This App is terrible... I've tried to use it on and off, for a few months now. When trying to get my "free" six piece nuggets, it keeps telling me to "Oops, you forgot something, please add...". Initially my order was a Double Combo and then after the error, I added a chicken sandwich but, still the error. I've tried multiple combinations and a la carte attempts to no avail. Unless issues with the App are fixed, I'll keep staying away from Wendy's altogether.

07/20/2025: I tried to redeem a coupon that I can only use on this particular day and no matter what I did, following the guidelines to validate this coupon, the app made it unsuccessful to complete my purchase. Now my coupon is gone because the expiration date has passed and it makes me feel like it was a bait & switch tactic. Things like this makes a customer just change their mind about eating from a place where they feel cheated. I'll probably just order from Burger King. Less complications.

I added a gift card to my Digital Account Balance, but the app didn’t apply it to my order. There was no option to use the balance during checkout, and no clear indication of how to apply it. On top of that, the live chat support doesn’t work. This defeats the purpose of both gift cards and the convenience a mobile app is supposed to offer. Update: The Digital Account Balance was less than the total balance of the order.

STOP LOCKING THE MENU TO SPECIFIC TIMES FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH. Now that that's out of the way, why doesn't it work unless it's on data, why can't it load without a perfect connection? You're almost as bad as Domino's app, which is SAYING SOMETHING. Even when the app does work, it takes like 10 minutes just to load and then another 5 to order even when you already know what you're getting. most of the time, it takes so long. I just say f it and get mcdonalds

Wendy's may be kinda mid, but they're much more consistent than anywhere else. I never have problems with mobile orders going through or the app freezing. Other fast food apps constantly have freezing issues or lose connection. Never have those issues with the Wendy's app. Any time there's a bug introduced, they fix it quickly too. They also consistently have the best rewards and coupons in the market. Genuinely worth being a repeat customer. Good app.

Improving, used to be very slow and favorites used to error out all the time. Those haven't happened in a while now. Very much wish you could review the order after paying without having to cancel. sitting in the drive through waiting now, thinking I ordered one thing, but won't be able to review until they complete the order. Also wish I could order a half-cut iced tea.

offers don't work, tells you to get an a la cart item in addition to the 4 piece nuggets, when I have a biggie bag and the nuggets in my cart. doesn't work. happens regularly. when it happens I just get food somewhere else. "as stated in the terms of the offer" yeah okay 👍👍, in the deep fine print, it's bait and switch, scummy and frustrating for the user. Wendy's app used to be the best in the fast food game but it just keeps getting worse.

Not sure if my problem is with the actual app or just their system. After downloading the app and placing an order; (no problem there). I received an email the next day saying I could select a free gift. I touched the link and there wasn't anything to select. Tried many times. Received 2 more emails with the same message, nothing. Tried contacting them multiple ways, no success. Their customer service SUCKS!

When this sorry app will even place an order (which it won't half the time), when you to the store, they are out of at least one thing, can't refund you, and the app won't let you cancel. This is a classic example of a corporation that is fine releasing something as long as it looks pretty and not caring if it works. I'm pretty much done with Wendy's at this point, not worth the hassle.

I've ordered twice from the app and both times the orders were very messed up. Last time I tried to contact them about it and after a lot of digging all I could get access to was an email. I emailed them and they responded with an automated message they'd get in touch soon. this was over a year ago. I just ordered again, with a messed up order, and once again no way to contact them. They have a chat but everytime I go in they say theyre busy.

Y'all need to format your app more like McD's. The McD's app updates their menu to display what's not available at each restaurant b4 checkout. Y'all take my money, takes at least 15 min (sometimes longer) for my "refund" just to be able to order again. For some people that may not be a big deal, but when I'm ordering my son, who's a type 1 diabetic and having an urgent low, a frosty or a regular pop. That 15 minutes can literally be the difference between him being ok or an ER trip for us.

Every single time I've tried ordering for the past month, I can't use this app because it keeps saying that it's "opening soon" ALL THE TIME.. So I have to order from the website which took my money twice yesterday.. two 15 dollars orders, and only one confirmed on the app but still no refund. I think it's time for me to just stop eating wendys at this point.

the app never works, I've tried to order a multitude of times. 1. for any kind of reward it will always say im missing an item for the said reward, so I add the item im supposed to get for free, but it still says the item needs to be "added" 2. for any deal, for example, if it says free nuggets after 5 dollar purchase it will say the same BS that the item needs to be "added" even if I've already added the item myself. there's much more to be said, but sadly there's a limit to these.

I never have an issue with the app. The only problem I had recently was I placed a order on the app but at the wrong location (different town). I tried to cancel the order right after I realized what happened but it wouldn't allow me to cancel it so I was out almost $50. I know it was my error but I really wish it allowed me to cancel the order since my location wasn't anywhere near the store I placed it. I was over a half an hour away.

Ordering breakfast at 10:28am is not ideal as the menu switches over. by the time you check out, the app tells you that breakfast is no longer being served. So you have to start your whole order over again and then it won't let you submit your order until 10:35am. I'm guessing it has to do with the switchover because the app mentioned something about an item not being allowed to be ordered. this all happened during my 30 minute lunch break. Terrible experience due to the time.

Deals used to be worthwhile but they are so greedy and stingy now, you're not saving much money by using the app which was originally the whole point? Harvest my data so I could get good deals? Now it's garbage like a single dollar off if you spend $15 or free fries like who cares. The "deals" don't even save more than the tax on the order. Disappointed every time and end up getting lunch somewhere else that gives me better value.

what is the point of this app anymore. If you are ordering to deliver you might as well use doordash or Uber as they already use doordash for the delivery already. if you are ordering to skip the line they only start cooking when you get there anyway so it doesn't save any time there. deals? ha! maybe get $3 off on an order if you are lucky. not enough to justify the app in my opinion. to be clear Wendy's food is good. the app, useless. at least it's functional.

very confusing ordering system. I wanted to use my gift card and pay for the balance with my credit card. but I had to make an account and add money to the account. now I have money left in my account and I'll have to go through this all over again. very inefficient, frustrating system. plus, I HAD to order online because my gift card wouldn't work at the restaurant.

Let me start off by saying my issue isn't with a local Wendy's restaurant but with the actual app. It is mostly alright as an application but utterly fails when it comes to the delivery section. If you choose delivery, a ton of the options are removed. You cant choose light for toppings at all or extra. You either get them or you don't. On top of this too, you're absolutely not allowed to use the reward section at all. Had a bad day at work but have points for free food? Too bad.

Updated review: In what world is making it so you can't use rewards on deliveries an update on the app at all? Who is decided that? All you really had to do was require an additional purchase to be made for delivery orders that include a reward redemption if it's genuinely a computing issue (and wow, that can mean more money for you! I thought you liked money! This seems pretty obvious!) And the change of menu for the delivery order is so pointless.
