Live broadcasts not really live. Opened it while watching the live news broadcast on TV. Not. even. close . Plus more ads per minute that commercials on the TV version. Immediately uninstalled it

Trash. The very first time I opened it, the home page froze up. I force-stopped it, cleared the cache, and restarted it... same result. Find a new developer for Android devices or remove the app from Google Play until you get your poop in a group, y'all. I've had to uninstall some terrible apps from my phone for issues like this, and this one is in the bottom five.

you had an update, now the app sucks, have to open it 3 or 4 times, please fix it, based on recent reviews, it seems you really don't care anymore

Love this app, top stories, in any category, if you follow a story regularly, it will keep you up to date on latest! Its FREE! I choose the permissions on my phone, t doesn't interrupt my apps. Just shows icon on top bar. I can choose to open or clear it. Give it a try, if you don't like uninstall. I tried, no problems, then reinstalled it. No ads! I run my Spyware software everyday, and this app is clean, I turned off certain settings, I didn't want, and app still works great! Thank you.

During the day...when I am working ..it is great to watch short snipits of local news and weather. I am able to stay current on news, weather, and travel around the Tampa and surrounding areas. I depend on current news for my business. News Channel Eight is my "go to" news channel and the app is an added bonus.

I have enjoyed this app for years but now a new annoying feature has been added whereby whenever an article is opened, a loud video appears on the top. The sound can't be turned down, even when the sound on my phone is turned off. I have to be real fast to tap the stop button. It's especially disturbing when in a quiet place.

Garbage, garbage, garbage app! 60% of the time I click on a notification to read a story and it locks up. Then, you go to the WFLA website to read about the story and it's not there yet. So frustrating! I use an Android phone... not sure how it works on Apple but there's a lot of people that use Androids. Also the ads are way too long and you have to watch the whole thing. It's all about money. I've always been a fan of NBC but I would advise you to use one of the other network apps.

I came to this app from Fox because the stories at Fox we're constantly being rerun, the grammar and spelling were always bad, and it was riddled with scam ads. For quite a while, News Channel 8 was doing fantastic. But as of late, the grammar and spelling are atrocious, none of their videos play, the ads are obnoxious, and instead of rewriting a story, they are now just reposting it as if its breaking news. I don't feel like they have editor's to proofread anymore. So sad.

This app is awful. It wasn't great before the last update but now it's intolerable. Clicking on the notifications either stalls or gets stuck on the ads, and all functionality is gone. Looks like there's another update, maybe that'll help. Otherwise, have to close the app multiple times to navigate through the news.

As of 11/25/23 still the App has not been working right since last update still the same 3/14/23... I hate fox but to look at the news i have to look at fox 13s app... I expect better from NBC, you keep letting us down. The NBC app from Rochester NY works with out an issue. btw I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app as well

The app completely ignores your push notification preferences. I have on only local news, no weather, and no sports since I get those elsewhere. Every day I get national news, weather, and Bucs updates. I get updates from 6 national news sources and all 6 of them don't combine to send as many articles this one app does. I have sent in many complaints but still get Leigh with the weather every morning and hear all about Jamis Winston and Tom Brady. Fix your app or fix your tags.

Hard to follow and hard to get to the stories. I wish the way older version of the app would come back to where I could just scroll down the list of news events. I now use a competitors app that is much easier to follow.

Freezes when opened. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Same behavior.

New update terrible! I use to really enjoy this app but NOT since the new update! Notification titles are cut off. When you press notification title, the app opens but no content is visible. Content is disorganized and the weather radar map is extremely limited and useless for my needs. Also, by the time notification of live video is given the press conference or event is practically over.

Constant notifications. Even after you check the settings to disable notifications. The app automatically changes itself to send you top notifications, go back in and turn off. Go back in and it's on again. .

Can not get past initial notifications setup screen, that just started coming up today to read anything. I ininstalled several times and reinstalled but still does not go past to read stuff. I won't install again. I used to love it but now I don't know what they did to it.

The app works quite well. Unfortunately, despite the seemingly likeable online personalities, they are not journalists. Journalism is on life support and the media has signed a DNR. There is plenty of virtue signaling, and lying out there, I don't need to get it from this app. Uninstalling.

Love WFLA, but the app - not so much. Latest update causes the app to freeze when accessing from a notification. Sometimes it will get as far as the advertisement and then freeze. Really buggy now.

It's ok, but clicked on it and pop-up said to continue, I had to update, so clicked update and nothing happened. Maybe I just HAD to leave a review to continue. Nope, left a review and still couldn't open. Will uninstall and install again.

This app works very well. I turned off every weather notification I could find and the options but still get constant weather updates, probably do to cross tags. Otherwise, this is an excellent app.
