Words of Wonders: Crossword

Many, many long ads. The game itself is good, better than others I tried, but the ads just kill the experience... I understand they need money for development, but c'mon, there's an ad after every level! And some of these you can pass within 30 seconds. Then there's some ads that are ok, but also 30 second and what seems even longer ads. It's just crazy, the other games are not as ad heavy imo. Please reconsider the decision of sliding "show ads" to 100/100, you'll keep more customers happy.

it's okay. I played just past level 100. it is challenging on every 5th level or so and enjoyable. The ads after every puzzle are not. Some of the ads automatically take you to the play store. Sometimes you get three ads in a row. But what caused me to uninstall is that some of the game app ads offer no escape even if you wait a few minutes for the escape prompt. Some glitch out and you have to restart the app. Too many times. So go ahead and just plan to restart the app after every play.

The game itself is great. But the ads are insufferable. I understand revenue and all that. Fine. But frequently the Skip buttons don't skip the ad, they just open whatever app is being advertised (especially Snap) or the Play Store, so you have to close out of the intrusive app to get back to the game. It gets REALLY old if you want to play more than one or two rounds at a time

There are tons of word games out there... some have super extravagant backgrounds that are so colorful it takes away from the game itself. this game is actually fun n it starts off easy peasye,except for when I get stumped, it makes me feel old. I would highly recommend downloading this free game as I enjoy it, I hope U shall too! Make U feel really smart for 3 sets of words, then they add more longer words as U climb levels. W/o having to figure out how to actually to climb. 🙅‍♂️not a dad!🤣😹

fun, but more ads time than game time. you get mandatory ads after every level, just now I got 3 60 second ads in a row, while i finish every level in 30 seconds or less. while i get theu need the money, at some point i have to say it takes too much of my time, I am forced to switch to a different word game.

I have played this game for quite a while, but it has gotten annoying. Way too many 3 letter words used while totally ignoring larger word finds. Daily puzzles use way too my 3 letter words that could possibly be anywhere. It's more about luck than anything else. For example: it could be 'sit', 'set', or 'sat'. Any of the 3 could fit, but it comes down to 'luck of the draw'. Annoying.

Ads make game play impossible. I don't mind paying for a game I enjoy, and I enjoyed this game. Especially the ability to play in multiple languages. And I don't mind dealing with ads. But the ads in this game are lengthy, intrusive, and manipulative/sneaky. And sometimes you get stuck in a loop where you can't get out of the ad. I don't want to pay for a game because the ads are so aggressively intrusive. That feels like rewarding bad behavior.

Fun but way too many ads. Every puzzle takes like 20 to 40 seconds to solve on average (some more, some less). But the ads force you to watch and close multiple screens before you can get back to the game and you have to do this after every single puzzle. Plus to go ad free is $14.99. Played for a day or two but beyond tired of closing ads already. Moving along.

The game's fun enough, but there are WAY too many ads. I spent more time skipping ads than I did playing the actual game, there's one when I open the app, before I even get to play and then one after every single round. There have even been times where it played an ad, promoted me to the next level and then played ANOTHER ad. It's unfortunate, I like this type of game, but it's just not worth it due to the excessive amount of ads.

I've played 30 levels, but I'm still only getting games with words that are only 3-5 letters. You would think that as you progress in level, the words would become longer and more complex. Wrong. They stay the same, which makes it boring and unstimulating. I'm going to delete the app. The games also frequently feature the same word twice. For example, you might have the words "Cost" and "Costs" in the same game. Same word, but in plural version. This happens often. Terrible feature.

10/20/23. Don't bother with this game....try to find something better. I suspect there is a room full of developers reading these reviews and giggling, saying "Look at these idiots complaining about the ads, but still playing". At level 3227, I'm uninstalling today...the ads have gotten longer and are more intrusive than ever. The game itself is OK, but the ads take longer to watch that it does solving the puzzles.

As of Aug '25, very frustrated with new, long ads, most all touting other games. Once this change happened, I went through days of trying to get back to the game page from these ads, mostly unsuccessfully. Even uninstalled a few times, which changed nothing. Finally found the formula, which forces you to go through 3-5 pages, incl being taken to the Play Store, to get back to the game. Hate this. Enjoyed game, no more. Looking for a substitute.

While the game is fun, I refuse to give a good review for a game that lied to me for me to download it. I saw an ad that had a ton of cards and each had 4 letters. You found the word on the card and the card disappeared. At the top of the ad it said "Can you clear the board" I was all like "Dang right I can" but no I can't cause y'all apparently can't use the truth in advertising. There's nothing wrong with the game, so please just advertise the game for what it is.

Decided not to double winnings. Money awarded for puzzles progressively got smaller. At level 171, it was paying only a penny. Ads were forced at that time also. After reaching the goal of 100.00, I tried to cash out. Several conditions were added... 6 more days of log in and several more levels needed. There is no truth in advertising. There was NO forced withdrawal... there is NO withdrawal period. Another scam.... I try them out. So you don't have to. "Too much time on my hands:

Nicely crafted game, works well - and I paid to remove ads - but in the end, disappointing in its use of words. Very repetitive... sell, seller, resell, sells, sellers, resells... while plenty of other interesting words are not in the puzzle. Yes, you can earn points for those, but overall, to succeed, you must dumb down your thinking to advance on the game. I'm sick of it and am uninstalling today. Get someone who knows and enjoys English more to develop your puzzles.

update: beware! ads that automatically open a web page and start a download to your device! you then have to literally delete the download. I reached out to the developer and the response was we use a third party for ads and don't control the ads! not a good response! I play a lot of word games and this is a good one. They do a good job mixing up the words so it doesn't get repetitive. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't a battery killer. I only get about 4 hours of play on a full charge.

This game started off good. There were a few annoying things but nothing to make me stop playing. What did it for me are the length of the commercials. They started off around 20 seconds. Now they've just recently went to 45 second commercials. I'm done, everything you do causes a commercial to pop up. I've wasted so much time just waiting on commercials. It's ridiculous. Advertisers have ruined these games.

Last update, uninstalling: Spending more time watching ads than playing. Relaxing game, very easy but good to burn a few minutes. There are a lot more ads the further you go. It is good you get to try around the first 10 levels with few ads. They are high quality ads so that is good. The option to pay is 5.99 to remove the ads. Whether you think the game is worth that much is up to you. The company has the right to set their own price but be aware that the ads get very long.

The game concept is good and it was fun for a little while (I played thru level 100). There are too many words that are plurals or derivations of other words in the puzzles. For example: use, uses, user and users were all in the same puzzles...so were sue and sues. Too many puzzles have that problem. Ads are fairly frequent, but not that bad for a free game. I give it a solid "meh."

I originally left a 5 start review, mainly because the ads were very bearable and the game was very enjoyable, but then the ads got a lot longer and way more frequent :( Now I get an ad after every level and it takes like 30 seconds to be able to move on and play again. I think this might be intentional, to slowly increase the ads over time. Super disappointed, I was really enjoying the game. I get having some ads, but the amount and frequency was good before then just got intrusive and awful.
