Within the last month, have been unable to read a whole article without an un-exitable pop up add (mcafee, verizon or att so far). And then when you try to find the article you were just reading, it's not there. I liked the app until this, please reevaluate your partnership with advertisers. I'll give it another week before uninstalling

The new redesign looks nice, but performance is much worse. Basic scrolling or transitioning to another page stutters very noticeably. Also, the popup ads are way too frequent and intrusive.

Notifications I've gotten three times already about food banks being very busy is not breaking news. And this was the repeated notifications about that possibly happening before snap ran out. Besides I don't need to see the news. You break it down in the preview in the very first 30 seconds of the news. If I can find them after i acknowledge and then ignore that notification, i will tap on your stories and gladly go through the advertisements at that time

I will keep updating my 1 star review until you fix this app. The only sharing options are Bluetooth and nearby, both useless. It has been well over a year since the last time I was able to touch a picture and zoom im on it. I was told a few months ago that it must be a bug and they would look into it. They obviously don't care or don't know how to fix it, maybe it's time to restaff with knowledgeable people.

News alerts don't take you to the alert. Story updates are not showing on the feed even though the headline changed. When you click out of a story it takes you back to the top of the feed. 2/17/21 edit. The app continues to malfunction. It will not open the alerts and rarely just opens so I can't even read the alerts that way. Uninstalled.

This app would be good if it didn't randomly play ads with blaring sound when opening the app. There are also misleading ads disguised as news stories. It no wonder credibility is an issue for news stations when they aren't up front with their viewers about what is actual news and what is an ad disguised as news to trick the user into clicking on the ad.

The latest revisions have ruined this app. Articles load extremely slowly. Pressing the return "button" doesn't take you back to the article chosen but to the beginning every time. I've gone elsewhere for my local news while waiting for an update that may make this app usable again. If not, uninstall is the only option.

The new format is terrible.. the stories take forever to load and when you're finished reading one and exit, the app takes you to the top of the home page instead of where I left the home page. The good..the format makes it easier to read. That is all.

will not go into landscape mode to watch on my phone... I'm a truck driver and depend on steaming my device to watch TV... been this way since the app got re designed.... even when hitting the opposing arrows in lower right corner.. doesn't do a thing.. very unhappy with this problem!

The application used to be great. Now it plays a loud obtrusive ad every time I open it. If this keeps up, it will get uninstalled. I don’t mind seeing advertisements, but blasting me with audio & video from some lame mobile game ad when I open the news app on my phone is not a good way to get me to continue using it.

pages barely load and too many ads. might want to find a new website/app guy to fix this as they have failed at their job of making something that works

too many notifications. I signed up for just Breaking News and Weather Alerts. but I'm also getting Traffic alerts. not even in my area. plus.. the Breaking News, many times, ... is not "breaking".. it's nothing important. my phone is going off several times a day with these WVLT ALERTS. Annoying.

Used to be good. Now the story takes forever to load or not at all or just closes. When you go back you have to start from the beginning. Now you cant close the ad in the begining. You have to close the app a few times to even be able to look sf stories. I unistalled

Some of your notification are annoying. Some of your stuff is not important as urgent info ( possible life influencing ). And many of your traffic and other alterts do have enough/accurate info so the user can correctly interrupt to use ( hints are not sufficient ). Your generic pictures take up unnecessary data. I will probably remove your app if the trifling attitude continues. Accurate and serious approach to news is appreciated. Thank you for reminding me to change things up with this app.

only one star now use to be great before the large and very long ad before opening.

I love channel 8 but I have not had a good experience with the news app. Very slow and the tv guide might as well not be on there. It's hard to navigate and pull up certain shows. I would appreciate it if you could fix this. It hasn't always been this way, I used it easily a month or so ago. Thanks.

This app needs a lot of work. It never loads when you click on an alert. All it shows is a Biden ad that do not want to see and it keeps showing it over and over. I think you digital marketing company needs a lot of work. Targeting wring people.

Since I updated all I get us out brain ads when I try to go to news or sports only the weather is working properly. I updated because it was stuck on the same news articles from Sept 10 since Sept 10. I liked it before that although it does load a little slow.

Often fails to appear when attempting to contact...Replies "as error "....Retry...but Re-trying never resolves issue...App may go 'void' for 12 to 24 hours...But when working and Reachable....Very I'm formative and detailed...With in Minutes of "on going" Activities and NEWS...
