Used to be an average app, now it is barely functional. The points program works great for losing weight, so i do recommend Weight Watchers overall. But this new version of their app took something that worked awkwardly and transformed it into something that doesn't seem to work at all. App is not intuitive at all, and with no tutorial or directions on how to use, might as well just go old school and track on paper. This review is only for their crummy app. WW is a 5 star for losing weight!

I HATE the new app! HATE IT! I want to be able to see the points I'm adding for meals while still being able to see the total points I've used so far for the day- on the same screen. Everything now takes more clicks than it used to, things are harder to find, just so frustrating. Please put it back. It wasn't perfect before but it was SO much better than it is now.

2/15/26 Addition: PLEASE put the daily summary back on the opening page!!! WW doesn't seem to care a bit about making this app user friendly. Each update results in less ability to customize and more clicking around to get to where I want to be. I pay a lot to be in WW so this is a tool I pay to use, but other than for tracking points, it's a fairly useless tool.

EDIT: problems persist and I've found more. The January 2026 update for the app is extremely glitchy. I end up logging out/in multiple times a day to get it to work. Change a serving size in my food log? Nope. Sent to the home page. Get to the list of fast food menus by selected "see all". Nope, back to the home page. Try to see how many points each activity I did added to my weekly total. Nope. doesn't let me see them (a big issue when tracking multiple activities via Garmin).

Ugh, this app keeps getting glitchier rather than better. The latest update wastes my time with a pointless image montage when I open it to log food, and it shuts off any audiobook or podcast I'm listening to. Previous issues with searching for and scanning items don't seem better. I still hate not having the option to use a computer. The font in the app is tiny. I may be just about done with WW.

This is much better than it was 4 years ago. My only complaint is that tracking weight can be tedious with the scroll wheel. You have to hit it just right in order for it to scroll, or you may accidentally close it and start over. I also don't like that it starts me off at 200 every single time I go to weigh in. I wish it would just start at my previous weight so I didn't have to scroll a bunch. A typed option would be nice too.

overall it's a good app. Fairly easy to track foods, though if I type "baked salmon" I get 5 brand names of baked salmon before I get just plain salmon is beyond me. I cook my own foods and it's amazing how many brands I have to scroll thru. I wish I could connect the app to my Samsung watch which tracks my activities soooo much better than Google Fit on my phone. I always have to correct the steps and 80% of the time the app can't connect to Google Fit (I think it's Google's issue)

Meh at best. Using the recipe part of the app is absolutely frustrating. It does not navigate well and there is no way to save or print a recipe to make life easier. Also... It doe not track foods that you eat on a regular basis. Sometimes it does but even that is sketchy. It is also hard to find foods that have bar codes.

They updated the app so now it is more inconvenient to use. You can't see your points at the top anymore. You can't quickly track food. The most helpful data is hard to get to. When you do go to track a meal it immediately brings up your previous meals, without the search bar. So if you're tracking something new you have to go back to get the search bar. It's just all bad. I'm not renewing when my membership expires.

The app UI isn't great and makes it difficult to find certain foods, even if you use them frequently. Customer service can also be difficult to get as it's primarily through an automated chatbot. Canceling can be difficult, with hard to find links and pages not working. I got WW again to give it another try after maintaining a massive loss for the past few years, but once I'm free from my membership, I don't think I'll be back. There are ultimately better options available.

They recently did an update that shows more "services" that you can subscribe to through WW on the front page of the app. This is space that used to be dedicated to food tracking. You can now no longer view your total points on the same page as your food log. You can't see total weight loss (only over a rolling year). The new update just makes the app harder to use and tries to sell you something. I'm already paying for the service; I don't want to pay more. I just want an app that's easy to us.

The new updated app is not very helpful. It is super difficult to get the points value which should be the easiest to find. Isn't that the whole point. For example, you're in the grocery store and you want to try a new food and get the points value. You have to scan it, add it, then go to food log, then open it to see points value then after all that you have to delete it since you didn't actually eat it. Not convenient at all. Points value should be front and center.

what kind of weight tracking app doesn't have a weight loss progress chart you can see? that's something that's so motivating to me to be able to see the weight chart go down (or up 😬). I can't remember what I weighed last week and then I track my current weight and I have no idea what the overall progress has been. it tells me congratulations you've lost 1.2 lb, but I can't see the progress over time this app is just really not intuitive in other ways. always searching for what I need

With the last update there were issues, and with this January 2026 update there are even more issues. It is not user-friendly--period! God help us if we have an issue with our phone and can't use it to track, as I currently am, because Weight Watchers has taken away the option to utilize my computer to track my meals. I agree with another reviewer about going old school and tracking once again on paper. Ugh!

The app was good until the update this week. It doesn't even show our total weight loss now. Hello! That's the main motivator. Sure, I can do the math, but I shouldn't have to. it's a weihht loss app, and it needs to show our total weight loss. I also don't care for the new look of the food log with the grayish background and purplish font. It's a bit hard to read. I could live with that if they would hurry up and fix the total weight loss info.

PLEASE STOP CHANGING THE APP!! I JUST GET GOOD AT TRACKING QUICKLY AND THEN I GOTTA LEARN THE WHOLE THING AGAIN! Very effective! I have used the Weight Watchers app for a year and the results have been impressive! I hit my goal of losing 20 pounds in a few months, and I think that the way they assign points to each food is excellent. The real saving grace of this program is the abundance of "Zero-Points foods".

New update as of 2/5 is garbage! Tracked meals are no longer on the home screen with points. When tracking meals on additional page you can't see how many points you have left for the day. The tab for tracking weight is almost impossible to find. Whoever approved this might need to have their job reevaluated. Also, when typing messages to the clinic you cannot see what you're typing. It just shows the middle of the screen.

Edited: The app needs to show a total weight loss. 1) Need an easy access chat function to get in touch with WW. 2) Need recipes to be included when searching to track food instead of having to go under your profile to find them. It's very frustrating. 3) Need more previously tracked foods to appear when clicking search instead of just the foods from the previous day. There's a thing called leftovers that come from a consecutive previous meal. Such as supper becomes lunch the next day.

The app centanly help me loose weight. I'm taking Zepbound not the GLP1 offered by WW. I have lost 50 pound in 1 year. The app updates have made it more difficult to track weight, meals and exercise. Also, I don't understand why WW changed the graphic from fruits/vegetables to fiber. It's also more difficult to go back and look at the data you inputted. If there is a tutorial , I can find it.

This might be the worst app update I've ever seen. Basic functions like tracking weight loss are completely unavailable / hidden, but additional services are front and center. You need to go through a bunch of menus just to track anything. It's clear to me that this company is increasingly more concerned with trying to extract even more money from their customers than helping them. We're already paying a subscription fee, and they're still not satisfied.
