I don't want to be redirected to my Amazon app. I want the experience to be separate. I am already mad at the Amazon app and how it handles whole foods. I more often than not end up buying it at a different store altogether because the Amazon app for WF sucks. It messes up my addresses, and makes it hard for me to have things shipped when I want them to be shipped (rather than delivered from the local store).

Worse app. Been trying to use for years. Tried again today for product info. Bad as ever. Only thing that ever seems to work well enough is the barcode and home page for sales. Don't select a product because it'll want you to "select a store" and then never process the selection. Have to use the website to get anywhere product search-wise.

The only useful part of the app was the shopping list, and you messed with it. Previously, when an item was added to the list it was separated into standard grocery store aisles. This made it easy to shop ANY store from your shopping list. Didn't matter if I was at the Farmers Market or Walmart, I could use *your* app The newest update (Nov 2025) removed these helpful categories. Now it's just a basic chronological list that you have to re-read constantly to make sure you don't miss an item.

Horribly Flawed & Useless - It's impossible to use for any kind of shopping. Even just browsing is difficult. When viewing the sales & deals page, there's a large number of items missing links to add them to either your cart or save them to a list. Then I tried to bypass the sales page, and search for products instead, but the app lacks search capabilities. Instead, you have to browse until you can find the sale item and then you can finally add it to your shopping cart or list.

Sucks beyond belief. No way to fill a cart in regular app. No way to make a simple note for delivery or pickup orders even thru Amazon Fresh or whatever, even as simple as "please cut my 2 lbs of salmon filet into 4-5 oz servings" like you would at the counter. You call the store, they say they can't do it, no "requests", removed the feature long ago. Giant gives OUTSTANDING customer service, start to finish. I really only go to Whole Foods for fresh fish and pico. What a pain in the rear end.

When I first downloaded the app, I would've given it a 4.5, but I've had to downgrade over time. The biggest reason is that they've removed the price from most items (recent update), excluding sales. I liked being able to plan my shopping trip and knowing how much I would pay when I went to the store. It also used to be that the app was pretty accurate to what the store carried, but that's gradually become less accurate. Bring back the prices!

Doesn't work well. It doesn't show prices on the items I search. There is a glitch that changes the search, also whenever I choose to look at an item in the sales tab then try to go back to the rest of the sales items, it takes me back home and I have to start over. The best food shopping app is definitely HEB. Maybe an app update could help, and maybe it can match the ease and accessibility of the HEBs app... just a suggestion.

Wow what a useless garbage app. It's basically just a placeholder for the prime scan code and a small scroll bar for a couple but not all of the prime sale items at a location. That is it. Fix it please. 1. Have all the sale items. 2. Have a search so I can find those sale items. 3. Most of all have 'saved searches with alerts' to when something I am searching for does come on sale. 4. Create shopping lists. Do that and maybe I would be visiting WF more than once every 3 months.

Way too minimal. It needs a search function and the ability to build shopping lists. I actually work at Sprouts (I like shopping at Whole Foods for their vegan options) and their app is SO much better. Coupons are organized, you can build shopping lists, you can search for products and see current pricing/sales. Most grocery store apps are like this so it would definitely make it more convenient to shop if Whole Foods could do the same.

The app no longer shows prices? It's show prime sales on the front page and that is it. Disappeara when you click on the item and no any other item you can see a price.... So you can only check if they have the item. And also can't filter beyond the main category of frozen, seafood, produce etc so you have to go through every item to find a popsicles mixed in with all the other from the category. But seriously.... No prices? Useless app. Even the cc link doesn't work at my store. Useless.

Unlike some other commenters, the app works for me. However, it wouldn't matter if it didn't. The "coupons" they offer are usually nonsense. I find myself asking, "who the hell buys that?" Additionally, the app only offers 5 coupons or so a week, and some repeat. I have no comments on the recipe feature since I just use it for ideas, not to save or share.

It's ok to see sales (the APP, which is what this rating system is supposed to be for, right? Not the store or the integration of the Amazon prime code use in the store... Ijs), but that's it! It is quite disappointing to not be able to order groceries and take advantage of the free 2-hr Prime delivery. What is that even for if one can't order groceries online? That's just odd to me. Perhaps I'm having a "Duh" moment. Anyone else feel the same?

This app needs a serious overhaul. I use all kinds of store apps. And this is the worst app that I've ever seen. You can't just type in searching for an item. It's all categories and it's not finding anything I need. I looked up lemon balm tea and I like that. Was kids watermelon lemonade, bubble bath? You really need to look into Other major retail stores and get a clue on what to do and what not to do. I would have an easier time writing the list down on a piece of paper than using your app.

I really hope Amazon is working on a new app because this one is useless. you can either scan into your prime account for a discount (also available on the Amazon app), look at weekly deals (get these in the mail already), or go to a system menu that has almost no functionality. Why Amazon would think that people would use this app is beyond me.

Wanted to start shopping at Whole Foods and this app literally won't let me. I'm unable to add anything to the "list" and if I want to add something to the cart it ports you over to the Amazon app which doesn't allow you to filter foods by specialty?!?! So my entire reason for shopping Whole Foods is because I want more vegan options and I'm not allowed to filter by those options, doesn't make a ton of sense. And when you are able to filter, you cannot add to a list, much less a cart.

I want to see the entire ad in the app, not just some of the items on sale. There is no option to view a PDF of the WF ad. Otherwise it is a very basic app. You can only scan your Prime code, look at A FEW of the ad items, and (maybe) update your phone number. Although, as of right now I can't update my number, I keep getting an error, and it says something about unlinking my phone number. Oh well.

Useless - nearly. The website is much better, easier to navigate, search products, everything. BUT, if you want to get your Amazon Prime discount, you absolutely must use the app. Certainly immoral if not illegal. Recommendation: download the app, log in and link your phone number to your account, then delete the app. Now you can enter your phone number at the register for your discount - but you absolutely can't do the number linking through the website and they can't do it for you in store.

I can't give 0 stars. The feedback they gave to my review is less than helpful. The link does not have a place to report issues with the app. It only offers a phone number, when this is the low urgency issue ideal for written comms. 5/31/24: It is no longer possible to "select a store" which means you can't see prices, which means you can't compare prices while in another store, which means you might as well buy stuff there rather than at Whole Foods. 6/19/21: [Other issues deleted for space.]

I love having this app but have a regular issue when opting to view weekly sales. When selecting "load more" items at the end of the first page, the next page is so large I can only see the first column. What's the point if half of the items are hidden from view! Very frustrating. Happens like every other week or so. 4/16/25 edit to say that I un-installed and reinstalled the app and it's still happening almost every time. I can't see half of the sale items!!

With other stores' apps like King Soopers, Wal-Mart or Target, you can use the app to check product availability and location. With King Soopers app it will not only tell me where a product is located in the store, and how much it costs, but also if the product is gluten free. This app only appears to be able to tell you what's on sale. I can't find an option to search for items. I can make a shopping list, but that's not a feature I would use. Uninstalled.
