You get to around level 30ish and your forced to use coins (this is the rub) before it will let you complete a level. I originally thought I was imagining things, but upon playing Level 40, "A Form of Communication", I attempted several times to highlight the word 'YELL'. It would not take. I do not need coins to find words I find them easily. So, it doesn't like that word...... OKAY. I was eventually forced to scramble & ta-da suddenly 'YELL' is a word. There is no way to play just for fun.
Do not download. Nothing but ads that you are FORCED to watch. You will have to watch them to be able to scramble the letters to be able to complete the game you are on to get to the next game. There are ads at the bottom of the screen all the time. The extreme excess of ads and no way to turn them off ( 30 seconds EVERY AD) I have emailed asking for better game play as I DID like the game. Now, I will be deleting it. Try to find a better game and save your time and money !!!!!
The game itself is fun enough. Its a word game so it's what you would expect. I like that there are the theme words but you can find non-puzzle words for additional bonuses. That being said the ads are terrible. They try to lure you in by having few to no ads up front, but by level 20 theres a two screen ad after ever puzzle. It's maddening.
At first this was a good word game to fill in between Boggle games. I never buy coins. Then the pop-ups started and won't go away. THEN to add insult to injury, I was charged $99 for an ULTIMATE pack in error. I was probably trying to skip the pop-up and they slid in a "BUY ME NOW" scam. I contacted the site as instructed, but was unable to get them to refund my $99. I won't play this game until they process a refund, which they are now denying. Very disappointing.
Clearly the developer is not planning to change advertising parameters, and therefore doesn't mind losing players because of it. And, apparently the advertisers don't mind if game players end up uninstalling because of their ads, limitting their viewers. It's too bad - this is the best new word game I have tried in years. I don't mind some ads in order to play free, but I will NOT spend my hard-earned money to keep someone from annoying me. I won't be missed, but it is sad all the same.
Great for casual play if you have a beginner level vocabulary - a little too easy for me, but makes a great time killer while nursing my son at night. I'm not sure why everyone has been complaining about "mandatory" shuffling or spending points.... been playing for three months and never had that problem, the game shuffles the board for me automatically if there are no possible words left.... maybe I'm just lucky? Graphics are cute, controls are easy. Just wish they didn't repeat words so often.
A good challenge, relaxing and an excellent way to pass the time and take your mind off things. Unfortunately, if you download the app and get rid of it, then get it back, you have to pay for ad free AGAIN. Even though you're logged into Facebook and it remembers you, it doesn't remember that you've already paid $6 for ad free.
I enjoy it but the cost of getting hints and things is a lot compared to other games which makes it hard to keep the game going for a while. Watching videos doesn't yield enough in money to complete a round sometimes. I'd suggest less cost for help and alternative ways to earn money to continue playing for tbose of us that aren't into paying real cash to play the game.
Nothing but a money making game. It takes too many "coins" to get help with the puzzles. Then when you shuffle the words it really doesn't make it any easier to find The words needed. The pop up video ads take away from the game play. Not to mention I got trapped on an ad game site and I get out of it without deleting the tab it was on. I'll find another game just like this one without the frustrations.
Infuriating. You can't get any clues without buying points. In real time money not just play money. Supposedly there's always a word which you have to find to advance the puzzle, but more screens are just jumbled letters which don't form words. Best hint comes from scrambler mode but even that costs cash. I found it bothersome that some categories such as "compound words" are not compounds at all, like shell fish, ear muffs, or ring bearer. Last, many misspelled words. How can you work a puzzle that doesn't spell words correctly. Gave up @ level 230. Just can't waste my time playing a stupid and poorly designed game. Uninstalled ASAP.
This game forces you to watch at least 2 videos for each level, if not more, just to unscramble the letters. Levels cannot be completed as they are presented, so you have to either quit or watch the video ad. I don't like being forced to watch ad videos. I'd much rather pay for an app than be forced to watch completely useless 30 second videos. I'm uninstalling every app that force feeds me these videos and useless ads.
