4th year using the app. It's greatest features were ease of use, prompt issue resolution & payouts. That unfortunately is no longer the case. They are moving away from gig jobs, to mid/long term placement positions. There is no way to connect with actual humans in a timely manner anymore. Delays are several days now instead of 12/24 hours. Ai is inaccurate, be prepared for incorrect job descriptions, going back & forth if you have an issue. Probably not worth it if otherwise employed.
It's been very annoying and time consuming signing up for this app. It's not quick and I see why it's not that popular. Everytime u go to another app, answer the phone, check the time, or just breathe wrong it makes u start the whole hour orientation video ALL OVER AGAIN! There's no way to resume where u left off. Just prolonging my efforts. This a terrible feature. Makes me want to say forget it, move to other apps promisinge fast work, not wasting my time for quotas with my personal info.
It's an ok app & easy to use. My only problem is that they don't show me a variety of job options and there isn't an option to manually search for certain jobs, I can only select from a small list of jobs which is mostly stuff that I can't do like 20degree temperate warehouse, 45+ mile commute, overnight shifts, lift over 50 pound boxes, and $8/hr jobs. Most times it's difficult to accept a job because by the time you click it and read the description, it says "job is now no longer available".
Great app! I've been doing this for 2 weeks. The pay comes quickly, the jobs are as described and there're a few to choose from with different start times. The down sides are that they auto-complete your jobs, so its a process to get paid over the listed hours, but it can be done. Also they don't take any taxes or socal security etc... Actually, I'm not sure that's a down side, just a little extra work to do taxes when that season rolls back around. Overall, it's great to make a little extra $$
Travel 199 miles to your gig? This app says yes. While they are honest and the pay rates are mostly decent and on time, the way to find jobs in the app is terrible. They show you opportunities that are -literally- 50, 120 or 199 miles away from your location. I think they just want to show that they do have opportunities for everyone but this sounds simply irrational. Whenever they change the crazy parameters they have in the interface to show nearby jobs, I will change my rating.
There's a issue with logging in. I've reset the password twice and when logging in it says invalid. I uninstalled and re-installed the app as well but nothing🤷🏾♀️. Also I couldn't "start" or "complete" the app. I worked that day and let HR know as well as wonolo. They want documents from the store as to what times I was there but still I was marked as a no show.
The notifications always arrive late. I've had this app for almost 5months. NOT ONCE have I been able to receive a notification before a job is no longer available. I always get the message "This Job is No Longer Available"... Frustrating. My push notifications are on. Always have been. I just updated this app. Will give this app 1 more month before I delete and move on
Pick up shifts through the app only to be cancelled shortly after which then results with you being a no call no show! Purpose of the app was to get shifts easily without having to deal with the coordinators! What a joke!! Update: 1/29/19 Went to login and I get a "Oops login failed" notification telling me that my account exists already and if I keep having problems to contact the support services. Opened an account using a different email address and the same thing. This app has many bugs!!
You can arrive at the job site and the company will not let you in until they want to which makes you late to check in if you have to use the kiosk that is kept inside. I've shown up to a job 30minutes early to make sure I'm on time and they waited until we were late to let us in and the app records when we check in even one minute late. When you message the requestor on the app no one messages you back. So your profile is inaccurate to your actual work experience and being on time track record
I rated the app with one star 🌟 is because the customer service lacks a great deal of information pertaining to completed assignments, and when I've attempted to request several times via chat, but I always get the runaround. Don't waste your time and energy working for this company. Plus, they dont like to pay on time. No wonder it's not many companies contracted them as it used to be. When you pay me I will consider giving Wonolo a better review.
Ok but not available in my area. The sign up is a great easy concept. However, once signing up and completing all the steps to "see jobs" nothing was available in my area, a huge metropolitan city. I found it odd, so I submitted an IT request. I was then informed "if it's available in my area" jobs will appear. This is definitely a feature that should be built in BEFORE you have customers go through all the sign ups and steps to see jobs, otherwise it's a complete waste of time.
Some people like myself are just looking to make some extra money. For that you need to enable eligibility to have payouts via debit card. Unfortunately I found out the hard way that I was not eligible for Debit Card Payout and I got frustrated and upset after putting in my hard work. New hires beware you must complete X amount of jobs to be eligible for debit card pay out other than that is just direct deposit or you get their debit card, that's if you qualify.
I'm very disappointed! I downloaded this app with the high hopes that I can find some work to do in my free time, after I downloaded, put all my info and the other stuff it asks, I find there's NO JOBS IN NYC, not even one...I mean it would be nice to know ahead of time if it's worthy to go through all the hassle of creating an account. I even put other counties and NOTHING.
I suggest screenshots for every action made. The app has went beserk on me a few times. Wouldn't allow me to "clock in". On one occasion. The last being I was given a no show for a job I know 100% I did not accept. Don't get me wrong, outside of the app bugs it's a great temp service. Plenty of jobs. Showed up for a job, wasn't needed, but wasn't paid for showing up!
This app was a crafty idea, and comes in handy for those who are in need of a second source of income. However, in some cases, once you've accepted a job and are scheduled to work on a particular day, it randomly cancels your acceptance. Then it will repost the job all over again in just minutes after cancelling your acceptance, not allowing you to reapply for the position again. I'm not sure why it does that, but it's very inconvenient for ones who truly need the work.
There is absolutely no support except an email set up that gets you a bot response. First night, accepted a job on the app but there was no communication with the company. They didn't know I was coming so I was turned away. Have since worked for said company for a few nights and am seeing the pay structure has repeated 3-5 day waiting periods built into it. I'll wait for my pay but I need to know when, but it seems to be sometime between 3 and 20 days lol
**UPDATE 11/19/24** If it were possible, I'd give this app a negative five star review. Yesterday I had eight notifications come in about jobs. I tapped on the notification as soon as it came in and I get a job no longer available. This app is completely worthless. If I tap on one more notification as soon as it comes in and it tells me the job is no longer available. I will delete this app.
get a notification, tap on the notification immediately. immediately the app says job no longer available. turns out that the job is just not available on that screen. you can find it if you can manage to find it on the map. I can't select an area of how far I'm willing to drive for a job. zoom out too far on the map and you won't find the job you're looking for. zoom into a specific area and the job is there. this app needs some serious fixing.
I'd leave zero stars if I could but you have to give one for a review. It basically seems like a bait and switch, making it look like they have work available in your area, but they when you actually sign up, it comes up with no results found, then when you request to have your information deleted they tell you no.. That's my personal information, not yours, you do not have my permission to use it in any form or fashion. This app and/ or service seems to have a lot of complaints on BBB too.
When I tried to sign up for my 1st job I got a message that says I can't accept gigs until my background check is cleared. A few days later I get an email saying my account is permenantly restricted due to no call no show. How? I haven't worked a single shift yet & haven't received any notification about my background check. I had no clue I was even signed up for a shift. UPDATE. My account was restored. I will update again after completing a job!
