Windfinder: Wind & Weather map

Great app!! Love the alerts but wish you could control how often you get them. (Once you see the alert and remove it, if the condition persists, then you could control when the alert pops up again, once an hour, once every 2 hrs, etc.) I love the ability to see multiple weather conditions, not just the wind! Seems to be pretty accurate. Wish it updated more often, 6 hrs is a long time.

Its my second year with windfinder. 99% of the time its on target. The app Developers are doing a great job. I'm buying into it again this year. This app also works great for scuba divers, it gives us wave heights, wave intervals, per second. Plus Windforce, and Direction. Has 4 hidden pages that allow you to tweak the program even better. But I have one question, how do I change the program's time, from Standard Time, to military time?

App is not functioning properly. it used to be and that's why I subscribed in the paid version. But after facing so many problems like app updating and not displaying waves height of the same day, i had to cancel my subscription. Even now we are on Sunday March 8, 2026 and the app is not displaying the waves of this day 🤦🏼‍♀️. this app keeps having bugs and errors and there are no clear efforts from the developers to fix it!!!!!!!

The directional arrows for wind direction in "map & search" are completely wrong, 180° in the wrong direction. I've never seen that happen before. There is something completely wrong with the app. @developers.

It needs Dark mode for marine the environment badly. when the weather picks up at night it'll burn your eyes out and you'll never get back to sleep.

It's ok, the weather/wind accuracy could be improved, on a few occasions it's been wrong, also more segments should be added for more accurate alert notifications. I need WNW for where I fly and I can't set that as a notification. I'm still waiting for more increments on the notification section of the app. it's a little adjustment that would make a huge difference. please can you do this?

Best wind app I've found. It's accurate and easy to use. *Update, the app kicked me out of my paid subscription and I couldn't get back in. I reached out to customer service and for over a week we played email tag, then they finally stopped responding. Terrible customer service.

It,s a simple app with basic information. pretty accurate forecast. It's my number weather app.

I was happy to find an app for the website I often use for determining if the wind is good for scuba diving. Unfortunately, you are missing one of the most important feature your website has, clicking on a precise spot on the map to find wind speed and direction. I can't believe you can do that on the website but not the app. I guess I'll just keep using the website instead. It would also be cool if you could save a precise point on the map. Edit: picker feature shown in video is not working.

Like it, use it all the time but wish it was more accurate. With weather apps, it's likely par for the course.

Really neat UI, very easy to use and very easy to read. However, at least for southern france, the data is for most days simply wrong. It's so often wrong, I had to put this review to warn. Use other apps (at least for aouthern france), this one cannot be trusted. I've been using it for most part of the year, and it only got a few days right; no station can get it this wrong something is not right.

very pretty, really appreciate the color graded map. some buttons and features are definitely confusing if you don't know the terminology but seeing the wind is huge.

App seems accurate, and the free features make it a worthwhile download

A combination of several apps like Windy, WindyApp, Flowx and Wind Alert ... and Wunderground in my forecast arsenal of tools. All give a slightly different forecast views to compare before packing my stuff into the car

Used this app for some years. Works, but the new data policy is a deal breaker. They give an option to object for such a long list of partners that it's not really an option to go through them at all. Unless a proper 'object all' (or better even, default off) option becomes available I'm not using this service any longer. Uninstalled *In reply to the lousy response. It's not the ads that are annoying. It is your fake (as in not workable) option of opting out of data aggregation.

The only reason I still use it is show the trend for the week. The actual wind speeds are wildly inaccurate. 15mph and 50mph are vastly different in my experience

Excellent weather app except for the lack of rain forecast being given insufficient emphasis. I would like to see the rain forecast in mm or inches. Apart from that, it's a great app. It requires a refresh to see the Widget sometimes, it doesn't always pick up the fact that you have subscribed. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

went out today with expected winds of 2-8 mph. it got very windy while I was offshore. waves were rough seconds between waves were close, had to throttle back coming in, and took water in both sides of my walk-around. second time in two weeks, the forecast has been very wrong.

Great app but I can't believe they want more money, on an on going basis no less, from customers who paid for the pro version. Pro owners should be grandfathered under the Plus. It's awfully generous of them to say "your Windfinder Pro app will continue to work just like before, nothing is taken away." i.e. nothing will be added either, correct? This is great: "We are continuously expanding the feature set of Windfinder Plus" what about us who paid for the pro version. Plus is meant for professionals? I thought I paid for the professional version!! i.e. Windfinder PRO. I would have rated it 5 stars up until the plus version came out. I would start taking away stars if there are no updates to the pro version.
