WESH 2 News - Orlando

This app used to work. I've used it for the last couple years. Now, however, it's gone downhill. Way too many ads and less functionality. Example: harder to stream even from good wifi, very long weather radar loop. I'm also not getting the alerts for weather EVEN AFTER turning them on in the app settings. Not the worst app, but close.

It's OK. I don't use it for the weather, just for local news alerts. But I never open the app. It's no more than a stripped-down web browser for the WESH website, and almost every news article has a video which always plays an ad that can't be silenced w/o muting the whole phone. So instead I go to their site in a good web browser (Brave) that has both built-in ad blocking and autoplay for embedded videos & audio disabled, and then find the article corresponding to the alert to read it there.

free stars because I Wish it supported Google TV streamer. Works fine on my Galaxy S22 but not supported by the streamer. The other manual channel apps are supported on the streamer.

Do not like it. I keep putting in my location, Everytime I look at the radar map it shows me in Orlando. I'm about 2 hours away from Orlando. Time to remove app and find another.

Intrusive ads. Nice app, but ads galore. Can't mute the volume, or skip after a few seconds. Whatever happened to the in-app notification sound, that used to be available? Now, it's the system default. I really liked the highly identifiable WESH mnemonic.

As much as I love being up to date on weather and such, the amount of advertising when trying to navigate the app, watch anything, or even read articles is absurd. It makes it difficult to read anything without getting frustrated. Additionally, as a news source, I don't understand why you are relying so heavily on advertisment revenue. It's so out of hand I don't even want to watch the reports that interest me because of ads alone. Not to mention the ads before hurricane reporting? Really? Shame

Reinstalled another year later and it's even worse Useless. Reinstalled 6 months later, still useless

I downloaded the news app because they had a live traffic section. It will tell me the car accidents on the road but now that section is not available. :(( If they don't add back the traffic section, I'll delete the app. I have the latest update of this application.

Very disappointed. I DL this so I could check the hurricane maps when we lost power and such. I did NOT sign up to watch Gayle PB talking to 2 guys on the street forever laughing and reliving hurricanes gone by. I used to be able to see all the maps and click on the one I wanted and even zoom in. Once the wx guy comes on he never shows the cone and everything is so small you can't see it. Don't know what you did but this is no service to your viewers. WESH is the ONLY news I watch. Pls fix this

Used this app for years, was hoping the last few updates would bring tech change but NOPE. Hope you guys start to get the message, I just deleted and went to 9 Tom Terry and WOW I can actually see my location now and I don't have to watch 8 hours of radar loop patiently waiting to see what's happening NOW as the storm is rolling across the county line lol...anyway, bye😊✌

The weather notifications are on point. Best weather app I've found for minute countdowns for when rain will begin to fall. I live down south. You can set other zip codes to track. I warn my friends up north when big weather is headed their way. It's pretty cool.

When you click on a video the ad covers up 2/3 of the page. I understand the need for advertisements, but having more advertisement than content is annoying and makes the video so small it's hard to read any graphics.

It is not unusual for the weather in this app to be at least 12 or more hours out of date. As an example I went to look at the weather for this morning. The weather report is for yesterday. And that is more usual than unusual. I need current weather every day. This does not work for me

I enjoy using this app for news updates, quick and easy real time weather reports for my immediate location, or for that fact, anywhere within the state and beyond. The app is very accurate, reliable, dependable and simple to use.

Very bad. I was regularly using this app for several years to check weather radar. I spent half an hour after which it says my device ASUS 8 tablet is not compatible. Goodbye! Will not try again waste of time!

Content wise, everything is okay, but that's where is starts to go wrong. This news app opts for a largely padded layout with lots of pictures, because of this it makes browsing local news and headlines cumbersome and slow.

I like the app since I watch Wesh 2 time to time but I can't get the nowcast to cast on my TV. Only gives me a black screen. Since I don't have a live TV app no more and it won't let me cast on my TV, I'll just have to watch it on my phone now. 😮‍💨😐🙄

I love WESH. but the amount of adds is ridiculous. Plus the add volume comes out annoyingly higher than the broadcast. This also happens on the Roku app as well.
