I use this for recording and transcribing information, and the app works well for my purposes. The sound quality is good even for quieter speech. Docked one star because even after I paid to remove ads, the "rate me" notification kept popping up, which was super annoying. Hopefully that will stop now that I have rated the app. Edit: The "rate me" message is no longer showing up. If you rate the app right off the bat, the pop-up will go away. Upgraded to five stars.

Great quality, easy to use. I use this to do voice-overs for training videos. The quality beats the stock Samsung recorder on my S8. Only suggestion for improvement is to get rid of the notification when the recording starts. It shows up on the recording, even when on silent. I manually turned off notifications for this app, but not before needing to edit a bunch of clips.

latest update disappointing: I used to be able to give a title to a recording before it was saved, now it saves with a recording number (unhelpful). My other app (music slow downer) won't recognize a voice recorder file once the name has been changed. This wasn't a problem until sometime in the past week. I'm assuming this is a software upgrade gone bad. Hope it will be fixed

This app is great for what I need; quickly recording song ideas & thoughts. I really like that I can access the sound files easily to transfer to my laptop. The only down side to me is that you can't add to the sound clip once you're done recording. You can cut it down, if you want to. Thanks for creating this easy to use, very handy recording app!!! 😁

I used for 1st time yesterday, wanting to record phone conversation. I had phone on 'speaker's. The app was very easy to use and understand. it was quick and accurate in recording, saving, and it was easy to access recorded file. Listening to it, the caller's voice was clear, loud, and easy to decipher. My voice could not be heard, but maybe it would have recorded it better if I didnt have phone set to speaker. in any event, I needed to hear caller, not myself- so this app is wonderful!

I've used this app for years. I used to do voice recordings for English language schools and apps and you can get audio recordings on your phone on par with an actual studio quality mic if you're in a quiet enough environment. The ads are annoying for the free version, but it's easily the best recording app you can find on the app store. You can splice, have great audio, and it's free. 10/10. After trying at least 20 different apps like this, this one is undoubtedly the best.

This app is terrible. Just downloaded this app to start recording a story I'm writing. I hoped it would be easier to capture the moment by voice than it would be to try and complie my words on paper. Half way through playing my recording back, the audio becomes a jumbled mess that sounds as if it's skipping. My audio is lost, and so is the moment. This is a terrible app. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Download something else. 0/5 stars.

It is what it says it is. Plain and simple. You can record, title the recording and it saves to a library of recordings. I used to use it to record public speakers so I could listen again later or send the recordings to friends. Nowadays, I use it to record little jingles I think of and don't want to forget. It's easy! It does have ads, but most free apps do. There aren't that many and they won't interrupt you when recording.

Overall a pretty good app for free but does have a few glitches used with a Moto Z2 Play. The recordings have random breaks in the sound every so often, which is not ideal. Also, sometimes I have a hard time playing back the recordings and have to reopen the app to listen to them. I have made do with it and overall it has worked OK for what I am using it for (voice-overs for videos).

Do not, and I repeat DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! When you first download the app, everything works fine, but I've discovered a cheap trick these people play on you! they'll have everything be all good and working until somewhere close to two months past, after that they do this things where they'll play random ads everywhere! You dont even have to be on the app it'll just play ads, while you're texting, watching movies, YouTube and even when you're talking on the phone!

Could not find a specific ringtone I wanted on free sights. I found the sound I wanted, but was unable to convert. I used this voice recorder to complete the transfer of the wanted sound clip and now use it as the preferred ringtone. This app is very easy to use. It works while opening multiple apps. The recording is extremely clear. I'm keeping it on my phone and not interested in any other recording apps. Thanks for its creation!

Super easy to use! The record button is right there when you open the app. When you press stop, it automatically pops up the option to give it a name to save as, with the date and time on it (and you can change it as you wish). Easy to record, easy to play back, easy to find what you want if you create a good naming system for yourself. Easy to delete if you don't like the recording and try again. Great, straight-forward app!

I use my phone to record singing for practice, and starting and stopping a lot tends to happen. Between recordings there's and ad. Listening to recordings... There's an ad. I get needing to make money off of what you've made and all, I do... But this destroys the functionality of the app for someone who's using it how I do. I'll have to find another one, I suppose.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE This App!!! 😁 I can record Any Thing! Any Conversation over media, etc! Don't Pay for Useless garbage apps that have restrictions! This one Does It All! It does record Voice Mail messages which can be annoying if you get a lot of marketing calls, but it's worth clearing Those out just to have a recorder that works well! Oh, and it doesn't make a weird sound when you start it, so you can start the voice recorder in The Middle of a conversation and No One is the wiser!!!

This is the first phone recorder that records the way I want, with clear clarity. I do a lot of recording from a distance simply because I can't get close, always before there was such distortion and muffling. The voices were not clear and there was no clarity to them. It did me no good to record because the reason for recording was to listen to the recordings over or transfer them to another file and remove from my phone to keep from filling it up. But I really like this one!! GREAT JOB!!!

I left a negative review earlier, but I came back to leave a worse one. Not only does this app barrage the user with ads and pop-ups, but it also forces you to save everything. There is an option to 'cancel' a recording, but the app saves it anyways, forcing the user to delete any bit or scrap or false start. Twenty years ago I used a perfectly simple and completely functional voice recorder which came standard with Windows: no ads, no pop-ups, no dysfunction. Lovely to see how far we've come.

Very easy to use, name files, find them and play. I posted the above a year or so ago. Hit my first furious can't-stand-this-stupid app experience--there is no useful help on how to trim a file. I CANNOT figure out how to select the portion to be trimmed. All they give you is three icons and pressing all of them accomplishes nothing. I accidently left on the recorder for two hours and cannot share it by email or Drive due to file size--I HAVE to delete 80% of this file and can't figure out how to do it. Google gives me nothing, even when I put in the (difficult to find) app developer name+ 'trim'. AAAARGH! I am downgrading my original five-star review.

This app is great! The graphic design for the app and icon is great. I use it for anything from Schoolwork or activities like making audio recordings for movies! I also love that your saved recordings show when you reinstall! A lot of big apps don't even do that! The only reason it's not 5 stars is 'cause when I want to cancel a recording, it saves it anyway and I have to go and delete it. Other than that it's great! The programmer said they wanted reviews and they deserve them all, good job! :)

This app does exactly what I need it to do. As a school administrator, I like to give quick feedback on walkthrough class visits. I immediately step out of a room and the teacher has feedback in email within minutes. The sharing option is perfect for that, and saving to a common audio format is ideal for sending recordings to others. Nicely done.

Makes it easy to record college classes. You can tailor the title with one restriction ... use of the colon locks the file and restricts any changes. It would be nice to be able to use the colon for listing time in the title, but it's a minor thing. I would also like to be able to tailor the title default and be able to more easily skip to a specific time in the recording. But overall, a very useful and straightforward app!
