7/30/2020. 2 years and 3 months later. This app is still worthless. It won't even open so I can watch the NBA restart inside the bubble. How does a company so big not get it right after 2 years. Does anybody from the company even read these reviews? 4/28/18 App constantly freezes. I need to uninstall it every time I use it otherwise it won't let me log into my cable provider. It won't consistently cast to my TV and when it does, it disconnects every 30 minutes when the app crashes.

Too many commercials!! At least on my tv I can record and fast forward through them. Then once they're done playing, I'll be lucky if the actual show starts again. It's AWFUL! I just needed to watch the 1st 3 episodes of The Alienist to catch up but can't seem to get through the second episode without it just stopping after one of the commercial breaks. Been trying for a week now. Very frustrating. Once I get through these 3 episodes I'll probably delete the app because it sucks so bad!

The app just doesn't seem to work for casting, either through Chromecast or directly to the TV. The TNT logo appears, so you know there's a connection, but no show will ever actually stream. This is a bigger problem than most networks since the television app requires you to use your smart phone as a remote. It does work fine if you're watching on your phone, but it's 2019. Casting that works should be a given.

UPDATE: Downloaded again only because the NBA is back and wanted to tune in, hoping a year later bugs would have been fixed. To no surprise, it's actually worse. Now it won't even open and crashes as soon as it loads. Ridiculous Great ... when it works. i stream from app to Chromecast to watch the NBA. It crashes randomly and I have to restart at least every ten minutes. Update: It keeps getting worse and worse. Cant even watch the games. Uninstalling now, dont waste your time with this app.

The casting capability is just not there. I've tried casting to Chromecast and also to my smart TV. The devices are all on the same network, app has been installed and re-installed. Force-closing does not change the outcome. Once "casting" is disconnected, Live and demand programs play on my phone. Overall, a horrible app. This is my third time in two years I have decided to give the TNT app a try. All three have been a disappointment.

Very unstable to the point of almost ruining the experience. As an avid NBA fan, I frequently use the app (while signed in with tv provider credentials) to watch several games a year. I've never gotten through an entire game without the app crashing and having to restart it. In the ~2.5 hour coverage time I expect it to crash ~2-3 times. All other tv service apps/ similar programs hardly ever have this problem.

I only downloaded it for Snowpiercer, but I uninstalled it due to the ads. This app turned a 46 minute show into an hour and twenty minute show due to the ads. If you close the app during an ad, you'll be forced to watch an additional three minutes of ads. I'll wait for the show to be on HBOMax. I used my cable provider and was still given a ton of ads. Oh and the app's volume sucks. I watched one episode of season 2 and couldn't do it with this app. I pay too much for ad-free tv.

I was so excited to watch the new season of the Alienest when I downloaded the app. It freezes up with every set of commercials. I read the reviews but decided to chance it anyway. I'm extremely disappointed. I've closed the app and attempted to go back but it starts at the very beginning every time and why would there be commercials for the show I'm a actually watching within the show? I wish I had a better review but definitely be forewarned the technical issuesgave me a headache, literally.

Only got this because nba western conference finals are on tnt and not on watch espn. I can see ALL ads and commercials in breath taking HD. Time outs even... at one point during game 1, the screen was a smorgasbord of gold and blue, and I couldn't tell the game from a kindergarten kids finger painting masterpiece. Freezes, and once the game gets interesting, total lack of definition. I don't mean it's hazy, I mean TOTAL LACK OF DEFINITION! Fix it.

UPDATE: STILL one of the worst streaming apps I've used. Freezes phone, crashes constantly, uses excessive amounts memory. Chromecast steam also doesn't work well. Video quality is good, but randomly stops streaming within 2-15 minutes. Wrote the above almost two years ago, and the app is possibly worse today than it was back then. Downgraded from 2 stars to 1.

