VSCO: Photo & Video Editor

They make it ridiculously hard to cancel your subscription. Apparently you can't do it through the app, you have to manage the subscription through Google play (or whatever you use), but my Google Play doesn't seem to think that I'm subscribed to this so I can't cancel it there either. So I've just been charged for another year of a service I no longer use because I can't manage my subscription through the platform of the company charging me.

for almost over 8 months I have been having an issue where as soon as im done editing my photos and I go to save the photo, the app kicks me out and I have to restart over. I have to edit the same 1 photo at least 5 times before I can save it. this is absolutely ridiculous. and I have a membership. I need to get my money back because I used to love this app and recently its been garbage. There are better apps than this one.

Used VSCO for YEARS! was the only photo editing app I would constantly come back to and love. however, they put basic editing tools behind a pay wall. puts a bad taste in my mouth. lost a customer. I have bought many preset filters from them and intended on continuing to do so. I'm not going to pay any amount of money to put a GRAIN on my pictures. seeing many other users saying the same thing. very sad. do better VSCO...

Would love to give an actual review of this, but the app is completely gated off behind a paywall. Even the free 7 day trial is not available without credit card info, which is obviously a ploy to make you pay if you don't cancel in time or making it very hard to cancel at all. Judging by all the reviews on here that had exactly that happen, I'm glad I deinstalled immediately. I don't buy something I have literally not seen, especially with so many amazing free apps available.

Be very careful when trying to sign up for the free trial - I don't remember exactly what I clicked, but I ended up paying for a monthlong subscription while trying to do the trial. I can't go back and check (since my unwanted subscription is still active), but I'm guessing the app is purposely designed to trick you. (I've already deleted the app, so if anyone on your support team can give me my 8 bucks back, I'll increase my rating to three stars. Obviously not holding my breath there.)

I would rate lower, if there was an option to do so! I got this app because I heard great things about it! Had for a few months paid the $19.99 and I can't even use anything within the app without it saying it costs, why is this happening?? Need this resolved or I want my money back, this is ridiculous when you pay for something and you can't even use it. Not a happy customer.

Right now we can't "copy edits" because you're pushing the membership and aren't letting the features work as usual. I see the developer has responded saying it's free to use. I know it usually is. Today there is a pop up that says "these features are also available in our membership" and when you try to click "continue without" it won't let you complete the action. But if you click join it works immediately.

I loved all the filters and really wish I'd had more time to explore the app (the free week was great, I just happen to have a horrible cold). Ultimately, I couldn't commit to paying for a full year up front without knowing how much I'd end up using it, though I definitely would've signed up for another month at the monthly rate (which is given for informational purposes, but is not a payment option) had that choice been available to me.

I've been using this app for a while now and I absolutely loved it to edit photos for my website. However, lately the app has been crashing in the middle of me editing a picture. When I go to it and I try to edit again, it'll do the same thing over and over again. Also, if it does let me finish editing a picture when I go to save it, it just kicks me back to home and the unedited version is there, losing all of the work I did on the picture. It's ridiculous since I pay for this app.

Once again, the app is getting buggy out of now where. It was good for a while until the recent updates. I was hoping it'd be fixed but it hasn't. I would describe them but... There's so much. Images being duplicated, the same image being saved twice when I click to save one, random photos constantly being imported right when I open the app without me even inputting anything, etc.....

I used to really love this app. Couple oversights: 1) Android version: studio imported pictures don't show up if you move phones. And there is no way to do this manually. All the help files are garbage and a waste of time. I've wasted hours trying to figure it out. 2) I take thousands and thousands of photos. I usually edit in batch. The import feature doesn't let you scroll with a side bar to quickly navigate to the date. You have to tap tap tap scroll and see every single photo wasting time.

Love the high quality camera and the large selection of filters and editing features to make professional photos! However, when it comes to exporting my finished edits, there are many irritating technical difficulties. My camera roll receives the original photo before it was edited, rather than the finished edit. The deleting feature is fickle as well. When I select a photo to delete it, the thumbnail changes to another photo, and I get confused on what image I'm actually deleting. Please fix.

Used to love this app. I used to pay $20 per year for the premium subscription, and they raised itto $30/year or $7/month. You can no longer save your edits to your phone with the free version, which I think is crossing the line. I am canceling my membership and switching to the Lightroom app (which is FREE). There are plenty of other apps that can do exactly the same thing. Oh, and by the way, even when I did pay the $7/month my video edits wouldn't download to my phone. So, this is a scam.

I love VSCO! I think it is such a freeing and creative platform that fosters growth with visual medias such as photos and videos. I love the design and simplicity of the app. It's very easy for anyone to use. I do have a few critiques. Sometimes it has a few glitches in it(ex: changing the thumbnail of photos while scrolling, distorting images if I don't allow location to be shown). In fact, when I choose to display location, it shows nothing about the location of the photo. Wish I could DSCO

Very user friendly. I can correct lighting and color slack on those "perfect" photos. Montage is so much fun to use. Wish there was draft saving for that and being able to add music and live stickers, but there are other apps for that. Not that big of a let down; I still use it on many photos and videos. One downside, it crashes a lot when using videos on montage and have to start over, or it will let you finish it, but it won't save or post it having start over anyway.

I've used the free version of VSCO for a few years now because it was the best option for photo editing; I didn't mind the ads or that certain features were locked because the interface was so user friendly. Now, however, there are suddenly paywalls on tons of features and presets that used to be free. Thing is, I wouldn't even mind paying if it was like this from the beginning. At this point, I'm just going to uninstall and move to another app; heck, I'll just edit in Instagram instead.

I generally love VSCO as far as editing options for pictures. However, posting and saving is very buggy/touchy for me. It won't post the correct photo that I choose to upload. So weird! VSCO did not used to do this to me. Also, when in the studio, it'll display pictures in the wrong spot. And I just paid for the premium service for year #2, to find out it won't even post the correct photo anymore? If these issues are fixed, I'll take the review down, because I love it besides this.

Export issues... Whenever I export photos or videos and save to my phone they show as a black image. Most photos save as corrupted so I cannot use them! It seems to be when I edit in black and white more than colour, why? It's been 3 years since my last review saying the same thing and NOTHING has been fixed! Especially as the prices are increasing, again, this should not be an issue! Please fix asap!

I've been using VSCO for a long time now and things have been great! But as of the past few days I can't upload any photos, and if any go through, it's only a couple. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, logging out of my Google accounts, etc. Nothing works. I'm considering switching to another app since this one is no longer working.

I've used vsco for over 7 years and have absolutely loved it. However, they recently moved a bunch of previously free tools and filters (that I've used on a weekly basis for years) to premium only. Like really basic editing tools and my most used filter. I'm very frustrated and disappointed, as vsco has been my favorite photo editing app up until this point. Now there's hardly anything you can use for free. I will be finding another app to use.
