WFTV Channel 9 Eyewitness News

Terrible app! Been fighting this app on & off for about a year. Only reason I've kept it this long was because WFTV is the only local news I've liked since 1999. Sometimes, it works great for months and then, one day, it will stop loading. I've waited up to five minutes. This will continue anywhere from a couple of days to, this time, it's been at least two weeks. I then have to go to the website and scroll through until I find the articles I want to read. Finally uninstalled. Bye bye!

My issue is with the app alerts and those running it. The alert message does not contain the entire headline forcing you to click on the alert to go to the app which take five to ten seconds to load the majority of time. I get you're trying to get users to go to the app but either make it load faster or just show the entire headline on the alert if you want to continue being my top choice for local news alerts.

I have been watching channel 9 news since 1976 when I moved here to Florida and this is the best news ever and the only news I watch when I want to know what's going on thumbs up 👍👍 channel 9 I love you and all of your crew keep up the amazing and excellent service and work ❤️🥰🌹

Always issues with this app. Live stream doesn't work properly or not at all, a commercial will pop in randomly during a broadcast when it is not even time for commercial, the app is extremely slow, and there are times it will not even open and crash. Maybe its time to move to a more stable platform as this one is not working.

The app sucks in the streaming content is pretty much unwatchable. You get maybe a minute or two of news and then 5 minutes of commercials. What's worse is that they'll play the exact same commercial 2, 3 and sometimes even 4 times in a row. Which is not only annoying, but an insult to my intelligence as well.

TOO MANY notifications for irrelevant stuff or repetitive stories... And NEVER does the Stream Live now "such and such" work... Click on the link to the "Live" stream that you all send notification for and then the press conferences or whatever the link is, never shows up. I click the "Watch" live button and still it's never anything but endless advertisement or previously recorded earlier news broadcasts

They got it working and it was the best TV news in Orlando. The October 2021 release, to fix some bugs, broke it again. It is unusable. Please fix it and don't touch it. It just spins when trying to read the news. My old phone (Android 6) might have been the problem. So, i bought a new phone (Android 11). The same problem exists. Somebody must be opening this site, because i can't. If zero stars was an option, this app deserves it.

Just installed to follow local news. Too many stupid ads. Some "news" direct the user to histories that could be read 3-4 paragraphs in just one page, but to read it you need a bunch of them full of ads. ALSO, IT DOESN'T WORK WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED THROUGH A VPN ("APP COULD NOT BE STARTED - PLEASE CHECK YOUR NETWORK CONNECTION AND TRY AGAIN"). GOODBYE, FWTV CHANNEL 9.

This app is terrible. Makes my eyes go nuts with all the popping up of ads constantly. Try and watch something and the screen will jump to something else. Constantly having to go back to what I'm trying to read or watch. This is very annoying. C'mon Wftv, do you really need all these apps here ?? Not here to watch adds, just the news. An occasional ad would be fine, but yours is loaded down so much with ads that the screen just constantly keeps jumping around. Irritating and deleting this app.

This was the best news app for mobile, but after the updates I get an error msg, and a black screen. Have to close and start over every few minutes. Frustrating when watching important news. Please fix this issue. this is a new issue for 2019, the app is stopping everytime I click on a story, what's going on on? this has been my go to news channel for some time, but i am getting a little frustrated with it now, please fix it!!

Terrible almost the worst app I've ever used. Doesn't matter what u try to click on to watch the app determines what u will see, most likely an advert. Pop-ups constant the ads popular where u were reading the news it's just one of the worst apps I've ever tried to use.

The recorded volume is very low. Then comes the ads that try to blow the speakers because they are way to loud. And that's besides repeating the same ads after every news clip. I personally don't want to continue turning television up and down every 2 minutes

for the past couple of weeks, this app will not open from the links. I have tried uninstalling the app, reinstalling, turning off my phone and restarting. It's still not working. I feel that someone needs to get this fixed.

I have always watched WFTV (Most All of my life so over 40 years) I am only giving this app one star because it will not stop refreshing and sliding me back to the top story! Why have an app with we'll say at least 10 stories if all I can see is the one on top!?! I'm only keeping it till the new update happens and at that point if this is not corrected then I will delete the app and say farewell to WFTV! I have really tried to stay faithful but we shall see! PLEASE FIX THE PROBLEM! EARN STARS!

Seems like a decent news app for Orlando so far. The others have only gotten worse. Everything seems to work fine, although the intial load can be a little slow. Don't see any autoplaying videos, which is a plus!

The app constantly crashes. When I get a notification about a specific news article and I click it, it takes me to the main page where I get to stare at the anchors. I wait. It still doesn't bring up the article I clicked on. Back to Wesh2 only for me.

I want news headlines, not click bait headlines. The push notifications are become more annoying than useful. If this continues then I will uninstall the app. There are multiple Orlando area news channels I can get my local news from.

Disappointed in the app. This is the only news I will watch. I had this app for years, but within the past 3 or 4 months, it gives me a lot of issues. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still isn't working. I have to Google to get information.

Why is it, that with every launch of the WFTV app, that just prior to the start of their load screens, a "Channel 2" (not our local WESH station) image loads? Is the "Channel 2" displayed getting increased stats etc. By jumping on the WFTV user loads? I've uninstalled and reinstalled WFTV News and the image still loads before the WFTV app starts. Other than this issue, the app is great.

This app is terrible. Videos only load advertising and then shuts down. Other videos open a link to Facebook and won't play unless you sign in to Facebook. "Breaking news" never update and same article sits there for days.
