Vizio Smart TV Remote

Wow, where do I begin...this app is awful. Like so many others, this one works poorly. I downloaded it a long time ago to use for our smart TV. It worked fine. I didn't need it for quite a bit of time and came back when we needed it. Now, it's bogged down with adds and connects to the TV less than half of the attempts I make. I've restarted the phone, app, TV, and even router. Two star rating because it USED to work.

I really enjoy using this app, I have waited a whole week to test it out before writing a review. It works just like my remote that stopped working after I dropped it a couple times. After you download the app, just type the code that shows up on your tv's screen and boom! You're in. I just wished there was a Disney+ option then I'll be complete. Also you need wifi to use this remote! Otherwise, I'd highly suggest this if you don't want to spend any money on a brand new TV remote.

I love it. It's better than those other remotes that make me have to pair with my TV every time I wanna use it. Even better, if I cut my TV off, I'm able to cut it right back on. My only complaint is, do y'all have a universal of this exact kind of remote, cause I've got a smart tv in the living room for a different TV that I have to use a different app with that operates like the kind of universal that I described above. The kind I don't like. I've been using this app for I don't know how long.

This was THE best option I came across when the kids lost my remote. Although some ads would pop-up,they were easy to maneuver around while I used the remote. Other Apps I tried would force me to watch before I could click through each step. It was horrible! I did find that I had to Uninstaller, thenreistall for each Vizio TV would be using at that time. As though itstop scanning each device into home once connected to say my master TV, versus my others. All in all very happy with this remote!

Doesn't work. It takes forever to connect to the TV and sometimes it won't connect unless I force close the app. Once connected there's a lag between the remote and the TV. It isn't worth the 7.49 to get rid of all the ads, the vizo smartcast remote doesn't have all the buttons this one does but it's truly free and it actually works with no noticable lag.

Easy to operate, paired with TV no problem. It does work but there is a little input lag. I'm keeping the app just in case my actual remote for the TV dies or is misplaced. When you first open the app there is a big ad you have to navigate around but once you're in the app you just have the banner ad at the bottom of the screen.

Its good when it works. Doesn't work with all Vizio. The TV has to be on already. Sometimes it takes so long to connect its no longer worth watching anything. Maybe because it forces you to use wifi. I have great, fast and unlimited internet so no, that's not an issue.

This app is ridiculous to say the least! I don't have a remote for my TV and have used the Vizio smartcast remote. However, that app doesn't have all the functions needed to use certain options on my TV. So I searched around, came across this one and it does nothing at all!! Has me pretty frustrated to say the least!! You'd think these ppl that make these apps would have to test them out in some way be4 making it available to customers! You guys have some things to work on with this useless app

It doesn't work. It never got past the loading part to connect my TV. Reply to developer: Yeah, I would add a screenshot if I could. I have a vizio smart TV. I'm too lazy to find the model number. My wifi network was connected perfectly fine with my phone and TV. I only downloaded the app to see if I could download new apps on my TV because my physical remote doesn't have the V button. I'm not worried about it anymore. It's not worth the trouble.

Just plain doesn't work. Ridiculous huge ad that pops up as soon as you open app, almost can't even find how to close it. Then it won't connect my TV and phone, although they are both on and on the same wifi network. Just connected roku app and roku on another TV with no problems.

Not impressed so far. Downloaded last night cuz we misplaced the remote worked fine, but the tv was also already on when I began using it. Today went to turn it on and the remote app doesn't pair withthe TV since it's not on. What's the use of this if the TV has to be already on to use it? I mean it's good if your watching TV your just being lazy and don't want to sit up and grab the remote from the table, but this will not replace the original remote since it won't turn ON the TV to begin with

Only a few of the buttons work. I'm only keeping it because Lonnie is a remote hog and the power button is one of the few that work, so I can shut off the TV when he falls asleep. Very disappointing experience. I expected all the buttons to work considering it's a Vizio. I'm sadly disappointed and I will not put this app on another device.

so far everything Vizio sucks.... when its open and trying to use Netflix or Prime Video it opens then nothing. i have Vizio Smart Cast App too and it often says "can't launch App"... it doesn't say why or how to fix it... it just leads you in a never ending circle of clicking and can't launch app. the smart man buys something other than Vizio.

not bad works good, somtimes I have to reset the app because it stops working. But for the most part I like it better than the remote it came with because you dont have to point it at the tv. But one thing I have noticed so far is that I can not turn the tv on with the app not sure why , it just doesn't work.

Worked fine for a week, so I paid to have ads removed, worked fine for a week after that and now for the past month, Many TV reboots and a phone wipe/reset later, I still have nothing. It was nice while it worked. Not a perfect replacement for a physical remote, but it was good enough.

This is completely useless, install, open, select tv on network, it opens remote image with ad practically covering entire remote, and every time press any button, it says please enter correct code, but WHAT CODE? FROM WHERE?? CERTAINLY NOT SHOWING ON TV, AND NO OPTION TO GET "CORRECT CODE" , save your frustration and scroll on past this waste of time

Always takes 10 or more mins to load up with the devices that are on the same wifi. If it connected faster would be nice. The Roku and the Samsung remotes i have on my phone work super quick. This one is not.

3 stars for being a useful tool for when my significant other is using the remote for her TV. What can I say more, it works. The only reason for not having 5 stars is because I recently had to get a new phone. Transferred all my Google account/data to my new phone. Mind you, I paid to have the pesty advertisements removed on my old phone. 7 dollars and some change altogether. Come to find out I would have to pay again to remove the ads from my new device. I'm not one to complain but this is BS.

I installed this app to my Android phone and I was very pleased with the performance and ease with every use, I would recommend it to everyone who has lost their TV remote or misplaced it as I did and I was about to miss my favorite Movie!! Lol Now I hope I can have the app Installed on my laptop! Thank you,all! If I get it on my laptop, watch out for my next review!

Works for about a week. Then it has to be Uninstalled and reinstalled. I suppose if I paid the no add fee it may work. But...Three time for me. Done with this app. Don't waste your time and frustrations in this app.