I feel like I need to respond to people saying you *need* to use coins to shuffle and solve puzzles. Shuffling is a hint tool to make it easier, but you never need to use it to solve a puzzle. There is always at least one word available to find, and it auto-shuffles when there isn't (or when the stack becomes too lopsided). I've solved over 350 puzzles now and I've never used a single coin.
I'm at level 7303. So I'm not a newcomer. Always wondered if I was getting credit when due and now I know 100% I am NOT . Playing those games where you have to get so many on order to use a special profile??? Twice I went to open them ,watched my hard earned time go for nothing. I am so angry 😡. If you're going to entice us to play side games, at least give credit when due. Trusted this game. NOT ANY MORE. I'm SO DISAPPOINTED and SO ANGRY. Actually close to finishing.

I LOVE THIS game!! I have downloaded this app on every single phone I have owned in the last 6-7 years, even though I have had to start over many, many times. it keeps my head and hands engaged, and helps me to keep my mind going when I get bored and have nothing else to do. I LOVE that you can earn coins by finding other words besides the ones you get from completing levels. on one phone, I actually maxed out in coins!! *note in the higher levels, the topics they use are repetitive.
In short order, you are forced to purchase or uninstall. The letter stacks are arranged in such a way as to be unsolvable; the words are there but only being able to connect letters in straight lines means you can't form the necessary words. No choice but to buy coins that allows the blocks to rearrange in a solveable fashion. I don't mind paying on occasion but not right out of the gate and every other game.
What a shame this game turned to a pay to play. Several times it would get down to a few words and I would have to use the word scramble to proceed. I even had my wife look to see if she could find words and there were none to be found. So at first I bought a couple packets for coins but once I got to level 116 I had to use the word scramble a couple times for each level. Too bad because I liked the game.
Just downloaded today and I'm already at level 29, so there's quick progression. Like most other word games, it gives you ways to shuffle and get hints for gold. Unfortunately, many of the later puzzles are unable to be solved unless you shuffle it (for 50 gold each shuffle). So if you like sitting through ads to farm enough gold (25g per ad) to get through a few levels at a time, this game is for you.
I really like the game. I found it fun and challenging as I like word games. However I purchased coins to use and right after before I had a chance to use them the game froze. So I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it thinking my coins would still be there, however they were not. It started the game over again. I am unhappy over the fact I am out 5.99 and am waiting to hear back about my refund. It would be nice if the game was linked to your google account or something and your progress is saved so that if something like this happens you start where you left off. Otherwise I love the game!
This game is ok. The drawbacks are as follows: they occasionally include weird or misspelled words. For instance in a game, "things that change" they included the word Laval, which I couldn't find in the dictionary. It seems to be a place in Canada? Is it a Canadian joke? They sometimes write desert when they mean dessert, etc. Plus, and this is far more annoying, they repeat games. Is it that hard to come up with word groupings that you need to repeat games? It's very easy to have hundreds of levels when they're all the same! There are words they like to reuse too. I guess you have to keep things at a certain vocab level, but I wish the game were more varied. Other people complain about how expensive hints are. You may have to buy hints at the beginning as you get used to the game, but people spent some time developing this for free, so come off your $5 Or whatever and buy some hints. After a while, the free hints you get from finding bonus words should be enough when you need an occasional hint. Overall, ok game.
It was great until it wasn't. I'm all for a challenge; but this will force many people to spend coins out of frustration to scramble or give hints. You pay for each one, and most of the coins you earn go to a piggy bank that you have to repeatedly buy. You can't remove ads with coins, either, and they're VERY intrusive after EVERY round. They want to keep up micro transactions, fine. But I'm leaving. Don't waste your time. I myself never had to use the hints- since the developer seems to think I did. But it did get extremely frustrating at times. It's also not ok that they ignored the rest of my review. Not cute.
