If all goes exactly according to plan, it's fine. I ran into problems when I messed up and made a couple of bookings for the wrong session. Errors like this can't be fixed in the app, and integration with the website is poor, making corrections problematic. The app is not integrated with Google Wallet, while the website is. Overall, I'd suggest sticking to the website.

There's more to be desired for this app. First, when I tried to book a ticket, it showed me that there was a payment error. When I tried to book again, it went through but I was surprised to see that now, I have two tickets! I was charged twice and there is no way to refund it. I've used Hoyts app and there is a world of difference between the two. You can do so much with Hoyts that Village Cinema is outdated by comparison.

It's not a very good app. It's pretty clunky and hard to navigate through. It keeps on logging you out, and the app doesn't recall the ticket you purchased with the village for scanning. You're better off using the website as everything is the same, except you can also preorder food and drinks upon ticket purchase. It probably needs an update with the same purchase features as the website. Very bad user experience.

Good, smooth... But. Clean interface. Fast. Responsive. Always able to book the movie and choose the seats i want, times and all that displays well. But, after booking, the date on the digital ticket shows the date of purchase, not the date of the movie. So i always think i bought the wrong date! Would be great to have an option to add on popcorn later. But i like the points system and the theatre, staff and overall experience has been really good. Have moved over from Hoyts to Village now. :)

I find it always works incredibly smoothly and perfectly right up until I try to log into my vrewards account to get the cheaper tickets and then everything decides to throw a fit and no amount of refreshing will get the app to work again. Every time.

would be more then 3 stars if you could purchase food through this app. learnt this the hard way when I went to get a paper ticket through the lane only to be told I had to go wait in the other line to purchase food, and that I could only get the food if u had pre purchased it... I said I purchased the tickets through the app not the website. was told" oh well there isn't much I can do about that is there" and shrugged her shoulders.

I liked it when it showed what was screening without having to log on. I don't like having to give all my personalised data as to what I'm interested in and what cinemas I might go to. I don't see the need they have to collect this information. App worked well but I uninstalled when they required that I log in just to see what's screening.

Find that the food and drink option isn't working at all which is frustrating because you can't do a click and collect which means you have to succumb to lining up to order food which goes against the whole purpose of downloading this app. Also asks me to choose a cinema which I've already ticked as one of my preferences everytime. Just stupid little nuisances. Better off to order of the website.

The app was working well.for me for a long time until recently it just won't open. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling multiple times but it still won't work on my Samsung. Please fix this please as it was really good and useful before the problem started a few months ago. I can see from a few reviews here that they're experiencing similar issues. Thanks!

Tried to sign in multiple times only for it to abruptly tell me I'm not signed in when I had just signed in, and check the internet (the internet is perfectly fine). Previously app worked fine, customer service nonexistent. Not bothering with the app anymore it's useless.

It works, but using the website works better. I find it frustrating that tickets booked through the app don't get sent by email, and instead I have to find the barcode in the past purchases section of the app. It also seems like the app signs me out far too frequently.

App has filters so you can remove certain foreign language films from your list. For some reason, it doesn't work. It's not that difficult to get right is it? Also, you can purchase your popcorn/snacks with your tickets...unlike the website. Other than that, app works well.

Three years later. And still 1 star. App is very average. Esp when compared to the functionality of the Hoyts app. Can't move seats. Request refunds if you need to cancel the seats with plenty of notice. Picking your seats is difficult as floor plan is not accurate. No ability to oay via waller. Not a great app. If you try to change a session or anything like that you go all the way back to the start. Bad user experience. App also keeps crashing.

It's not bad. I had to cancel last minute and could find no number to press to speak to anyone so I messaged through the App was happily surprised to see a response straight away. Refunded my money for a session I could not go to. Thanks. Even got my points back. . 5 stars

Overall good functionality for booking tickets but the food and drink clink and collect function is NEVER working and so frustrating when asked in store if I've tried ordering online. Would love for this to be fixed so we can skip the cues a bit!

The App itself is quite excellent. However, *please* fix the GPay option. In my case it defaults to a card I do NOT want to use and there is no way of changing it.

After problems with this app it started working after I got a new phone but a few months later it's no longer working again. crashes and logs me out when I'm looking up screening times. what a mess.

Horrible waited 20 minutes to load into the login page, and I'm still waiting. Had to close the app and jump onto an internet browser app, which was faster to look at booking sessions.

Vrewards account requires a special character in the password, but the app won't log in if you happen to use the @ symbol in your password. There's probably other special characters not being handled properly in the app either.

App does not open on Motorola Edge 50 Pro! Please help! Update: Opened the app "info" on my phone and cleared the "storage & cache" as well as doing "force stop" and now the app is working again. Recommend doing this if your app isn't loading.
