I've had this app for years in multiple homes I've lived in, it's awful. Every single day I have go through the process of reconnecting the lights because they just suddenly dont work. I go through all steps, ensure they're on a 2.4 connection, but every single day it does this. I wake up in the morning spending 5-10 minutes reconnecting every light, and come home late from work not able to turn on my lights because "oh you need to check your wifi". It's 2024, we can't figure out wifi connection

Complete horror show to set up. I used this app years ago and it's no better now. Been at it for over an hour now and can't get one light connected. Smart pairing never works, manual pairing will connect one light and then can't control that light as soon as you connect a second. I remember it working pretty well previously if you had the patience to set it up. Can't find the lights, can't connect to the wifi, just one issue after another.

Used for one day, created a room with two lights in it, only one worked in the schedule that was built. Needed two more lights, added them, no wait, tried adding them but the app won't let me in. Have uninstalled and re installed 3 times, only gives me an option to create a home or join a home, neither works with no other option, at a loss at this point.

Update: I deleted & readded my lights and did a firmware update which worked for about 2 days, now it's back to "this light is unavailable". Loved these lightbulbs, just wish they worked. Every time I want to turn on or change my lights I have to close and reopen the app several times, or turn off and on the lights manually, change what WiFi I'm connected to, and even then it sometimes doesn't work. Its always been a little buggy but lately it's been completely unreliable.

The app itself is easy to use. The problem is it doesn't work 90% of the time. the lights are supposedly connected but unresponsive, then they disconnect & refuse to connect again & support is minimal. "let me tell you the same 3 steps repeatedly & refuse to acknowledge that they're not working" They call it a chat but it's not like you're connected with someone who answers in a reasonable timeframe, you will wait for hours. The app doesn't even give notifications when they do answer. -10/10

Never works properly. Every single day, I have to turn off then back on all of my devices (lamps) in order for Wiz to be able to control them. And that just started happening with the new release of the app. Prior to the Wiz app new release, every so often, I had to set up all of the devices for the older version to recognize them. Just find yourself other devices and app that work with them properly.

Better than harbor freight's smart lights... Not as good as they could be. To be fair, I've used the wiz lights in 3 different house types, wood frame, steel frame and brick. The steel frame gave minor connectivity issues, the wood frame was completely fine, however the brick house made the lights useless. I tried everything to get them to work, no matter what I did, within 30 minutes, the lights would display an error message stating I needed to disconnect and try reconnecting. Disappointing.

Using this app breaks the light switch. If you turn off lights with the Wiz app, the light switch will no longer turn the lights back on, unless you flip it "on" and off 5-10 times. What happens in the case of an emergency? Darkness. Don't have emergencies, I guess. It would be awesome if even one smart bulb maker had a working app to go along with their bulbs. I guess there's no worry on the manufacturers' parts if the bulbs don't work properly after they've gotten some sucker's money.

App could be better. The scheduler sucks, I hate how when you set the schedule time, the time the light(s) come on is a clock that allows you to chose hour and minute, yet the end time you have to do math in your head and also cycle through the hours and minutes for the lights to turn off. Should have the same UI interface for the end time, which is the clock like the start time. They should also integrate with the weather apps to auto adjust on/off time by sunrise and sunset as an option.

I have several different types of smart lights, and these are the only ones that will not stay connected. They We're really easy to set up, but if they don't stay connected they're not much use. I'm glad I only got 2. These things are so frustrating I'm going to just replace them with the ones I had bought previously. Kasa makes a really good multi color smart lite. So does Vivitar.

I like the timers, I never wake up to a dark home. And my plants get an 8hr dose of grow light while I'm at work, allowing me to keep plants in more places. But, some lights go dark in the app, even if they're on (& all other lights are functioning). I've deleted/reinstalled these bulbs multiple times. Wish there was an update or refresh option for individual lights. I don't want to have to delete the app & reinstall, to maybe fix 2 lights.

TERRIBLE After 2 hours chatting with customer service, and them telling me there was an internet issue. I decided to see if there was another app option. There is for TP Link brand at least. It's called Kasa Smart. Worked on the first try. Took less than 5 minutes. Connected one light at a time, then created a group to controll lighting in one location. Works like a DREAM.

Absolute worst customer service. 3 bulbs malfunctioned after a power outage. Response times are abysmal. There is no notification when you get a response so you never know when someone has gotten back to you. They've asked for my info 3x (which I've provided) and then need to "look up" what to do next and then never get back to me. Fix your customer service!!!

Servers are down. Tried to change some settings and was told 'my log in failed to sign in again' Went to sign in and all I got was 'error in sign in', tried to fix it and only got the same. Went to the 'get help' on the app to get some clarification and all I got was Every other option. No options on how to sign in with an error. They proceeded to get me an operator only to immediately say 'sorry for to high volume of customers they couldn't assist me at this time. I'm done. One star.

Long story short these products suck. Unless you want to spend 15 minutes disabling and re-enabling your wifi and closing and re-opening the app multiple times, every single time you want to turn your lights on or off, spend the extra money and buy a better product. Also the remotes they sell for these die completely within 6 months max leaving you with the option to do as listed above or spend another $15 a piece to buy another remote that Will stop working just from normal use.

An Absolute Nightmare! After wasting 20 minutes of my life trying to set my devices up on this garbage app, I was only able to get one of the light bulbs I bought to connect. The motion detector, after many attempts, did not connect. Why did Phillips decide to create more products that do not work with their existing infrastructure? And then, why make another app, by the same app maker, that doesn't work with the other products? All of these apps could easily work together! GO WITH HUE!!!

I never thought I would hear from anyone and I was proven wrong. Contacted me and explained the fix, which had been applied already!Sterling example of how to take care of customers. Very impressive. My initial post not valid: a 403 page error and cannot get to approve the terms and conditions for the app. So, app is currently useless and the bulb is rather expensive if you can't access the products other features.

Absolute garbage. I had high hopes thinking Philips could make this work as good as Hue, but no way. Can't connect the light in automatic or manual mode. The lights just blink either blue or purple. I can connect to the lights wifi, but setup doesn't go to the next step after I'm connected. I've used many different downlights, Sylvania, Commercial Electric, Feit and none of them gave me this much trouble. So they are getting returned and I won't buy the other 29 I need.

The product is useful and allows for easy remote control of lights, but falls very short on its adaptability with respect to changing sunrise/sunset times. It would be great if we could configure lights to turn on x minutes before sunset and turn them off x minutes after sunrise. Barring this, the user must periodically adjust each schedule to the changing daylight hours.

The lights don't pair. Full stop, end of sentence. Do not buy Wiz lights if you're in the smart light market. "Smart pairing" requires your phone to luck into connecting to your 2.4GHz WiFi band, then won't work. Manual pairing is the "workaround" and hangs on connecting to the light until after about 10-15 minutes the lights just fall out of programming mode. And they expect you to do it each time for each individual light so even if it did work, I hope you didn't buy more than one light...
