the downloader segment works very well. I'd pay you a flat fee for the tool, maybe once in a while for updates. I'm not paying a subscription for something I can do absolutely free on PC.
I tried a few apps to extract audio from an internet video--'How Tos' and lectures. It seems I am stuck with first having to save the video and record the audio from it. For the first step, this app is by far THE easiest. You paste in the URL of the video and start to play the video. Then you click on a little arrow and boom, it downloads the WHOLE thing, start to finish, from beginning to end, even the part that had already played. This is an ultra easy app to capture/download videos from web.
Lots of ads but it works fast n it works well. You pretty much just open a webbrowser in the app and it'll have download buttons next to the videos which is pretty cool. I've only tried it on Twitter so far but I haven't run into any issues, one thing I do want though are download buttons on the media tab as well as when you click on the video itself. I noticed there is no download button unless you go to the post itself, if this was a faster process I'd be a lot happier but it's not that bad.
The very first time I opened this app, I got a 30 second unskipable ad. And then proceeded to get three more before being able to download my first video. I am perfectly alright with watching an ad every once in a while for a free, high quality application. But 4 ads in about two minutes for an app that would otherwise be a 3 star at best is just infuriating.
This is a really good app and very useful! I have used it to download several videos and it's extremely easy to use. So far, I've been able to download from every website I've tried it on (except YouTube for legal reasons), and there have been no bugs. Download times are really quick and the longest I've ever had to wait was about 3 minutes. I recommend this to anyone looking for an easy and fast video downloader. No complaints from me, and that's rare, lol. 😄👍🏼
