The faux magazine experience is a little clunky, and there is no dark mode. For some reason there's no hyphens in the text from the app where they exist in the original articles viewed on the website. I can't figure out a reason for this outside of some final filter to hide the use of large language models, but I hope that's not the case because that would be a deal-breaker for my subscription. I see what they're shooting for in the overall design, but they're still slightly off the mark.

It's ironic that Wired, a technology magazine, can't get its digital subscription onboarding right. The mobile app's sign-up flow is broken, and the UK edition is different from the US edition. Despite paying for a yearly print and digital subscription in the US, it doesn't grant access to the Android app, which is only for the UK edition. Their outdated FAQ and convoluted sign-up process are frustrating. I spent an hour trying to fix this, only to end up back where I started.

Do not subscribe to wired. Despite being a good magazine, they seem to have some form of intentional policy in place that makes it very hard to cancel your subscription. I called and got bounced around three times. Their website puts you into an endless sign-in loop if you try to "manage your subscription", their automated phone prompts contain every option except to cancel your subscription.

Can't access my subscription. Got the WiredUK print + digital subscription and it's been a nightmare trying to get access to anything. They give no instructions in the emails and after figuring out and following the login process on the app, the issues I've supposedly paid for already still show as 2.99. Support have told me to do things I've already done, and sent me links related to completed different magazines by mistake.

Can't access my subscription - I have a print + digital subscription and my subscription has been recognised but 95% of the back issues still say 'buy' rather than allowing me to download them. All the info says I should have access to all the back issues and that's what I was expecting. I regret paying for the subscription.

The app is awful. I can't sign in, there is no handover between devices, and there is no search function. I so regret paying $70 for a subscription that I can't even read on my mobile. I also never got my print issues, as my subscription said I would. Customer service is useless. Yes, rant, I know, but I am crazy disappointed.

This app could be so much better if it were more than a PDF viewer for the wired magazine. Take the text and put it in a scrollable format with user defined text size and this app will be great! Currently you're stuck squinting to try to see the text and moving the image representing and article around a smart phone; Really bad UX. It also opens up opportunities for banner ads for your revenue if you needed more incentive.

Similar issues to all described below. I have made many, many attempts to speak to the customer service as a *paying* print and digital subscriber but to no avail. It's a real shame and a massive disappointed given the ad featured in the magazine that there's a functioning app for Android.

As literally every other review says, you cannot link your subscription to your account and the app won't let you read any content because it thinks you don't have an account. What an absolute disgrace for a company as big as Wired to take your money and then refuse you their product.

Login doesn't work. The app opens the browser, I type the email and password and it does nothing. The app stays logged off. I tried different browsers as default to see if it were some incompatibility. Samsung browser, Chrome, Firefox, nothing works.

I removed this Wired app maybe three times over the last ten years. I must be unnaturally optimistic to be back here again. The first three reviews are 1-Star so nothing has changed. How does this work for the "Wired" publication or the publisher? It must work for somebody, if only as twisted humor. So, I will also try and fail to login because the password does not work. Then I'll reset the password twice just so I can cancel my subscription for the third and maybe final time.

Doesn't work. The magazine suggests using Google News. That doesn't work either. So basically on Android wired has abandoned its subscribers. A "tech" magazine that doesn't have a usable mobile solution, oh the irony. Wired has really lost its way.

Can't login to my subscription so the app is pointless, and I cannot manage a subscription through the web portal. It's a shame as I like the magazine, but given how painful the subscription was I will not subscribe again. Deleting my account seems impossible, which seems like a GDPR fail.

Terrible attempt at a magazine app. Impossible to read as it's not interactive. Pinch to zoom and read tiny print. Can't believe I paid extra for a digital version and get this... For a tech magazine such as Wired you expect much more than this lazy piece of cr4p

I order this subscription through Tapjoy. I never received one magazine and actually forgot about it until I seen a reminder in my phone to cancel. When I called to cancel, they asked "Why?" I told them that I never received my subscription. They said "OK, We've canceled your subscription." They didn't apologize or offer to send me the subscription or reimburse me. I wasn't going to argue because I did get a deal but if you ask me, I'm not the first. If they scam 1 in 5 people, they make out!

I'm very frustrated with this app. I have a hard time getting it to load and then the handshake fails. The layout of the magazine is sort of funky. I can't read half of what's in there because it's too small. So I decided to cancel my subscription but everytime I try to connect to the link given in the Help section, the app crashes. I'm not real impressed with this app. I won't be recommending it to anyone.

Unable to log in to the Android app even though I have an existing digital subscription. It seems to be a problem that a lot of other customers have. It's frustrating and frankly a bit disappointing from a progressive publication such as Wired

Use Kindle android app. Obviously this Android app sucks and the Google News version is equally useless. But I found an excellent alternative. Use Wired in Kindle android app. Just do a google search for "wired kindle" to get started. It will give you the option of verifying your existing subscription with the email and password you used when you logged in to your wired account. P. S. : The 5star is just so that people read this and start using it on kindle.
