WION: Breaking US & WORLD NEWS

It was as a really good app until the recent update which started asking for cookies consent for hundreds of tracking and marketing companies, with no easy option to reject all non-essential cookies. Still, I spent a lot of time manually rejecting each option and confirmed my choices (twice), but the next time I opened the app, it asked me to do it all over again. Can't spend 15 minutes doing this everytime I open the app, so uninstalling now. Its a shame, as I did like the news coverage.

The editors of some articles such as "Beyond the Great Migration, Massi Mara..." are poorly worded. Grammatical errors, incoorect use of articles- a three giraffes, choice of words- eg frequent and often in the same sentence etc. Kindly get articles edited by people who know the language. Leaves poor taste. And this is not the only one.

you tried it before, and it was horrible! changing the format to an unworkable, uncomfortable, and users-unfriendly format. it does make finding information more difficult and laborious. unfortunately, with this change, you have moved your app and Wion itself into a less desirable information platform. i should have never updated the app. DONT MESS WITH SOMETHING THAT WORKS only because some idiot thinks he can make a mark for himself in your company! the massive add overload is equally bad!

So far, so good? Quite, but not perfect. News content seem to be, at least, not so biased as the main stream media and I like it. However, in the photographic reports, when you expand the text, the photo gets in the way so if the background is very clear, it makes part of the text totally unreadable (guess something similar would happen in text is black and the photo is dark): should not be difficult to fix (separate text area from photo area and voilá)

I havent been using it long but its meeting all of my needs. I like to be kept up to date as much as I can, thats just me, but this app seems to do that. I dont like looking at other websites to find out more, I rely on doing that in one place. Their live updates show a snapshot of each part so you can scroll down to whatever part you want.I think its ok, not discovered any bugs or glithes. I am now a little annoyed, i listen to a talk back radio app, but it shut that down when i open wion

Are you sure you guys want more and more people to use this app. i personally love Wion and have been following it for years now but a 42second add before a 1.5minute news video for every video that is being played is extremely annoying. I understand the need for add a 20second add for every video is acceptable, not 42 seconds. This is driving me, A WION FOLLOWER, to another news apps. Kindly fix if u want more people to download ur apps thanks

Not good. It won't give you any option to change video format while watching live streaming, for eg. If a person is running out of data or network is not that good then you can not change video to low format like 240 or 360. Sometimes it put advertisements during live stream which is hilarious, how can you put ad in live streaming. I think it's better to watch your content on YouTube instead of on your app.

The news quality from WION is excellent. Love Palki. The app works fine for me, however I wish I could turn off the IPL, sports and entertainment sections. I unchecked them in the settings and changed the order but that didn't seem to have any effect. I still get the notifications and they still show up on the main page and the sections at the top.

The "live TV" stream hasn't been updated for a month. It's canned, not live. There is a "live" window where if you click it, it only shows the same monsoon flooding story. It used to be the live stream. It's no longer a live stream window. I tried deleting and downloading the app again, same problem. across devices. EDIT: FIXED

Great news app. Only reason I have it 4 stars is because the ads. Even though ads are barely noticable, I don't like ads. Don't think anyone does. Other than that the app and news coverage on the app is great. It's super user friendly with light or dark mode and different sizes for text. The news coverage is great with the options of sport or politics or any other sector up at the top.

Beware this App.! After downloading this app I could not exit it. No matter what I did I could not turn off the bloody thing. I was at the point that I was going to have to do a force reset to turn it off. This is never happened to me before, even when I accidentally installed malware. To use this app risks turning your cell phone into a brick. I've never given a stronger review for any product I've used. Avoid!

I have recently found WION and have been enjoying the content a lot. To my surprise, after installing this app on my tablet, I found that there is no optimization for use on tablets. In particular, I do my reading on my tablet in landscape orientation, but this app does not have support for that. Until this support is added, I can't use this app on my tablet which is very disappointing.

I set notification preference to get them only for the daily briefs. Also set the time of the day when notifications should be turned off. None of these settings are being honoured. This is getting too distracting. Do not provide notification settings if they are not to be followed. The news network is small. Not every newsworthy story gets covered. I need to anyway open other news app to find local news.

Great source of news. I wish I could give this app 5 stars, but it needs more work done to it. When using this app, it heats up my phone, freezes, closes by itself while reading articles, plays videos when I have already closed the app out & I also wish there was a way to customize it (like blocking sports). Once this app gets a face lift, I will come back and give it 5 stars. Because the news coverage is superb.

Great app. It keeps me updated. And the main thing is that it's free. You can go for it instead of other so called famous giants newspapers' applications. No biased news reporting. Anchors are very professional. You can improve your vocabulary as all the articles are well witten and presented. No doubt it is one of the best apps available till now.

Unfortunately after the last update the app is full of ads and the collection of personal data has got too far. With regret I have to uninstall it because the quality of the news reporting is high (much better compared to many other media sources). I guess I'll now have to access their website through the browser with AdBlock activated.

1 star deducted for the number of ads I see for just navigating through the app and 1 for not being able to use email to login to the ID. Also it is not giving me notification of news(notifications for this app are on).. not going to lie but the last interface was much better in my opinion ... rest is great. Keep going and thank you for the news you provide

New update is pathetic. So not user friendly. So many advertisement, on each and every article there's an advertisement. If advertisement is the main source of your revenue then there's no point in running the application, better close down the shop. Whoever your application testers are should be fired.

This app needs further work! A paused video plays on its own even when the screen is locked. This is really irritating. The fonts are not that great to read. Would be better if I could have settings to adjust the font size and chose other fonts. The content is great, I support your channel and wanna watch more of it. Hence the suggestions.

I love the app and the news this platform shares. They are organised and you can choose what news you want to see. Giving 4 stars because of the app's inability to let me sign up, no matter how much I click on the signup/login button. Nothing happens when I try to login. Please fix this issue ASAP
