WGT Golf

I guess the paid players get it, but the most basic part of the game makes no sense. sometimes your shot power matches the spot marker, other times it matches the full club distance (yes even accounting for wind and slope). one shot works right and the next you inexplicably overfly the hole by 30 yards. I just want a golf game that actually works FFS

After many years of play and seemingly very very little by way of improving this game, I have to downgrade this review. The rules by which the game operates seem to vary drastically with each hole played. Wind acts differently if not at all, lack of consistency when hitting out of anything other than the fairway, greenside rough consistency is spotty at best and forget getting out of greenside bunkers without it taking a few shots. The game requires massive improvement.

overall this is a good game. However, with the way the game uses your stats it's very difficult to progress. Also, other than maybe the starter set the clubs have different distances between playing by yourself and playing in a tournament. This can be very frustrating. I have also noticed that the distance to the pin may say one thing and during the flight of the ball it changes and can be as much as 15 yrds plus or minus. this is regardless of where you hit the meter, elevation or wind.

Great golf game, and the best mobile golf game out there. Yeah, the owners are constantly inventing new ways to earn money, but it's a business. I personally have spent a total of 3 dollars in the entire three years I've been playing. You can get 150 credits free per day from playing the ads. More than enough to upgrade your clubs and balls as you level up as long as you're patient and persistent. I do wish they would answer my request to restore my daily XP streak.

no consistency. and if there is a sand trap plan on landing in it. and if you purchase golf balls you loose em really fast. I lost 20 dollars in 10 mins playing ctth every shot ended up out of bounds. yet I still play. been playing for about 2 years. I hate this game. I'm deleting it. Just spent 20 dollars on balls and gone in 5 mins. on shots I make all the time. I'm done. it's actually goes out of its way to rip you off if you spend money. save yourself the hassle. DO NOT PLAY THÌS GAME..

Too expensive to play and be competitive. Then you pay money to get the good clubs and balls, and the "algorithm" they use to match you against other players is just completely ridiculous! I'm constantly being paired against other players that are anywhere from 30 to 60 levels higher than me! Absolute joke. I've sent several emails to them in regards to this, and they could care less. I've spent money hand-over-fist buying coins just to play, let alone buying the good equipment.

This is a pay-to-win game, you can't win unless you upgrade and you can't upgrade without paying. The game is also very inconsistent and aggravating. The way you "strike" the ball in similar situations can result in very different outcomes. The strike meter jumps all over the place sometimes, again very inconsistent. In head-to-head matches the winners are pre-determined by the game, doesn't matter how well you hit your marks, the game decides who wins and loses so from that perspective it just blows. Don't waste any money on this game, it'll only lead you to further and further frustration.

As close to real golf as it gets! I was looking for a game where I can simply ply a round on my own. This game offers that. It also offers many multi player options. Graphics are awesome. The gameplay is very realistic. It is as close and nearly as frustrating as being on a real golf course. (But free!) Very few ads, unless you wish to get some extra something. No pressure, just fun. Brings me back to the days of "Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf" The downside....getting credits can take forever.

Love the game. Game play is great. 5 stars for that, but to be able to play the game you have to spend real money and not just a little bit. You have to continuously buy things. I would make purchases but not $50+ for a set of clubs. Or, I would buy balls but $5-10 for a set of three, then after a couple rounds you have to buy again. WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR A MOBILE GAME. It is cheaper to go to the store and buy the real stuff. Three stars from me. Fix the prices and I will change my review!

I installed this game because supposedly there's a single player mode. Seemed nice. But, you're essentially forced to make certain choices for a while and so far, they all include playing an opponent. I don't mind tutorial rounds and so on. But, when I can't even access the game settings, until I've "advanced" a certain amount or whatever? Well, that's just asinine.

Love playing the game until recently. I ran into an issue where I cannot edit my equipment/balls. When I go to equip, I get an error message: cannot equip. I have deleted the app and reinstalled. I have closed out and logged back in. Lastly, I have submitted a request to the help center. I get a response saying "the clubs I have rented 2 days ago are no longer available." This I am aware of, and it has nothing to do with the issue I'm having. Reached out to support 4xs afterwards. No response.

Most expensive app I have found, and it's FREE!!! Well pay as you play. And if you choose not to pay, the ingame ways to acquire credits gets turned off. if you decide you just want to play golf, after a few rounds the algorithm changes and all you can score is a bogey. (yes 18 in a row). It would have been nice (and honest) if Topgolf would have just come out and said this game is $25.00 and been done with it. I guess they won't be getting my $ here or at their range.

Definitely the most realistic golf game I have ever played. Also expensive just like real golf, lol. You need to spend money to upgrade your clubs and be competitive, there's really no other way to earn enough credits (while you're young) to upgrade, so be prepared to break out the debit card. Only real issues I have experienced are load times (literally waited 10 minutes several times, and no, its not my internet), and the match ups need to be more competitive. 50 plus lvl difference isnt cool.

This game can be fun, but the advancement scale is WAY off in relation to how expensive the upgrades are. As a casual player, I wouldn't even mind keeping me at a lower level so I can actually reach the par 4s (you read that right) in two! But when you advance to the next level, you get bumped back a tee and eventually the game just becomes silly. I refuse to spend real money buying fake clubs, especially at that price. Uninstalling today and heading to the real life golf course. :-)

Overall it's a great game. Gameplay is not very consistent though. This is by far the most realistic golf app available. But after years of playing it seems to be just an app that wants our money. After making more putts than missing I can't make a putt. After winning more matches than losing I now lose way more than winning. Customer service is terrible. They give generic answers which don't address the issue.

Great graphics. However the wind, lie and elevation info are not even close to being accurate. Could be much better. There's virtually no way to upgrade equipment without paying $. After you do that, WGT makes it incredibly hard to do well. Apparently they think it's fun to play in 30 mph winds and have 3-5 ft of break in each putt. I suggest not paying for upgrades, that way you're not invested when you decide to uninstall!! Would give it a negative 5 rating if I could.

Terrible. Installed and started playing. Seemed good. Then came the mandatory apparel shirt change. Game forces you into the pro shop where you can't change the shirt because the select button isn't visible. Can't back out and can't restart game without it taking you back to the pro shop. I've been stuck in the pro shop for over two weeks. Going to have to delete and recommend another golf game.

When you first start playing this game is very addictive and loads of fun. The graphics are great and you have many real world courses to play on. But as you continue to play and progress it becomes clear how flawed this game truly is. To start there is no consistency in reading the greens in order to make puts. You cannot become a great putter in this game. Next selecting the right club is a guessing game. Even though you have the right club for the distance and wind speed you ball will land way short or sail over the green. And lastly the load times is horrible. They also throttle the connection speed when your sponors are activated and you are eligible for the free apparel and rewards. Shame on them for doing this. The main thing is there is no other golf simulation out there so what kind you do.

As a golfer, I absolutely loved this game when I found it on the play store. Unfortunately I've noticed after the last couple of updates, there is some flaws. When I hit left the ball goes right. Everytime I putt, no matter how perfect the line up is, when the ball gets to the edge of the cup, it vears right or left. Also noticed when you line up a good chip in on the power bar, the ball either drops short or over shoots the cup. Just to name a few. This game is fun. Dynamics need attention.

At first, the game was ok. Now having to watch ads before each round is ridiculous. Also the matchmaking is horrible. It is not uncommon to play the majority of your rounds against someone 70 or 80 ranks higher than you. Lastly, it is very much a pay to win model where you are stuck with basic, low stat clubs unless you pay a bunch of money to upgrade. I uninstalled it after a couple of weeks of trying it.
