WeWard - The Walking App

I want to love this app more. The interface isn't so bad at all. But it definitely doesn't keep track of steps accurately. A perfect example, would be that as of this writing I walked over 2 miles yesterday, and the app said that I had only done 204 steps. In the hopes that gross errors in calculations will be corrected, I'm going to keep it for a little bit longer, but if it continues to not keep track of the steps, it's really not very good as a step tracker app.

It's not really worth it imo. once you reach enough wards to cash out, it takes them 15 business days to "verify" and pay out. cashwalk pays out instantly, and there are no other prerequisites to do so or on the various amounts to cash out for. Just save the coins and cash out. done. once I get my payout I'm deleting the app. not worth the time and space.

The app loading can be really bad sometimes. There are days when the steps won't load at all, no matter what I do to change it. I've tried restarting my phone, unsyncing and resyncing with my step counting app(s), uninstalling and reinstalling WeWards and none of it makes a difference somedays. So the entire day of steps is unable to be converted. I wish the app had an ability to load & convert the steps from the previous day.

Have had this app less than a month and the reason I decided to keep it even though it seems to take forever to redeem was because it was offering gift card options. I just checked the options today and it no longer has gift card options! Is this a bait and switch tactic that once someone gets closer to being able to redeem you remove the gift card option? They also don't have a customer service option to email them. Scam app

Beware of leveling up! It doesn't mean more coins, it means more steps to reach the same coin goals. I used to need 8000 steps to get 10 coins, now at level 3 I need 8300 steps to get 10 coins. It's like the app is punishing us for walking more instead of rewarding us. You should gain coin amounts per level instead of being force to walk more for the same small coin amounts. It feels deceptive and reduces my motivation to use the app.

I really like this app, its fun for me and my husband to compete collecting the cards, & actively try to get more steps in a day. My take backs: it glitches occasionally like the map wont show cards at times or you'll click on a green card and it tells you out of range, some challenges say convert EXACTLY so many steps in 30 min, so its specific, others say to just convert so many steps, but you dont get rewarded because you went over those steps. Please be more specific or reward accordingly.

This app is total garbage. It’s not encouraging at all — it creates frustration and anxiety. It started off fun but quickly turned into a nuisance. The most annoying part is having to remember to convert the steps before going to bed so the app can calculate and save them. If you forget to click to convert, the steps don’t count, which makes the whole thing waste of time. UNINSTALLED!!

Syncing issues have improved in last couple of updates. But still do not like that we cant set our own goals. App has pre-set goals such as 1000 steps between "9pm and 11pm" or "6am and 8am." These aren't always feasible, making it feel like we are set up to fail. That kind of defeats the purpose of a goal. Having an option to select goals would be better, so we can set them to be challenging, but attainable.

It's easy to log your steps and you can collect fun cards (if you feel like it!).. but actually cashing out anything? I dunno if it's because I don't hold my phone on me all day while I'm walking around or what but it's taking *forever* to reach a point level to cash anything out. Occasionally, you can't log steps or you log them but the system acts like that didn't occur and uses a streak freeze instead. Feels useless at this point.

The app has been great and lots of fun for my daughter and I, but we've both been having problems with it for the past week or so. We haven't been receiving our points for certain challenges and such. Collecting cards doesn't attain any points anymore, nothing but the points for how much you've walked. It's really disappointing because we sometimes collect a good amount of cards, and even our daily free card for 500 steps doesn't get credited. We've lost out on hundreds of points.

I've been using for just over a week now and have found the app to be glitchy. It says you can 'convert' steps up until midnight, but after I convert once, it no longer converts my steps no matter how many times I try. The gage doesn't move and the 'steps converted' remains the same. Also doesn't sync well with FIT so my watch & Google always have way more steps than WeWard counts.

This used to be a good app but all the changes made in the last few days and especially the last month have rendered it pointless. My entire friends group used to challenge each other to reach goals and trade cards but now the points system makes no sense, goals are too hard to achieve, and the coins have become too tedious to accumulate. Now friends are letting their streaks end and most have stopped checking in anymore. It's become a hassle instead of a fun way to interact

I've used app a few years. Records steps okay. Wecards are a waste of time, only reward 90% of the time is more dumb cards. In the yrs and over 8-20 thousand steps a day every day I have received one pay pal payment of $10. Recently I finally have enough wards to get another $10's and tho the pay pal logo remains the option to transfer does not, only bank transfer is showing. Not giving my bank account info. Several attempts to get answers thru customer service email. No answers! 👎

This app was good at first. I've been using it for a few months to track my steps & miles walked. Since the latest update (end of January 2026) it hasn't been working properly. It has not been tracking my steps. Nothing different except the update. Hard to reach enough points to cash out. Now you have to be a premium member to cash out for money. When I first started with this app, it was free. I'm deleting the app!

It's OK for step counting, the payout is abysmal. I've been using the app since June (and I walk a lot with my job). and have only been able to cash out 5$ and that was after subscribing to the premium package. I've spent more on that damn package than I have made. and there are so many hoops to jump through. zero potential. nothing has been fixed in any way. paid for 3 months subscription never made anymore to cash out. truth be told I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

I would say this app was ok. When I cashed out $10 at a time it worked good. However when I saved up enough wards to cash out $25 suddenly my account was suspended and they said I had suspicious activity on my account. All I did was played some games, took some surveys, and logged my steps. Still don't have an explanation as to what the violation was and no more points or rewards. Could just be a coincidence but it only happened when I tried to cash out more than the minimum on PayPal. 🤔

The ads are cost effective, meaning I often find myself watching one in it's entirety only to get forced out by an automatic link opening for the given advertisement only to lose reward progress due to the app refreshing. Major pain!!! This being the only recurring issue. The app is amazing & payouts arrive a short time after. Definitely worth having. 💯

Not worth the time. Money doesn't add up to much and seems to slow down the longer your streak is. The fact that you have to use points/coins to buy a Repair Joker and then again to actually use them to keep a streak alive doesn't make sense. The sheer number of times that there was a "glitch" and I couldn't upload steps was really fishy. Not worth the time or effort

A total scam. It waits until you are very close to earning enough coins to redeem for cash or gift card (a long, consuming process with lots of ads), then shuts down and bans your account claiming rules were violated. No explanation is provided as to what the violation was. When contacting the help center via email, the same generic message is sent in response with no explanation for the ban. Stay away! Totally not worth it!!

App doesn't work. I opened it in the morning but it was far too laggy and slow to do anything (something many have complained about for a long time.) whatever I thought I'll try later. Walked my dog. Got thousands of steps in. Opened the app again and guess how many it calculated? Zeroooo. Even if it did work it'll take months to get the smallest rewards. Not worth it.
