This is one of the best, most useful apps I have. I love it! The app presents certain data better than my WeatherLink console. I would recommend it even to people who don't own a Davis weather station, because with it you can access other people's Davis weather stations worldwide. When I travel, I always check for a nearby weather station and I have almost always found one close. A couple of reviews from June 2025 say that the latest version has ads. I have NOT seen ANY ads.
Last update was strange: it tried to ask me for my credentials again. I backed out, then went back in. Seemed to be fine but nothing is live now. Useless... Update 9/23: I discovered that after loading the app, if I click the plus sign at the very top left and add my station back in (I may have to back out once or twice and repeat), the app suddenly goes live. But on initial load it SAYS "Live" but isn't. The workaround above is the only way I can get it to work.
The latest version as of the writing of this review (end of June 2025), has added....wait for it....ads. I would put numerous expletives here, but then this review would just get flagged. I paid money, a good amount of it, for the hardware and now I'm subjected to ads when I want to view the data?! Give me a break! Don't buy Davis hardware..... it's garbage if this is how they treat their customers.
Good way of viewing my weather station data live over the Internet, also current data from any other stations I choose. Perfect.
Very annoying that there seems to be no way of updating the display without going back to the list of stations and then selecting the station again. The app is nothing like as slick as the Netatmo one, for example no Charts view when turning the phone sideways. There also doesn't seem to be a way of getting an alert for rainfall or low temperature.
The website is not scalable on my Note 10. The interface is OK on a computer screen but isn't responsive to a phone or tablet. As it's an app that's unforgivable. The app, linked to a console and Weatherlink does not show historical data stored in the console. The app doesn't update the level when buying pro membership - remains on basic. App and Weatherlink description on how the system works is very poor. The Weatherlink device is not worth the price, it's about £100 too expensive.
Not sure why the app let's me access historical data from a basic station, while the website only let's me access hisotircal data from an upgraded station. Also why, after paying for upgraded stations, am I having to deal with ads on this app. More so, ads that are in violation of content laws and inappropriate.
It's a good app to have on your phone. I just wouldn't have it as my one and only weather app. The latest program update stopped the app from refreshing for me, but I logged back in again (probably for the first time since I downloaded this app) and afterward it worked fine. This app depends on citizens with their own weather stations to have their weather stations set up properly, and connected to the internet. I'd have other apps for forecasts, but this for right now weather stats, etc.
Love this app! I too had an issue with the September 1 update so I sent them a message. Their quick response fixed the issue and it's very simple. Open the app on your phone...click on the little man icon...scroll to the bottom and log out...then log back in. Problem solved!
"Required" update doesn't follow regular Android update process but insists on you to press buttons, and then requires you to re-enter your login credentials! If this is a regular thing I'm going to have to stop using this app. (Also no apparent change in the app as far as I can see.)
A generally good app to use; the forecasts aren't very accurate, in so far as temperatures or expected rainfall are concerned, but the general trends usually play out. I would rate it higher if distances in metric countries were shown in kilometres, rather than miles. The temperature scale can be changed from Fahrenheit to Celsius, so why not do the same with distances?
Excellant app for monitoring my Davis weather station. One can also monitor other Davis weather stations near your area to give you a better picture of local conditions or just to see if one of your weather sensors is off and needs maintenance. The only think it lacks is radar but that is to be expected as it only gives you the data that the weather stations are producing.
Nice app that allows me to see the data from my weather station on my phone. Overall I like the UI, but wish you could reorder the favorite station listings on the initial screen (instead of alphabetical order). Would be nice if you were able to organize the station data based on your individual needs as well plus chart info beyond 24hr rain/solar.
Extreme weather records and graphs are now fixed. However the maximum record value needs to be looked at. It shows the current temperature instead of the maximum record. During a refresh, it removes the extreme value portion at the bottom of the interface so you have to reselect a date again. It is very annoying. It doesn't retain the information on the screen.
the Jan 4 2021 update has slightly modernized the look of the app., but seems to have changed something with how it charts data. Previous edition would chart 24 hours of data for temp., rain, wind, and barometer. Now it's more like 4 hours, or none, or maybe it just doesn't pull data overnight? Rather annoyed...
Tried the weather link trial version for a month in May 2021 just to see what it was like but unfortunately emailing them directly to cancel the trial month or whatever method to get through to them does not work and then got an email saying I've been charged for a years subscription? App had an upgrade Sept 2021 and surprise! Account shows basic subscription on Weather link app. Not even data showing on Weather underground. Get you act together especially for non USA based owners!😡😡😡
I generally like the new interface (both on this mobile app and on the web interface). BUT, I now have to pay at least $3.95/month to see my own stations historical data. Why????? I was able to see my stations historical data with the original Weatherlink. I provided the data in the first place, I should be able to look at my own data without paying a monthly fee. This is a significant downgrade and I won't improve my review until this problem is fixed.
good app gives all the info I need wish it would update the Info from my station more regularly but still nice app things I would recommend 1. widgets for phone would be nice to see the weather station Info straight from the home screen 2. app for smart watch I have the samsung watch would be great to see my weather station from my watch just to give me more ways to see my data like if my phone isn't on me 3. alerts on phone I wish I could set alerts on my phone for high temps or high rains
Tried to open app today, says theres an update to do wont open without the update, so I do the update which apparently adds Japanese language support, like I really needed that... and now with the update the app wont open to a weather station so it's totally useless... good job on the update Update 10/3/21. Newest update installed and still not working... app says "Server not responding" Can't look at my station or any one else's either Update 10/12/21. Newest update is not working either.
I am glad that Davis Instruments invested into their app. The interface is aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate, and contains a lot of information in one place. Perhaps one feature I would like to see added would be including dew point in the forecast as global temperatures and humidity rise. Otherwise, it is my favorite weather app thus far after many years of searching.
