WDSU News and Weather

I read the comments and reviews before I downloaded it, and they were pretty much correct, whoever developed your app needs to fix it, there are too many ads, the live radar is not correct half the time, I wish when I clicked on a article to read it I didn't have to have all the ads pop up beforehand, I didn't download this app to watch and read commercials I downloaded it so I can get accurate news and accurate weather which doesn't seem to happen... Without having ads all the time.

This app does what it needs and nothing else. It for some reason only displays video at one direction when landscape mode (meaning you can't flip your phone) and I find the weather alerts are generally wrong. But the weather alerts can be turned off manually, if fact you can customize all the alerts which is fantastic. Honestly good app. It's my go to for news, but there's the little things that annoy me that feel like they should just be there automatically.

I just want to click on an article and read it. I DO NOT WANT to have videos and video ads forced down my throat eating up my data. Uninstalling before I've even found a replacement. Just got on my nerves too many times. Please don't force videos on users. Especially ad videos. Maybe just bring up a prompt if a person wants to watch the video they can click it, and then the ad pops up!

For the past 2 days everytime I try to go to the wdsu 6 it says data unavailable and I try refreshing it and I still get the same results. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still the same thing happens. I'm not having any data problems with any other apps. My internet is working fine except for wdsu 6. Please correct this problem. I've emailed to report the problem and no one has gotten back to me about the issue

I love this news app. Unlike the two other apps (not calling them out) for the other local channels, I can watch it live without long ads every 3 minutes or so. One other local channel app reports nothing but food and festivals while the other runs constant cheap lawyer ads with 3 day old weather forcasts. This one stays up to the minute with live coverage. Wish I could rate this 6 stars.

A game coming up in a few days isnt alert worthy, neither is "store opens back up" or anything that isnt breaking news. I found myself jumping everytime the wdsu alert sound popped, which is about every 5 minutes, i disabled the alerts, but they came back up by themselves. I will reinstall when they have 2 different alerts, the breaking news and a not so loud new article was published alert.

I am getting notifications for every possible news update. Including irrelevant ones which is annoying. Should allow to choose what notifications to get instead of every single update you send out. In the meantime I will remove the app. No need to have over 50+ notifications a day with only 10 that are actually important.

News is always current and on point. weather is always accurate and explained you know what's going to happen and when it's going to happen with accuracy

Crashes ALL THE TIME!! Can't read articles or check the radar without that infuriating message popping up, Unfortunately the app has stopped working. I hoped the update would fix this but it did absolutely NOTHING. This app is totally unusable and worthless!!!

All of a sudden it stopped working. I open the app then it closed on its on. I had this happen twice in a row. I uninstalled it then reinstalled it to see. After reinstalling it and giving full permission to it, it closed on me again. What is happening? 12/02/2024

It's ridiculously bad. It takes five minutes to upload a single video there are multiple pop-ups. I usually just give up and go look for the news somewhere else. May as well uninstall it

Like that this channel tells me exactly what time bad weather is headed my way. It keeps me informed and updated about local news and can watch when it is convenient for me. I find WDSU weather to be more accurate than the Weather Channel.

This had a loud obnoxious chime for alerts that can't be turned off. I uninstalled it for this reason. But, links to alerts also don't work. For general New Orleans news, it is good.

Even once you set your notification preferences, they still overload you with notifications at all hours of the day and night. Not everything is an emergency

I love this app but it's really annoying to continuously get notifications for sports and entertainment even though I have my settings saved to not recieve those.

The only problem I have is when you send an alert about a story, you do NOT give enough text about the story. Instead, you put in a big picture that doesn't tell me anything. Please provide more text about the story.

The app is buggy, doesn't work well and it gives me "this app has crashed and closed" message even when I'm using other apps, had to uninstall.

Just scary videos about people almost getting shot or run over. Or else crime. Sensationalist. Virtually nothing of substance. And you'll get push notifications all day.

I dont mind ads but if I rewatch a news video why do I have to rewatch the ad? Why does the radar default to PAST activity?? Everytime I log in to check for approaching weather I have to select FUTURE. Arent more people concerned with location of current and future storms?

App no longer works. it just stays frozen and then crashes. I will be installing it if it's not fixed asap.
