Wordling: Daily Word Challenge

good game, only leaving a review like this to help/attention to what's wrong. I'm on level 274 and when I try to continue I should get a regular pop up of theme and puzzle piece and level number, but instead I get a mostly blank pop up and it says "play level 9999" and when I solve and submit it, I'm stuck on the screen and can't continue or get back using the back arrow. I go up in levels (I was originally on level 270) when this happened) but it makes me close the game entirely to continue.

Update: As of 12/10/25, the Worlds option has some problems now. I can no longer play the guessing cards game for prizes, nor can I complete the last theme for Worlds. It just continously makes me solve the words without awarding anything or advancing me. Update 2: (1/12/26) The roulette wheel has disappeared, as well as the two games (Word Link and Tower). Very disappointed in these issues that have arisen. When things are there and running, the game is quite enjoyable.

Decided to try again a couple months later. Still crashes!!! So many things I like of this game, but 2 serious issues: Crashes very often, for the littlest thing, like starting or winning, or returning from the play store, or returning from a browser page. And it has way too many ads! Just sit there thinking on a tower board and it jumps to an ad (and of course it crashes too!), or start the game & there's an ad. Others have these same 2 complaints (for months). Is it ever going to improve? :-(

Love the game, love the different levels and that you can play more than one a day. Don't mind that there's an ad after every word. I understand needing ads, though I'd rather just buy the app. However, they've gone from one 20-30 second ad that you then click out of to having to click multiple times, go to the install page and back and forth. It takes more time to get out of the ads than play the game. It just keeps getting longer and longer to deal with. Not worth my time, other options.

Update: It looks like TapNation are new owners and their support email isn't valid. An update made it unplayable. I loved this game until about a week ago. Two of the games disappeared for a few days. When they came back, one was unplayable. It requires keys to unlock the squares and there is no way to get them anymore. They are no longer available on the daily spins and you can't even buy them in the shop anymore. Please fix it.

I have played this game for several years and loved it. My previous review was 5 stars. I paid to remove the ads and still get them for things like extra spins, which is fine. I have actually bought some of the stuff advertised. Recently, the game changed. Hints went from 15 stars to 1728. It wants me to keep buying stars. I really like the word link portion of the game, but I may delete it and try something less frustrating. Bring back the old one, please.

Originally, loved the game...being a word geek (retired Eng teacher), but ads take more time than the game to figure how to exit them and resume play. I understand ad value, but they've become experiences of their own, and it's virtually impossible to navigate how to avoid them. Ads consume more than 50% of time on your app. I guess I could pay the extra (I don't have - due to teaching and limited pension). I'll delete the app because I simply can't afford the frustration, which I find to be sad

I paid for this game to be ad free. Initially, I was able to play all available days for free without ads. Afterwards, the devs revoked my access to ad free play by requiring that I watch ads or use points to access prior words. Only the daily word is now ad free. I would not have paid for ad free access if I knew it would be so limited. I un-installed the application. Don't waste your time or money.

This was great but recent changes have rendered it almost unplayable. If I get it to open, it may crash during play. I really like to play all 4 levels of Wordling, but now it'll crash 1/2 the time. Or, it won't load in the first place. Or if I do complete all 4 levels it will crash before it awards points. Very frustrating for what had been a favorite game. I've tried to email the developer with an email that was suggested on another review, but have received no response yet.

I'm tired of hitting the button to get double the prize, and you got to watch a minute of ads to get said prize, but when it's over it doesn't give you double. I would hit it again, watch another minute and then it will give it. But today, I did it twice and it still didn't give it to me. it's frustrating and I've come close to deleting the game just for this reason!!!!

Not sure if this is the official Wordle or not. After downloading it shows up as Wordler..haha. But at any rate, looks and plays almost exactly the same. Love that they added more words you can do at any time, and the expansion to four and six letter words. Ironically the four letter is listed as easy but in my experience it's much harder because you are eliminating less letters each guess. The six is easier.

Purchased "no ads," and randomly the ad and banners came back. Did everything that the FAQ said to do and then contacted customer service. The email in the app bounces back. The one they recommend here goes unanswered. Additionally, they added the ability to voluntarily watch ads for rewards, but 80% of the time, the award isn't given. It takes watching the ad 2 or 3 times. Once it have the reward and took like 3000 gems away. Used to play daily, but this is ridiculous. Uninstalled!!

CHANGING MY REVIEW! This app has become nothing but really bad ads that sometimes linger until you shut the app down and restart it! More and more of the "words" are not words at all. I've played this for a couple of years now but I just uninstalled it - it's no longer enjoyable... nice games but some of the words probably don't exist, especially in wording. Sometimes you can't get out of the ads either.

I really like this kind of game, and was looking forward to playing it. However it took a long time to load, every step was very sluggish, and the app suddenly closed at times. If this app where to run smoothly on my phone and - based on what I read here - if you cut down on the ads just a little, I would very likely have continued playing after testing the app and addicted to the game.

Played for months and loved the wordlink. Recently, they removed the option to gather keys to play more levels. This janky game is not getting my money, so I've uninstalled it. Why would you alienate a loyal player? Also, FYI, if you close the window during an ad and go back on immediately, it takes you to the end of the ad.

Liked it until it updated today - UNINSTALLED. I don't always have time to play every day, and I was actually playing months behind. While I had to click through the months to get to where I last left off, it was a nice diversion. Apparently with the new update you have to unlock previous days with gems, and the spinning wheel never ever ever ever works so there's no way to get gems to unlock previous days. I would have rather paid for a full version without ads but no option was given. Bye-bye

It's... not as bad as some games. My biggest concern is that it only works on my data, not on my wifi (all my other games work on wifi). Easy to use, the ads aren't overwhelming, and visually easy on the eyes. Just be aware that occasionally you're going to get a word that is archaic, obsolete, or a proper noun. Which I don't mind if it's a continent, like Asia. But my most recent word was "playdom" which is not a word. It's a game developing company.

I have never been more upset by a game. After every turn, the entire game would reload. I still liked it, and played on. If needed hints, or incentives, I could watch the advertisement to receive my prize. I would say about 65% of the time, I would watch the ad, and would not receive my prize/incentive. just nothing would happen. But still I played on. Now, wherever I try to open/load the game, it shuts down before I can do anything. so I am drawing the line, I can't do it anymore.

WORST game ever! I have played on 2 DIFFERENT devices, 2 different account. the first time I got to level 275 the second time I got to level 272. both time the phones says I have to beat level 9999. I've beat it numerous times, it all turns green and it freezes. reload, force close, nothing works. I've sent messages to support and have heard nothing. i could complain about other things but honestly if you can only play roughly 270 levels, what's the point of even downloading it?! The game is not working correctly!! I solve all the words, and points option comes up but doesn't double the points when I select it, I get 2 spinning circles that go forever before the collect button pops up without doubling my points, and I have to take the 30 points. The Roulette Wheel is worse, I never get all 6 spins, and very rarely are they doubled. When I hit the spin button, I get 2 spinning circles and need to restart my phone multiple times to get the game to work, then spin gone.