This app is abysmal. It constantly crashes and disconnects from Chromecast. It's not user friendly in the slightest. Hard to navigate menu and options, the scrolling bit on the homepage is too sensitive and suddenly it clicks stuff I don't want it to. This should not be an issue seeing as there are other successful streaming apps like HBOGO, HBOMAX, AMC etc.

2020 update: App takes a long time to open up, live games will stop playing in the middle, and when it doesn't work, my connection is blamed even though every other app or website will not have problems. Too bad there isn't a separate app for NBA TNT. The only app that gives me problems signing in to my TV provider (direcTV). Constantly gives a message that there was a problem verifying my account but I am able to sign in on every other app. Problem has been going on for about a year or so.

Horrible! It is 2020 and you can't figure out how to make a working app. I've downloaded the app and when I open it it sends me to a page to accept terms, but won't let me click into the terms or scroll on the page to accept. And yes, I've restarted the phone, tried it on and off WiFi, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, to no avail. There is a reason this only gets 3.5 stars...and that is generous. Catch up please!

Where to begin? Casting to the TV sometimes works, but rarely on the first try. A few adds are enough to blow out your ear drums. Ads will freeze the playback (seems to happen toward the end of an hour long show). It loses track of where you are 8n an episode of you do get cut off and there is no tracking to see which episodes you've already seen. I've already tried resets of both tv and device. The app is just not ready for prime time Thanks for the reply. But as I noted, there are just too many problems and it would be very time consuming to help you refine your app. I'll hold off and wait until it's been improved and try again next year.

When working, it's great. But at least 50% of the time it will not even open on my Android TV (Sony Bravia 2019). It also doesn't open half of the time on my Android phone (Google Pixel 6 Pro). There are some serious bugs that need to be fixed. Very disappointing. I don't have any problems with any other streaming apps on either device.

There's a 10 minute preview period and that's it without cable. The timer still counts down during ads, which is all I got. I have an ad-blocking DNS service and the app wouldn't even load past the intro screen without allowing their advertisers and data tracking through. This app is just a vehicle for advertisements and data collection. Steer clear. Edit: in reply to TNT's comment, I shouldn't have to download an app or check reviews to find that out. Be honest and make it clear up front.

Takes forever to load, and won't open most of the time. Just stuck on the loading screen. Also when it finally opened it wouldn't play the game I wanted to watch. It said there were issues and to try again later. I don't want to try again later, I want to watch it now. App used to work in the past, but something has changed and it's garbage now. This is probably why the NBA dropped TNT for Amazon because TNT streaming is terrible.

Apps that play video have been around for a long time. As such, you wouldn't think it would be that hard. But, apparently too hard for TNT. Issues? Sure, let me rattle off a few. Bluetooth connected audio lags so lips are out of sync with audio. Perfect. Who didn't enjoy Godzila? Commercials play back on top of one another and then continue playing when show resumes. At one point had three different audio streams playing back over one another. Total hot mess. Has no record of where you stopped watching to resume playback. Wouldn't be a problem, but it crashes or freezes ehough that it would be helpful to just have it pick up wherever it last died. Unfortunately, you have to try and fast forward the episode to the spot where you were, which in and of itself can cause app to freeze up again. Lovely. I love a good infinite loop. So, yeah I would never have this if it weren't for literally one show I'm currently interested in. Here's to hoping they release it to Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.

Plays perfectly fine... Until anything at all interrupts it, then it becomes a laggy, stuttery, freezing mess that can only be fixed by force closing the app. Got a message? Have to force close. Facebook pop-up? Force close. Call? Good look even getting to the force close. Sometimes even the app's own ads cause the freezing issue. Never happens with any other streaming service, so it's not my phone. The app has ZERO fault tolerance.

One of the worst apps available in the Play Store. Every other app that verifies your TV provider works flawlessly. However the developers of this app didn't pay attention in class that day, and don't even have the basic skills to reverse engineer a working app. Kudos to TNT for putting their name on such a miserable failure of an app. This is a prime example of why consumers turn to clandestine streaming sites to watch shows. Signing in...easy... heard of it?!
