WXII 12 News and Weather

Like the long Radar time loop. Daily forecasts don't match what the channel 12 weather report is showing on the tv in the morning or the evening time frames. A recent up date has messed up the location when viewing radar. I have the city I live in listed in the location box. When I select interactive radar, it centers Greensboro on the map, and the city I live in isn't even in the view!

We're in a severe weather set up today. Be watchful. I was notified already by the other app( with identical logo but first alert weather app attached) about lightning,etc close by & THEY are way out of state!! No notification from this app. How about THAT for radar!! Their radar was spot on & had no trouble locating my location with a pinpoint dot. This app doesn't off that-.-.

You have to listen to the complete ad on each article on their news so you can't quickly get an Idea what the news for the day. Furthermore, WXII has disabled the volume key during the ad so that if you are in the presence of someone else it is very disturbing that the volume is wide open rendering the WXII ad useless. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would rate it the lowest possible because it is a very irritating app!

Ads before every news story. I realize a free app needs them but if you press back to see something like if you can read the story instead of watch a video, your will have to re-watch the same ad before the story starts. I would like to see weather and news alerts separated in the settings. I don't want alerts about sport events or human interest stories. I would like more options to read the transcript of the story.

By far the best local weather app I've used. Accurate forecasts, constantly updated with weather shifts & down to earth Meteorologists.

They flash a banner on your phone that says "Tornado warning issued for Surry Co." - so you click the banner. It takes you back to the same, generic story they've been on all day with that morning's weather broadcast. But NOTHING about the content of the banner (I.E.: "Tornado warning issued for Surry Co.") Very frustrating. Wish they could fix it. Happens all the time.

To many long commercial advertisements! You can't read/watch a story without a 15 to 30 second commercial playing beforehand. So it takes 5 to10 minutes just to catch up on half a dozen news stories.

I really enjoy the WXII app. I like keeping up with the weather and checking the radar. I like being able to see the live newscast if I'm not home. I recommend it to anyone who wants to keep up to date with breaking news and current weather

I love this app !! I love the news staff. They keep you updated on the weather & breaking news. They do such a great Job. I live in Virginia and love to watch Chanel 12 news on T.V . When I'm away I watch it on my app which is basically the same.

this app is trash. when it doesnt just up and close out for no reason, you might as well just call it an ad app cause thats all you'll get. commercial after commercial.

Hard to navigate school & business closings. Sends headlines on push alerts but when check then, it's very rare you see the story.

Grew up watching wxii but there is nothing local about it anymore. Just pushes the same trash and race baiting as national news. I kept the app thinking that I would ignore the "news" and just look at the weather but there are other places to get that.

I downloaded this app for the weather feature. The weather was much better when a separate app was available. The current weather features are draggy and rarely show the radar as needed. A separate weather app is needed.

Love the app. You are able to set it to what you are interested in, and get weather that may be approaching your area,and accidents that may be close to your route home. Very useful and informative.

This would be a much higher rating except that losing the ability to cast the feed to our tv has really taken the shine off the apple, so to speak. This ability is why we chose WXII over other apps. Now there is no differentiation.

I get updates about everything that is being said during the local news hour. So if I don't have time to watch the local news, I can read about it and still be informed. And if I don't have time to read it at that moment, I don't delete the notification until I have a chance to check it out.

I believe no matter what type of emergency was happening I'd have to watch a commercial first. please no adds on breaking news or alerts. seconds count from what y'all say.

Weather forecast does not update in real time. News articles are click-bait at best, unless they are a passed on AP news story.

Depend on the local weather notifications. Seems to be the most accurate weather forecasting for my local area.

I always watch channel 12 news and especially the weather.i am disabled and can't be up without help so i watch a lot of tv.i have a hard time getting y'all to come in clear on over the air tv but usually i can pick y'all up ok
