Great. Dont have to spend a ton of real money to enjoy it. Replayability is off the charts (for me, anyway, heh). Many units to unlock and enjoy. Picking generals is interesting, since they all have many skills to choose from and have different specialties (air/infantry/etc.). Very, very good game, IMO. Ahh tho God I can play offline!!!
It's a really good game it would be better if you could add the pacific front where the US fights japan that would be cool
A vast improvement over the last version. I love playing it. It's a great game for those who love military strategy. With all the additions, it is one of the best military games out now. Thank you, JoynowStudio, for the great games. I'm editing my review as there seems to be a glitch with weekly goals tab as it keeps showing a red dot, indicating a goal was completed, but when checked, there's nothing showing completed. This is becoming very annoying as I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game
Overall, the game is not bad, but there are serious issues. The random reinforcements on both sides makes smart tactical decisions impossible on the first playthrough of a level. Some units are pointless. Gets extremely hard fairly quickly and you MUST spend money to advance. I want to give it 3 stars, but the expensive PTW aspects of the game means it only gets 2 stars from me and a quick uninstall. The game is just not good enough to justify spending my hard earned cash.
Fun game with some bugs. Been playing for a couple months now, have yet to spend any of my own money and am up to level 21 on easy, 12 on hard. With patience you do not have to PTW although you do have to give up time watching dumb ads. Do the daily tasks, watch some ads, get 45 free gems or whatever a day. Game is easy to learn but can be challenging especially on a first playthrough of a level because of random spawns, which is annoying. Lately though it has been randomly crashing on loads.
This is a 5 star game with 1 star deliberate in game mechanics. I have spent hundreds of dollars on this game (im embarrassed to admit) and still can't get past chapter 5 ON EASY. There are built in frustration roadblocks that drive you to spend, and even when you do, you're lucky if you advance a couple levels. As mentioned in other reviews, even on easy mode, the computer has a seemingly endless set of mechanics to draw from and no way of knowing when or how they will generate.
e Edited: Playing for years and invested lots of time and money. Love the graphics, options, add-ons, strategy etc. and want to continue on looking forward to new roll outs. However, recently (10-14 days) developed a glitch when trying to return to a saved game that results in having to start over. Very frustrating reducing my desire to continue playing. If it isn't fixed soon, may have seek out other alternatives.
Update: Really wanted this to be a great game. But sadly, the frustration curve is too high. When you have all the tech upgraded and still can't pass the "easy" level on a mission, it's time to quit. Devs really need to adjust the difficulty levels to make the game playable. Would be willing to invest a little cash to progress, but there seems to be no point. Gave two stars, but probably should give only one.
Even on easy mode some of the levels seem impossible. In level 4, before you can get to a city to get more Infantry, you have to destroy all the enemies. So basically you have to beat the level before you can get help. I think this game is ok and if you enjoy ripping your hair out than this is a great game for you. The sad part is, there are many ww2 games exactly like this, but this is the best one. The enemy is always overpowered and can spawn tanks whenever an wherever.
Overall a pretty fun game with a lot of mechanics that I would love to see in others of its type. The difficulty is challenging but still beatable. On the flip side I did all those missions over the course of 7 days for the really good stuka. Then the game refused to give it to me. Really felt cheated by that one and I'm still upset a month later.
Great game. Only issue is I made an in game purchase and did not get items. Tried to contact via both email and Facebook but no response, it has been 4 days. 6 days now. It has been a full week since purchase, my attempts at contact (both email and messenger) have yet to be acknowledged. If customer service is that backed up, then you have some serious issues with in game purchases. Going to keep lowering rating, until resolved. Resolved after 8 days. Great game, but slow CS, giving 4 star.
Looks can be deceiving. The actual game play is horrible. You can only produce one infantry, tank, or artillery per turn just like real life! And who doesn't love tanks that can't drive across town because the fuel is ridiculous or run out of ammo after 10 shots. Also, also enemy armor is always equal no matter what! Did you know airplanes take up spaces preventing ground units from moving there! I was sick of playing after the fourth mission as the Axis Powers.
Enjoying the game, for the most part, so far (started in Oct 2022). The biggest issue so far is the game does have some bugs. A few times, a level I was playing locked up and stopped working. The most consistent bug is viewing ads for the Daily Bonus only works part of the time. I have received a lot of errors of "Failed to get ads."
I'm on level 4 and when the second group of enemy subs appears the game freezes. I don't want to keep playing if it keeps doing this. Annoying. How is someone able to advance if the game freezes. Please fix. Overall it is an enjoyable and great game easy to find your own strategies and techniques. please fix the bugs It's a lot better now, so i gave it a 5 star rating. Thanks
Update: to be fair, once you figure out using medals to buy vehicles, and how to use generals, it gets much more interesting. However, at level 32 now, and beating levels is very, very hard. Even with a years worth of play, I still cannot earn anything better than one star on any special mission. Even using earned "elite" troops, or those I've "broken" the level 21 cap. I get making a game challenging, but the special missions seem to indicate you MUST buy to beat them.
The first couple of missions are easy and fun as the allies. 6 seems almost impossible but mission 11 really is. The enemy has around 80 units to use while the allies have 15 to start with. The emeny units are too OP and takes 2 to 3 turns to defeat. You only have 25 moves to make it through the bulk of the enemy before trying to take the final city on the last 2 turns. The developers are absolutly crazy or just morons. Dont waste your money on this game in any way.
I love the snippets of history. I also love the strategy and finally a non-alliance needed game to play. What the game does need is a detailed help file. The tutorial doesn't go far enough into detail. For instance, I have several different troop types unlocked and several troop slots available, however, I am unable to select a different troop type other than tanks and don't know why. The game is fun to play though. Very fun in fact for me.
They give an email address for customer service then if you do have an issue and email customer service you get an email that says they don't check their email and they redirect you to contact them either be a Facebook or another app. Why would they even bother. I do like the game however customer care is also very important to me so buyer beware. The Soviet Union quest has been "coming soon" since I started in August of 23. They now say it's in a different game. Joke
Great game for fans of Panzer General. Collect elite units along the way. Lots of fun. Cons: (1) Gets impossible, even on easy, without paying (upgrades too slow, too few units without elite or purchased additions) and (2) be careful with actual purchases: the statistics are "maximum level," meaning you have to upgrade them (spend even MORE) to achieve listed levels.
I really like the the game enough that I spent some money on it. I have a few issues. 1. There are 3 modes easy ,medium, hard you should be able to win every mission on easy (no easily but they should be winable). If I want to lose more often I'll switch game modes. 2. If I have a max limit on units so should the enemy (in the harder missions the enemy get reinforcements outrageously). I'm stuck on mission 12 on easy and lose to massive enemy reinforcements or to defeat by turn limit.
