Word Wars - Word Game

I used to really enjoy this game and still do for the most part. the game itself is fun, I normally just play the robot, and the adds aren't too annoying. they're easily by passed and not too frequent but I have noticed an increase in male players utilizing the chat feature. I know there's the option to ignore it but its alarming how many older men have reached out in an effort to make small talk or possibly flirt.

Addicting game. Challenge mode gets a lot of games going. My grief is that I have had the word QIN used against me a few times some serious points. Which is fine, but I have had the chance to play QIN for good points too and it tells me that it's not a valid word. What gives? edit******* currently game is not loading. either just freezes up or automatically closes. Update???

This game was fun once upon a time. Now, when I started playing again, there was a solo word mode that somehow disappeared right after I tried playing a round of it. Another issue that I have is that sometimes, my turn will be stolen away from me. I'll check the notifications to see that my opponent has played their move, but then when I go to make mine, I can't. I still have to wait on my opponent to make a move, even though they have already had their turn. Please fix this issue.

It was a great game, past tense. Then they got greedy with ads, ads, ads, ads. Everytime you play a word, you have to watch a 30 second ad. And they also even play ads during the game!!!! It's a tiny box on your game screen and it has sound. I find this incredibly distracting and I think it cause your game to crash and not load properly. Fix this please!!!! I can't stand to play it anymore

I do like this app. And you probably will too. The reason for three stars is because of the ads. I get it. Developers need to generate revenue to keep these games free for those of us who will not purchase a subscription. If the price weren't $9.99/month or $49.99/yr I'd consider. But the ads are a bit excessive. So if you don't mind being forced to watch ads continuously and frequently for even the smallest amount of progress, this is perfect. But otherwise, it needs to change a bit.

Love this game. It's so interesting to see what others will type. Update: After playing the game for a good while I started having issues with crashes and freezes and numerous guys trying to make this a dating app. Scammers big time, saying they are in the military and overseas and asking for money or iTunes cards or stuff like that. I uninstalled it over a year ago. Scary App!!!

This game is always freezing up and I have to restart my phone over and over again, it's irritating! Also, when you go to play videos to earn free coins, half the time it says, "fetching your video please try again later" and when you do get the video to play, you're lucky if it doesn't freeze up, after the video is done playing. It's like you all don't want people to earn free coins, you want them to pay for it!

I actually enjoy playing this game, but the ads are ridiculous. After every play there is an ad popping up. Then in between putting your words on the board, it pops to an ad before you could even okay your turn. This is indeed so annoying. Please fix! Thank you! Update: The developer should have players automatic resign after several days of not playing the game. That's just my humble opinion.

One thing about this game is that it freezes up constantly. Also if you're going to offer10 coins to watch an ad then maybe there should be an ad to watch instead of come back later come back later!!! what a waste of time. So don't offer ads for coins if you're not going to give them how ridiculous! I've been playing this game today for about an hour and it's froze up about 15 times so if anybody has time to waste this is the game to play because you have to restart it every 5 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!

If only.. I would pay to get rid of the ads, they are just obnoxious, but over $5 a month sounds a little obnoxious as well. I wish there was a better option. Like paying a one time fee, I'd definitely do that (which I've done for other games I play). Other than an add every move, the game is quite fun. Please come up with a better option on getting rid of the ads. From what I can see with other players comments, you'd probably have a better outcome looking at a one time fee.

Used to be a 5 star. The game has become almost unplayable if you play the free version. The adds have become full length commercials and now they slam them in after almost every move. It's too bad the way these games free start games start ok but become progressively more unplayable. I have no problem with some adds, they have to make money to keep the game free, but the sheer number has the opposite effect on me. Now, I will never click an add or product, might even delete the entire game.

The amount of unrewarding ads is ridiculous! This whole app is just trying to take money. $0.99USD doesn't even buy enough coins for a power up (all of them suck), when you start the game you only have enough coins for one power up, and to get rid of the CONSISTENT ads you have to become a member ($60/ 1 year, $48/ 6 months, $10/ 1 month). The ads make it unplayable, so of course you want to buy the membership. Have fun playing with bots 24/7 as well!!

I enjoy the game however there are way too many ads. Ads pop up after every word played. I spend more time watching ads than playing a word. I understand ads are needed but not after every word. They are not short, 5 seconds at the minimum. I'd gladly purchase the game for a reasonable amount. To me, on a fixed income $5.00 a month is too much for one game. As much as I like playing the game ads are becoming too much. Time to search for a similar game and delete this one.

I would have given this game 5 stars, but the ads are more than annoying. They apparently don't vet them at all, and I've had bad experiences where I was charged for just clicking on one. I have since made it a policy to never, ever touch the screen while an ad is playing and like the game much better now. If they charged a reasonable one time fee, I would cheerfully pay to get rid of the damned things, but $60/year is just too much, even if it *is* less than $10/month.

the game is fun and very engaging. what I cannot stand is how many ADS there are! every three moves I make there seems to be 15 second unskippable ad! I understand needing ads to play for free, but then the option to get rid of them is paying $10 a MONTH??? I'd toss a good app $5 and then call it a day. especially since there are so many incentives to pay for other things like boosts and etc. in game. those microtransactions should be more than enough? this is ridiculous.

I got to play for a few mins, but when I have tried to open it since closing it out earlier, I wait and wait for it to load and it doesn't. I waited for a little while earlier today, came back to check 30 mins later and it STILL SAID "loading". If I am not mistaken, I ran into the same issue before the last time I played and ended up having to uninstall it and haven't tried to play again until today. Claims are m made that "issues/bugs have been fixed for a better playing experience". Bull!🙄😒

😍LOVE the game. Very addictive. 👑 Member, definitely worth not having to worry about ads. Although when I try and watch a ad for coins i don't receive them. Suggestions, match request would be easier if able to swiped to remove or accept. That would be easier than trying to click the small x. Also I don't have any social media, but I'd still like to add a profile picture and it crashes everytime I try and edit it. 🤔One last thing, how do I send gifts to friends?

Unable to play game due to bugs. Early this past week, I could not play the bonus game past round 1 as it was "fetching ads" constantly. Now I cannot even get into the app as it is "finding online players" even though I can see my current games that require me to play my turn. Edit - I had already contacted support for this issue; they never responded. I had to clear data to fix the issue. Overall, this game is buggy and support non-responsive.

Bait and switch!! The ad I saw for Word Wars showed a game where you take a word and make as many words out of it as you can. For example, let's take the word "cookies". Out of that, you can find the words cook, sock, sick, ski, etc. I absolutely love that type of word game, so I immediately downloaded Word Wars onto my phone. After I started playing, I was VERY disappointed to find out Word Wars is only just another version of Scrabble ... and a very generic version of it!! Uninstalling!!

As much as I'd like to love this game, it is literally crawling with phishers. It seems there is no screening process whatsoever. Wanted to recommend it to my students as a way to practice their English, but with scammers constantly trying to get to personal info like name, location, emails, phone numbers and favorite words/things/colors -- no way in hell.
