Used to be a great service but too many issues now. The car wasn't well kept, no windshield wiper fluid. Many bugs in the app. Get server errors when trying to access to chat. Not great when there are issues like a predetermined location change for my rental that apparently never went through and ended up costing me more than 40 euros for a lesser car. Spent more than an hour dealing with this making me late for my appointment. Love the concept. Used to be great. Can't recommend anymore.

Booked 3 weeks in advance and provided all documentation. They charged my card over 300€. Then, 2 hrs before the reservation, they said they had a problem with my card they already charged and wanted it to be under the same name. We changed the charging card to be under the same name, but even then they cancelled the reservation less than an hr before (while we were on chat with them!) After they cancelled, no further response via chat. Don't depend on this service!

After 10: Good. Still issues w/ virtual key. After 2 rentals: Good cars. Booking is easy. Prices are premium but ok. 2 big letdowns in both cases: 1/ The key can't start the car. It is infuriating. The car says that the key is missing when it's not. You need to start the car right when it opens, if you're lucky, it works. I wish we just had a normal key. 2/ impossible to get your car unless you get in with a resident for Gare du Nord. Interphone doesn't work! Also hard to get in/out

Really avoid! 😤 The car was booked for 2-3 months and only 3 hours before arriving to destination (there were 2 hours of flight in the middle), they decided to "review" the account and concluded there were some security issues with it. So they closed my account and I found myself having to book a car last minute... I contacted the support but they're all bots, impossible to speak with someone! After some days, they refunded everything minus 50 euros... Nice thieves! 💸

It is alright. I had an issue: the door didnt lock after I delivered the car (I tried several times, uninstalled and installed the app again). Lucky that one Virtuo's contractor was working on the car beside mine, and he called Virtuo and they fixed it. Can't imagine what would happen if instead of 7pm it was 2 am. Also, I got charged £27 for extra mileage (over 150 miles). I would not recommend it for long trips. Nothing serious to complain, but not over the moon with it

Once things got moving, the experience was good. But I had so many issues initially. Booking was cancelled 2 hours prior, reason given: I hadn't had my licence long enough. I've been driving for 22 years. This got resolved. I couldn't start the car with my downloaded key 3 times on the first day. Support was attentive. They would resend the key. I then couldn't download it over 4G, which meant I needed to use wifi. I resolved this, they did not suggest using wifi. Imagine if no wifi available

Great idea and really nice cars... BUT... The app is really poor and not intuitive at all. ALSO... there's some very odd thing going on with having to estimate and pre-pay for mileage over the rental allowance which means having to plot your route on Google maps and then try and predict where exactly you are going to drive while you have the car and stick to it. Doesn't appear to be any suggestion of a refund if you pre-pay for more miles than you actually use either but there is a penalty if you use more of course. It's the only thing that spoils the otherwise great simplicity of the idea... Well, that and the poor App

4 stars because the app is buggy; e.g. had issues with the registration, also, the written directions to find the car were wrong, but the GPS location was ok, so I've found it easily; I also had to close the driver door twice, in order to lock the car from the app. The car was brand new, very clean, no issues with it. Will use it again.

Willing to bet this is the future of car renting. Excellent service, I had a flat tire and they did everything to help me fix it. Simple to use, all automated. Cheaper than the usual companies. The car was better than I expected, full option. Extremely impressed, already recommended to several friends.

Virtuo cancelled my booking 3 days before we were due to depart, blaming a "global shortage in raw materials that blocks the production supply chain". This was stressful to say the least, they really shouldnt have taken the booking in the first place. Their discount on a future booking as recompense didnt help at all. I would not use them again.

Abysmal support. An app bug prevented me from canceling a Tesla booking (wanted to swap for a non-electric car due to obscure additional charges), after several days and desperate tries to speak with support they ended up canceling the booking, leaving me having to pay a much higher fee for the date I needed the car for. The worst support ever, a stylish brand will only take you so far, without customer advocacy and help you won't last long.

As a car rental service they are great. No issues with the actual car, pickup, pricing etc. What completely lets this company down, and will likely tank this business in the not too distant future, is the app, which is a complete piece of garbage - crashing multiple times, not accepting information and buttons just simply not working. Wouldn't be the end of the world if you didn't have to USE THE APP TO START THE CAR. Needs to be fixed ASAP

Great Mercedes A Class car, great drive and amazing integration with my Android phone; note: the car doesn't have USB C cable, only Micro USB and Apple Lightning, but I brought my own. The app worked well to manage the car during the time of the rental. Was sent good sms reminders and pick-up/return information as well. Could add 2nd driver for free. BUT: hefty £39 charge when I had to bring forward the start time by 75 minutes to accommodate a change of timings for the event I had to get to.

Whilst the booking process itself wasn't 100% smooth as the app on my mobile malfunctioned a few times (but I managed to book it via my laptop), it was really pain-free to get the car itself. Instead of having to wait in line for a customer representative to take you to the car and walk you through the entire process, this was efficient and effective. Plus I love that Virtuo cars are automatic, comfortable and in great condition!

Overall, a good rentall service. The customer service was great - call and messages. The car would sometimes take a while to register my phone, and therefore wouldn't start. The beginning of the rental was a little stressful in the heat as the app wouldnt accept my damage report. Tried 3 times (twice with the assistant on the phone).

Too strict with their policy. Some information hard to find on website such as young drivers age and requirements to sign up. App is bit dodgy. When trying to send documents, they automatically take selfie picture. Customer should be given the option to press a button to take picture. No UK phone number where I can call and speak to a human.

My booking was cancelled at 5am today because the DVLA check code was missing (I was not told this was needed and there isn't even an option to upload it on a desktop, I had to download the app to even try but due to issues with their site this doesn't work) Finally after hours on the phone and another autocancellation, I'm told everything is sorted. After I arrive at the pick up point at 9am my booking has been cancelled again and I'm told my only option is to rebook for 11pm at night!!

Beware of Virtuo, they are lacking in virtue. Booked for 30 days, but had to cancel after a few days because of an emergency. No warning given that there wouldn't be a refund. They give you all other cautionary messages at the time you're about to cancel, but silent on you not getting anything back when you let them continue to make money on the time you had left. Suffice to say that they've lost this customer.

The app itself is very good but the concept makes no sense. £143 per day to rent a Mercedes A class even if you just book and return the car for 1hr with just one pickup location in the entire city. Mainstream car hire would be half this price for a day and multiple pickup locations and no mileage limits. I guess it makes sense if you really don't want to deal with going into a hire car office but even Enterprise deliver. Shame as I thought this would be really useful for ad-hoc hires.

I was lucky enough to get a vehicle during covid-19 and am very grateful to virtuo for it! The app did have some technical difficulties and on more than one occasion I needed to call a few times for them to remotely lock/unlock if the app wasn't connecting. Great service and company, the app could have been smoother!
