WATE 6 On Your Side News

Apparently you care more about showing advertisements than letting us viewers read your news. The app doesn't load when I click on a notification. I am almost certain it's because the annoying ads are freezing and won't let you read the article. This has been an ongoing issue with 2 different phones. All you have to do is take away that stupid ad at the beginning. Everybody is going to click right out of the ad anyways so why even have it there?

Pretty worthless. It sends me notifications that I can only read a little bit of. And when I click on the notification, it takes me to the app but not that article. So now I know there was a multivehicle accident on I40. I have no idea where or when or how or anything else. The page the notification goes to is the traffic page and I don't see any articles with any such headline. Just got the app-now I've uninstalled. I see no point in being alerted about news I can't find info on.

8 out of 10 times when I open a notification to read the article, it opens up to an ad screen that is blank, screen is darkened for the ad, can't close the ad, and have to force close the app and reopen and find the news article. Really annoying

When you click on any news item , it freezes up. Can't scroll up or down. Tried restarting the app. No good. Also , uninstalled and then reinstalled the app , still doesn't work. Now I remember why I uninstalled it a few months ago ! It's garbage ! I'll stay with WBIR and WVLT ! Come on WATE , get with the program !

New, updated version is terrible. Much of a smartphone screen is taken up by ads and news videos that never load, so trying to read the news is too much of a bother. The added weather option is similar. What was once my go-to news source has been uninstalled out of frustration, and replaced with another news app.

All I wanted was just weather and school alerts for my area only. I don't want to download an app for that. I used to get just texts with this info and it was awesome but they discontinued the text service so we'd be forced to download this stupid app that doesn't work half the time. Uninstaller and super disappointed

Used to be a great app,but now it's not helpful. I mainly used it for the weather, and the new layout doesn't make it easy. Also, there were tornado warnings that I was only suddenly alerted to an hour after I saw them on the TV. I had even gone into the app when I saw it on the TV and there were no alerts. Very disappointed with this app.☹

I like not having to watch news on television in order to keep up to date with news stories but I have requested notification and never recieve them I have deleted the app and reinstalled. I have even changed phones and service and downloaded and I still don't get the notification. It's quite frustrating so I'll only give a 2 star

Disgusting amount of ads. You cannot tap any story without a huge ad coming up and when you try to touch the little X to make it go away half the time it thinks you clicked on that and you get more Spam. Don't bother with this app. I deleted it within 10 minutes of downloading it

Good App, needs better traffic alerts. The app alerts you to traffic problems then when you click the alert, you just get a map and you have to find the alert triangle to read more about it. Definitely not user friendly.

This station, "WON'T OPEN", not from the app or from settings. Seems like the same problem as I had earlier, my favorite channel for honest news and weather, on the go, REALLY??????

Current stories which are updated regularly throughout the day. Loads quickly. Up to date forecasts. Easy to navigate. My favorite app for local stations!

This is a great app for the news, but not traffic. When you look at the traffic incidents, the app only shows incidents from 2018 and older. If the traffic report was up to date, I would give 5 star.

Not a constant bother like many news apps. Just tells me the things I ask to be informed of and doesn't block what I'm doing on my phone. Very helpful.

I find this app convenient to use. Especially enjoy the way the weather is done. Wish the news was presented in a more neutral manner

You can't watch anything on the app... And when you try loading stuff you watch an ad and then get an error.

It is easy to use,but they should've left it as it was with weather separate. Cause now i can't get good weather alerts like i could. They ruined it.😭

I just it mainly for the weather and from time to time see something that catches my eye. Only time I have ever had a problem is when they do software update

My favorite news and weather channel. Love the morning weekday lineup. Especially Justin.I didn't think I would like him at first but he's really coming into his own and I think he's an adorable man. Very good at doing the weather too.
