While the app itself is a bit clunky, the larger issue is the push notifications that you cannot opt out of. Initially, I opted out of sports because I was only wanting notifications about news and weather but I quickly noticed that half the notifications I was still getting concerned college football. I turned off all notifications and yet I've had three push notifications in the past hour. I've also noticed battery drain, which I can only assume is due to the constant push notifications. I'm going to manually remove notification permissions from my phone's settings.

I use this app daily as it provides succinct stories so I can keep up with the news, despite my busy work schedule. My number one issue with it is the obvious lack of editing. There are typically numerous grammatical errors in the articles, and sometimes words are left out altogether, leaving the reader to fill in the blanks based on the context of the sentence. Much more attention should be given in this area.

Way too many unnecessary alerts. If they would tone down all the alerts it would good. They send the same alerts with different headings at least 2-3 times a day. Sometimes there is no new developments but they act like it is so you can open the app. I think they forget people are either working or driving and sometimes this is a huge distraction. If they could cut back on this I would say great app otherwise.

The traffic incident option is terrible. The old one was much better and easier to read.

Zero control over news notifications. I only have two counties selected but I continuously receive way too many national news updates and unrelated other news. No options to reduce the amount of notifications. I receive like 50 notifications a day with most of them being articles like corrupt pastors in other states. No choice but to delete the app altogether. Figure out a way to deliver only local news, guys.

Are you getting paid for all the clicks to Amazon. You can't even read a story, scoll the page w/o being switched to Amazon. National news has become sports, & the added benifit of more sports. Whoever is in charge of overseeing, creating content of this wsb website needs to be fired. A 2 yr old has better skills than this. This app is a piece of junk! Fix it.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still doesn't work properly. Going to delete permanently. I suggest Fox 5 app. At least it works. Articles are usually a tease of what they're going to air later on and the app hasn't worked for me in the past three days. Not an app you should depend on.

Recently they added extremely obnoxious in your face ads. I used the app before and it wasn't perfect but it told me the news. I'm uninstalling because- having it load an ad screen when you load an article which you then have to back out of to view that article is obnoxious as heck. This is why I install ad blockers on my browsers because they took things too far. Don't mind ads because I know they need the revenue since the service is free; but when the ads interfere with my experience all the time, I'm out.

I love having my local Chan. 2 Action News on my phone , BUUUTTT lately it's getting more difficult to read. I DESPISE the HUGE "live" and "breaking" news headers at the top of the screen or the ads at bottom taking up 85% of my screen.😡 Thank goodness I have a HUGE phone otherwise I would have to use a magnifying glass to see the list of articles. WSBTV PLEASE give these headers an option button in the menu at the bottom of the page. Radar & weather can be combined. Thinking of deleting app.

The app is ok. Alerts don't always bring u to notified story. Ads (sometimes multiple) before late breaking video are too much. I've stopped clicking on those. I'll get notified of this again later to a storyI can get to fast & browse quick. Traffic alerts open to a map where alot of roads are red or yellow so how do I know what's going on? Need a hover over message pointing to the area you're notifying me of.

Whatever updates that have been done has taken away the ability of allowing the screen to go to full screen for viewing. Also the watch live feature could be better. Fox 5 goes right to the news without delay and CBS 46 has you go to a play button, but goes right to the news. Both of which goes to a full screen. I own a Galaxy s10 plus and this should not be a problem.

This app is terrible. All it is good for is adds. I can never find the breaking news story that they send me a notification for. I use to like this one but recently it is not good. It seems that it will only open the same story over and over. Many times I never even locate the story that I was trying to find. Sometimes I do find but it takes a lot of work to find. if I click on your notification it should take me to the story.

Love it! Wake up with the app EVERY morning while I'm getting ready to head out. Even when I'm not heading out during these pandemic times, it's nice to keep up with my favorite news crew!😁 Full transparency, there is the occasional crash, but that's technology for ya. Not enough to make me rate this less than 5 stars.

I like channel 2 but i get alerts for news updates, click on it and i cant view the article nor is it anywhere on the app. Ive had this app for years and this has become such a problem im just going to move on. Ive waited on updates to fix it but its never fixed. On top of that who ever is writing has so many spelling and typing errors it looks very unprofessional.

Love this app. However it's been having loading issues here lately. Hopefully another quick update might help?? Other than that it's great local news and weather with other articles suggestions as well. 👍 Please guys take a look at why the loading issues. Know it's not my connection cause all my other stuff works fine.☺️

The app loads well... but it shrinks the article to such a small text size after it loads to where I don't like using it... if I rotate my phone, the watch TV option takes up 75% of the screen so you can read 2 lines at a time of the article.... adjusting the font size doesn't work. Fix this.... I have a Galaxy Note 10 +.

No matter the update it's still buggy. I like Channel 2 but this app is no good. It takes forever to open, once you finally get it open you are able to use it a couple minutes before it crashes and won't reload. This makes it very unreliable when info for traffic is needed. An app should not be this dysfunctional.

Since the latest updates, there are too many ads placed in the middle of articles, so while scrolling, you inevitably open an ad that you didn't mean to. My biggest gripe, however, is that the National News catagory is turning into the second sports category. Keep sports where sports belongs, and put news articles BACK into National News. I've had this app for several years, and these are the most annoying updates. Please keep news and sports separated.

Just wanted to read local news. I disabled all notifications but it still threw notifications into my tray. Thus this has been uninstalled for violating settings. Good Bye Gave it another try and the only thing the app could do is "the app can not be started" and just never finishes loading.

I love WSBs content but the app doesn't meet the same standards as the journalism. Please update the app so that notifications take me directly to the content I am being notified about. Also the video streaming and player needs to be improved very slow response time when tapping play and pause and, sometimes its difficult to tell if the video is loading.
