WAVE 3 Louisville Weather

App is always running smoothly and easy interface to navigate weather wherever you are -LITERALLY! in the search bar you can look up your location (if you were to travel to Florida for instance) they have it updated for that location. Wave 3 has some GEMS working the news hours and I really appreciate that I can see that they all truly respect one another in the news room and there is genuine family chemistry there.

This used to be a great app but since about the last three four maybe even five updates it just keeps getting worse. Now when I try to check the weather where I'm at it always finds my location is somewhere else and when I put it to follow me or even change the city to where I'm at if it's in my list it's still just continuously churches and searches. And since several different cities use the same basic program it doesn't do a lot of good to get a different one.

Methodologically antiquated. Why offer trivial information like the temperature in lieu of more pragmatic information like "feels like?" also this app deserves a higher score but there is no feedback option in the app itself so a mediocre score might not get the attention I need to effect change. The truth is that it's a well organized, professional, mostly useful app that I'd much rather give a higher score to but some of the basics are not there and create a bigger net problem.

Been using this app for years, but the new radar is horrendous. Revert back to the old radar where I could chose if I want past or future. Keep it simple. December 13, 1025 Edit: They brought back the choice for the radar! Back to 5 stars

Excellent notifications and multiple platforms to watch and get warnings on.

I love the temperature for my area. I love checking the radar , to see if there's going to be precipitation, in my neighborhood.

Great app, but I had to delete it. Even when notifications are blocked, the audio for the AN UPDATE FROM THE WAVE STORM TRACKING TEAM HAS ARRIVED still plays. It has woken me up several times, and I haven't found a way to turn that audio off.

Used to love this app. Now instead of smaller timeline that starts at time radar is opened, there's big white bar that starts at arbitrary time chosen by them. To make it worse middle of bar has no readable timeline so it's useless to plan your day. Today, for example, I opened radar map about 10 but timeline started at 8:30. I need to know about what time that rain is supposed to end so I can plan when my dog is taking me walking. Yes, old 6hr timeline was usually accurate to +/- 20 minutes

Remember back a few years ago when you ask us users how we would feel about a ad free version for a small one time fee? I remember. What ever happened to that plan. I know many of us would gladly pay a few dollars for an ad free experience. I'm not really expecting a reply since it appears you never reply to any feedback or reviews of your app.

always reliable and easy to use

It's sad that all of the weather apps in Louisville are getting less advanced & less useful but that's the way it is. This is no exception. Once upon a time we could get an interactive map that showed projected future weather pattern, but no more. We can look out window & see what's going on now. Hourly page tells us % chances but doesn't tell us what areas that rain front may effect, so is also effectively useless. I've tried this app before & uninstalled for excessive ads. We'll see.....

This WAVE 3 weather app is pretty bad overall! So one good thing is I can always see my current temperature in the status bar at the top of my phone! I have all notifications on (rain, lightning, tornado, ect.) & once in a blue moon I'll get notification letting me know that the weather outside has turned bad! I still use the app from time to time but for any notifications about bad weather in my area I have to use The Weather Channel app which will send you notifications when needed!!!🌞⛈️🌪

The only thing I don't like is, if I change apps, and come right back, even less than 1 minute, the "Kevin Called It" loading screen comes up. I have to wait for it to load again. It does this every single time I leave and come back to the app, no matter how long I was gone. Even if I lock my phone, and open it right back up, less than 10 seconds.

Previously rated a 3 and said the app was decent. Not anymore! The video forecasts always cut off mid-sentence and roll into another commercial. The end of the forecast is just gone and you never learn what it is. To be fair, the app is a reflection of the poor weather forecasting. You can't plan by the forecast. They get temps right, but hardly ever in rain, storms or snow

I like the app overall but had to delete because of unwanted notification sounds. The app overrides the settings to turn off notifications and turns them back on in the app. I have changed daily with no luck of keeping them off. Even when you turn notifications off in phone settings and in app settings, it still sends notification sounds with nothing in notification bar.

Edited Review...changes in the app and increased ads make it crash often and not work correctly. So frustrating that I uninstalled it today. My original review: I can pinpoint my location, get great radar layers, see storms in action, lots of other great layers you can add to the map. Earthquake layer is interesting! Love that it sends weather alerts

I really love the app, especially when the voice alert sounds!! In the threat of dangerous weather it really keeps me informed and gives you time to get to safety if need be. I also like the videos! Overall this app gives you all kinds of information like when is the best time for star gazing to when is a good time to go jogging .

Ive been a Wave 3 weather fan from the time I was old enough to understand the science behind weather! And the meteorologist make it easy and fun to learn about weather😉 I am a hard core B.O.T.S fan. So i have to have this app. And I am always excited for the Wave 3 winter predictions to come out at the end of October. This is a 100% must have app! If you don't have this app and you live in the viewing area I recommend you download this app right away and join in the fun!

This app used to be quite reliable, but suddenly stopped displaying the temperature. It disappeared from both the status bar and the lock screen, and no troubleshooting/settings finagling have remedied. Deal-breaker. Had to switch back over to Android weather (Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra).

Radar works fine. Follow me is useless. If I look at the Radar for another city don't ever think it will switch back to my current location. Even though I say current location I am forced to delete every other location in the memory in order for my home location to be displayed. Have deleted and reinstalled the app numerous times still same result.
