Voice Recorder & Audio Editor

I can't find a way to export recorded files from within the app. Otherwise I like it. Very very simple which is great to use as a scratch pad on the fly, but lacks almost any features like reverb or filters. Which would normally be fine, however it's not because again, I can't export to edit someplace else. I'll be finding a new recorder and you probably should too, unless you want your files stuck in the app.

Interface is simple and charming, but I paid the somewhat exorbitant price to get the ad free version. Then I discover that it will not record over 2 minutes if set to 48k (the default). I have tons of available storage space, by the way. I had to reduce quality to 16k to get it to exceed the 2 minutes (haven't tested the "limit" on that yet). Also, share does not function. At all. I'll try to use it because I paid so much for it, but I can't help feeling like I got scammed.

Edit. Since they went from free to free versus paid, the app has gone downhill. For instance you can no longer easily share saved files, you have to search for them (good luck), then transfer to a computer or somewhere else in the phone (If you can get them to transfer) and email them. Several other issues reduce my five-star rating to a three. Given the changes, I'm unwilling to pay for pro in case I run into the same problems.

Overall an excellent concept. Easy to use, good quality recording & playback, ability to pause recording & pick up where one left off... Provided it's not saved! Once the "Save" button is pressed, there's no way to go back to a previous recording to edit / add to it. Also, as others have mentioned, there are no "Rewind" or "Forward" buttons. The ability to Edit is highly important! Hence my 4-Star rating.

I've been using this out for over a year with no problem. Now when I try to play back my recorded content only the first minute is captured and everything after that is muted. The file shows the actual length of the recording (3 mins, 5 mins, etc., but the actual recording is about 1 minute of sound with the rest of the recording being blank and empty.😖😠 Luckily I am noticing this while editing a project, but if I had sent this to someone, they would be receiving only partial content.

I have gotten a lot of great use from this app. Even gladly paid the subscription for it. Unfortunately, due to Samsung not allowing third party apps to access Bluetooth microphones, this app is less useful to me than it may be for others. If you want to wire in a microphone, then this is going to be awesome for you and probably worth the subscription.

This is super easy to use & share audio w/. NO intrusive ads! Especially nice for us who used to use old style cassette recorders. It's like a blast from the past only the clarity is much better! I highly recommend this for ease of use and the ability to save and/or share your recordings. U can record for as long as u want, no holding anything down while u record just hit record, stop when done, save to share from ur phone's files. Done! 👍👍

I really enjoy using this app. The different tape decks and tapes are so much fun. I love being able to label my tapes just like the "Good Ol' Days". My favorite part has to be when I click, "SAVE" and it makes the sound of the tape ejecting. WHAT'S BAD: You can't share your recordings, you can't cut or edit your recordings, you can only access your recordings within the app. These are all things people want but aren't being made available. This could be such a great app.

It's very good and practical this voice recorder cassette. The only downfall it has that when recording and my phone screen goes dark. It wont show if it's still recording in the process while its recording. I was bootlegs a show and some parts of the recording goes in silent. I had to speed up in order to see if it recorded. Needs more work. I can't be tapping on the screen so it wont go off. But it's a good app. Needs more work on it.

The coolest voice recorder ever!!! I'm old enough to have had a cassette recorder, and the interactive nature of this virtual recorder is amazing!!! Buttons move, sound effects, tape comes out, the ability to name cassettes, and on and on it goes... I can use my Bluetooth headset to record on the fly, and so no limitations! If you're at all nostalgic, and need a voice recorder that's as fun to use as it is functional, THEN THIS APP IS JUST FOR YOU!!! KUDOS, KUDOS, KUDOS!! {I'm not worthy!}

I love the simplicity to this app. It continues to be a "must-have" with every new phone for the past 3 yrs. Originally I found it to record my crazy girlfriend and her "other" personality, because she always seem to conveniently forget all of the psychotic insults she lashed at me. I like it cuz it's quick and simple. Two clicks and your recording! I love it. It would be nice if there was an editor option, or compress, to delete dead space and save storage space! Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars!

I use a bluetooth headset and it records me very clearly but it doesn't record the other party at all. I'm a truck driver and it's convenient to record directions from my customers so that I can replay it when I'm having a problem understanding them because of the language barriers instead of spending extra time having them repeat themselves.

Great audio, easy pick-up. Love this app. It's so easy to record worship music at church. It picks up a great mix of sounds you want to hear, and not much background noise. Unlike many other similar apps, this one is much more discriminating when it comes to differentiating between music and white noise. It is also great for recording speech, whether standing near the speaker, or across the auditorium.

I've only just downloaded this and played with it a little bit, but so far it's VERY cool. The "retro" look of a portable cassette player/recorder makes it enjoyably easy for those of us "retro" enough to have personal knowledge of those machines (yes, back then they were "machines", not "devices":). Anyone should find it simple & intuitive to operate. The simple voice recordings I tested sounded crystal clear & true. I'll revise this if after a time I find any issues, but so far, EXCELLENT!

I really enjoyed recording, and then being able to apply the recording tools to each recording. Sometimes the recording sounded better without using the recording tools, but most of the time , the tools really enhanced my recordings, even though I was recording the music and my guitar out of the air, no cables connected , and everything still mixed together , nicely.

I use this app to capture song ideas throughout the day. I love the 80s aesthetic and fx. This app has always been rock solid and I can't recommend it enough. Other reviews say you can't stop/start recording which is false. I regularly toggle between stop and record all day and it picks up right where I left off allowing you to append to the recording. The time indicator on the top right clearly shows where you are in track.

I love the UI and UX of this app. It's very slick and polished, and I love how the cassette options are based on real cassette designs from yesteryear, I recognize some I actually used. I'd be willing to pay for the premium version so I could freely choose the skin options. But it's a subscription rather than a one-time purchase? Not a chance. It's laughable to charge a monthly fee for a fancy skin on one of the types of apps every phone comes stock with these days.

Nice recorder, works great. It has some ads that are non intrusive and I am fine with that. The first recording I made with this app, was 20 secounds just to see how much background noise it would pick up. At about midway it picked up the words "help me". It was extremely faint. I was alone in the house out in the country. I was wondering if the author of the app, enbedded it in the app. The question to the author, did you?

This is the BEST recording app I have ever seen! The retro tape recorder is SO cool! It reminded me of the recorder I always used as a kid! The sound quality is AMAZING! Another thing I LOVE about this app is that when you delete something, it puts it in a recycle area so if you made a mistake deleting it you can get it back again! The visual appeal is PERFECT! It even sounds like the recorder I used to own! This is the 1st recorder I thought was worth paying for! It can't be beat in my opinion!

I love Voice Recorder! It's incredible having it right there, available any time inspiration comes up! I can take it out of my mind and save it on tape. The audio quality is excellent too. I just wish someone could tell me how to transfer all of my recordings, to my new phone. I transferred the app but the audio isn't coming through and it is the same make and model phone.
