It is difficult to deny permission to sell your personal data, which is on by default and now they have added AI. Bloated with location requests and other internal tracking. I have deleted my account and uninstalled the app. I will be using a different grocery store now, despite my family shopping at Wegmans for over 50 years, which is pretty depressing.
Just go back to the old version, this sucks! I have to acknowledge that the app is sorted by aisle EVERY TIME I enter the cart. I have to click on everything at least twice to get it to open. Searching takes 20-30 seconds to load, items take the same, it is AWFUL!! Oh, and my entire cart was deleted from the update, thanks for that.
Been a while since an update, but you use to be able to have someone pick up groceries for you and send a link, and it worked just like it does for you, all through the app, now alternate pickup person gets notification but has to call the store, you get customer service, then they transfer you to grocery pickup. Many extra steps and wasted time.
It's so very disappointing that this app has gone from being a great and engaging app to being essentially non-effective. I gone through this app for one thing or another and, it seems to be one issue after another. The now problem is that it won't allow me to retrieve "My Items." Wegmans you're so much better than this..... aren't you?
Used to be great.... although a bit slow. Now since the new update is even slower. And it keeps saying I don't have a shopping list started even though there 14 items showing on my shopping list. Should have left things alone. And the pharmacy portion of the app is even worse, if that's possible. You order things for home delivery and they snd a text saying it's ready for pick up. I ordered groceries for pick up and that got screwed up. I'm done with Wegmans. They suck!
If I could give this app a zero or negative stars I would. It is the slowest most aggravating app I have ever used. Creating a shopping list used to take 10 minutes but since the update it now takes me 20 because basic functionality is soooo slow. Typing an item into search, laggy. Click search may as well go have lunch and come back. Think you cleared your shopping list list? Nope everything shows back up. If you don't have to use it I wouldn't.
Sometimes this app works... if you're willing to wait several minutes to load.. and when it does, it freezes soon thereafter. I've deleted this app twice now in the past two months in hopes that it's been debugged. Not sure what kind of update was done a few months ago, but this app is not working like it used to. I'll stick to the online site for now! Please fix and stay away from complete app overhauls for a while!
I liked the previous version better. In the old version, I knew when my order was being shopped & could interact with the shopper if necessary - especially if something wasn't available. it was one of the great, stand out, above & beyond features of the old Wegmans app that made it better than other grocery apps. Now. it's as lousy as the others and I didn't even get a text message that my order was ready, or that it was about to be shopped so I could make last minute changes. Disappointing.
This app is absolutely terrible since the update. It requires log in each time it is opened, and the signal inside the stores means it takes forever to load, if it even loads. It will crash if you try to log in while in the check out line, or next to the register. I have searched for several items that came back with "no results" that I later found the physical item on the shelf after going up and down the isles a few times. Don't bother with it in the store, just type in your phone number.
The new version of the app is frustrating. Why continue to have checkboxes next to the items if the functionality of the boxes has been removed? Why can't we delete selected items anymore? I also miss having the ability to search previously purchased items. Now I have to sift through everything in the store. The app still tells where to find each item, and provides the shopper's club barcode. Other than that, it is less useful than before.
Crashes constantly and won't let you add things. It's the worst. Update 7/6: The app has not worked for letting store associates know you are there for about 2 months now, and they refuse to admit there's an issue and fix it. The link texted to you also does not work. They tried to tell me it was because I had other windows open. I have turned everything off in the background, closed out all apps, and it still doesn't work. Useless service if you have to then call and go through stupid prompts.
Inconsistent and frustrating. You can add groceries/ save recipes with ease. However, 1. When selecting "replacements", the app doesn't always recognize the selection. 2. When responding to the text to "check-in" the link does not open (crashes and says app not responding due to a bug). This means you must go to the app to check-in. 3. The app check-in is not always an option. It's literally is not on the screen where it belongs. Which means you must call the store upon arrival! Please FIX ASAP
I don't understand this new update. I used multiple lists on the old app. One for a quick shopping trip, one for my biweekly trip, etc. Those lists are saved on this new app but does not allow me to add items to those lists. The only editing I can do to them is to delete all items in my saved lists or change the name. I want to be able to ADD items to the list as well! I also do not think it has the best search engine.
The old app was substantially more user friendly. I liked being able to find my regularly purchased items using the tab while searching. I also liked it when I could select certain items and delete all of the items at the same time. Now it's a multi-step process to get things off of my list. The coupons are becoming less relevant so I will likely not be using the app as much as I used to.
Since this app was updated, it is useless for all the reasons people have noted. Most infuriating is that it now keeps multiple lists within the same account. I add items using my personal laptop, phone and work computer, but they no longer sync or something. Different items listed at each "location." How is that helpful??
I enjoy the convenience of this app when it works. It lists my items, so I can easily reorder things I get regularly. It gives options to choose replacement item or refund. I can select my pickup time and get notifications when it's ready. Unfortunately, I had to stop using the app and have to use the website to order. The last several times I've used the app to let them know I've arrived, it glitches and the link won't work. I have to call the store number and speak to customer service.
App for Android. Everything works well until you place a pickup order. Once I place my order, I get the text to pick it up...but the text doesn't allow me to click the link. It tells me there is a bug and to update the app (no update available). Then I open the app and it still shows my shopper is shopping. I end up having to call the store each time I pick up my order. Please fix this issue.
They updated the ap. Was forced to update it. After the forced update, mu list wasnt there anymore and I was already at the store couldn't get everything that I needed because I could remember it all.Now it takes forever to load, more often than not wont scroll after I search for an item, and when it does scroll the item I want is always toward the bottom. They got rid of the "my products" section that listed your frequently purchased items that made adding them to your list again much quicker.
I never write reviews, and I love Wegman's the store, but this has to be the absolute worst app of any store's shopper's club app. I would imagine 90% of people are like me, and just want to use this app to scan their shopper's card at checkout, but for some reason, the barcode doesn't just pop up when you open this app. I get wanting other features, but it would be so much more functional if the barcode just appeared on the front page. I just type my # in instead of using this app. Is Faster
You get no stars on this new app. The previous app was so easy to use! I don't like scrolling across to get where I need to go, and I had to have customer service show me how to get back to the screen with the coupons. I had looked at a coupon to see what was included. I hit the back arrow and it took me all the way back to the begin, not where I had left off viewing my coupons. I like your store though.
