it's okay. I have the premium version but for some unknown reason I'm unable to open the weather from the notification bar, if I expand it and click news maps or radar it will open but just tapping on the weather it will not. other than that it's okay. rain times were off quite a bit and I've had it raining but it tells me it's clear. At least it updates my location properly.
It's fine. As a weather app, it's good. But I set my privacy settings how I want them, and almost every time I open the app, it wants me to set them again because it doesn't like that I toggled all the data acquisition ones off. It's also annoyingly ad-filled, and asking me to subscribe regularly. If they offered a one-time-purchase, I would buy it. But I don't want to rent my weather app, thanks. For those reasons, I'm uninstalling and looking elsewhere.
It kept thinking I was 10+ miles away so I tried to get into the settings and found an INSANE number of companies to block, if you don't want them sharing your data with them ....and you have to do it twice. I spent probably 20+ minutes going through the first list, rejecting all these advertising (aka spying) companies, only to come to a second huge list. I gave up, and just uninstalled the whole app. This is absurd. I might've kept it if there was an easy way to reject all of them at once.
Forecast accuracy was hit and miss. The real problem is tracking. I installed an app from DuckDuckgo to block tracking attempts by apps. It was eye opening. Of all the apps I use, Meteored was by far the worst in terms of tracking attempts. Often by a factor of 10 or more. Doesn't even matter if you use the app or not, it will still initiate multiple tracking attempts. I haven't used the app in the last 2 days but still over 200 tracking attempts were made. Yikes!
lots of data and the radar is current (unlike the app I just dumped). ads are not super intrusive. mostly the choices for notifications and icons are sufficient. it's alright. but every few days I have to reconfirm my tracking and communication choices and it's getting old. I'm not choosing them on a whim or for certain short term conditions. Reject All, Save and Exit is permanent and the interruption is increasingly irritating, enough to ditch this app next.
I like this. The ads are just annoying enough that I might consider paying for it. However, it is wildly inaccurate. The temperature is 15 degrees low, and conditions are wrong. I could do without the news and videos, and they aren't interesting or helpful. The maps are nice, but it's confusing as there are too many different ones. There are too many themes which aren't useful. The widgets could be improved to include one with future hours.
Just switched from Samsung to Motorola and I'm trying to find a weather app that is close to what the cool app pre installed on Samsungs. I've gone through many lousy weather apps and then stumbled across this one. Wow! I love this app so far. It's similar and awesome to use. Don't particularly care for the ads but at least so far they aren't intrusive. If pay to remove them if it was a reasonable one time fee, not a monthly or yearly fee. That's ridiculous imo. Anyway, great app so far!
Meteored is one of the best weather apps I've used, and I have tried quite a few. The widget is customizable and the ads on the detailed weather page aren't intrusive like many other apps. The temperature seems to be accurate, which is a necessary feature for me. I also appreciate the inclusion of wind speed on the widget. A couple small requests: Could you add the day of the week to your widget and daily rain chance? It's annoying having to pull down my notification bar to see which day it is.
Looked very good on first use -- and still is. Only 4-stars because of the small, embbed ads with "Install" button much too easy to trigger. This weather app is the best I've found -- and more. Accurate so far and have found it better than those that differ. Has more detail than any other, yet is simple and intuitive. After years of trying many weather apps, this the one I hope to keep, but will use the Pro ad-free version. Purchased 19/2019.
I've been searching for an app that has everything I want. Daily forecast, Hourly forecast, humidity, air quality, cloud cover, radar and satellite. I've been using the app for about a week and so far I'm impressed. Edited 08/06/22: The app stopped updating, I tried everything to fix it. Keep getting error messages about their service being improved. After a reinstall, it won't let me choose a location, no matter what I do.
Cannot turn of notifications. It's so frustrating that despite specifically turning off notifications for this app, it continues to send them anyway. The app icon nicely tells me the current temp and a very brief forecast. That's all I need, yet I keep getting notifications telling me the same information. I'm close to dumping this app for another that doesn't have this irritating "feature".
I downloaded five different weather apps, including the Weather Channel. so they all got equal judgement. lol. one by one, I've deleted all but Meteored. This will be my go-to for weather info. Great user interface, accurate location that can follow you if you want, radar map available, future forecast by the hour, just any and all info you want in a user friendly app. Plus an alert feature. This is a keeper.
A pop-up shows that they are taking privacy serious. Serious enough to bother you every time you start the app. Also support doesn't respond anymore to emails at all. The location is shown from a place two weeks ago and never updates. The shown information is also off. Don't know what else to do besides leaving a bad review if support just doesn't bother anymore to respond.
I don't often rate apps, but this app is truly stellar. It gives way more detailed information than other weather apps in a truly accessible and aesthetic manner. I'm really surprised by the amount of information and customization available in the free version. The widgets are really artistic, clean, and chock full of useful data. This weather app is unlike all the others and definitely worth supporting.
Love the layout but very inaccurate weather reporting. I'm in SoCal so the weather doesn't change drastically, but the temperature on this app is always off by 8-12 degrees for the morning temps. Which makes me question what else it's wrong about. It's a shame because this app has a great layout. Update 12/11: checked snowy mountainous areas I'm driving through soon for xmas on a 13hr drive, forecasts were wildly from every other app. Deleting, do not use.

I really like this app as someone who used AccuWeather for years and then switched to Weather Channel. I have been searching for a much better weather app that doesn't bombard me with notifications all the time. I love the layout of the app as well. I like how easy it navigates from current weather to news i also like how it tells you what the moon is going to be that day. I think I finally found the weather app that is right for me to use for a while.
Looking at the data permissions which is constantly forced on you to opt out of or fully accept ( doesn't seem to remember for long if you opt out), one gets the sense that if they could siphon their users souls for a few bucks they would be... even if you opt out as much as possible, some are locked on regardless ! Encourage all to look through the pages & pages of groups this app wants to share your data with... otherwise a decent enough weather app...
Rather unhappy about this app. I've used the Met office for years but I decided to have a change and chose this after trying others. At first I was really impressed with it's detail and layout but I'm not impressed with it's accuracy in spite of all the solid sources it has. Maybe it's because I live in a town in England famed for its unreliable weather, but the Met office is more accurate in my location. Rather wish I had paid my subscription to them and not Meteored. Going back to Met office.
So far the best weather app ever. Ive tried over 20 apps and some were full of goofy things like horoscopes and other were completely wrong. One would give a forecast of .163" of rain one day and the next would predict 42" in 24 hours when you add up the hourly amounts. This one gives you a look 2 weeks ahead within 5 seconds of opening it.
This is the best weather app I've found as it allows customization so you can choose what YOU want to see, rather than a bunch of clickbait shoved in your face. Great layout and widgets that are actually useful, and also customizable. I quickly switched to the paid version and am happy.
