Xbox

App is great to communicate quicker through text instead of using the slow method of typing with a controller. Was good for parties until recently. I cant join parties through the app, and when I host one and someone joins either they cant hear me, or I cant hear them. As well as when we go to play a different game while staying in the party, I will get kicked from the party and have to create a new one. Please fix this issue, as it has erased one of the only two reasons I have for keeping it.

There is no possible way to speak with a human being for customer support through Microsoft in any xbox related categories. I've had xbox live 19 years, 4 months. when I hit the 20 year mark. I'm canceling my account and moving solely to Steam. It's free and it has customer support to help work through issues that I've been reliably paying for, for 2 decades.

App still doesn't work worth a damn. Nothing loads. When I open the app it's just the Xbox logo in the middle of the screen. If it does eventually get passed that, nothing else loads. just black pages. Really annoying. 2/8/26 Not sure what's going on lately. The app use to work great, no issues. Now nothing will load, just black screens with loading icons, no matter what I click on.

I rarely use this app. I pay $19.99 every month on auto pay for an app that I have used like 5 times over the years, but that is not good enough for Microsoft. now they want to raise the price to $29.99. the greed is unreal! okay, well, now you get nothing! first, I had to cancel my nintendo subscription, and now xbox! this industry has gotten out of hand, and I have reached my limits with the money grabbing! good riddance!!

I love everything about the Xbox ecosystem. The series X is a beast, Microsoft rewards helps pay for game pass, the app runs flawlessly...just couldn't be happier with all of it. 11/14/25: I don't know what they did, but the last few updates have made this app almost useless. It takes forever to load anything, it refuses to load game pass games, nevermind remote downloading. Please fix it!!

Gamepass app "moved" here and I can't cloud stream on my phone unless in a browser. Did that, and it's not truly full-screen and the audio is terrible. Not only did they increase the price, which I didn't mind, but they took a huge step back forcing people to stream on a browser rather than an app. If I wasn't raised on videogames, I would've canceled my ultimate as soon as it became a hassle. Now I'm restricted to home gaming or bringing a laptop wherever I go.

genuinely continues to be awful. captures are almost impossible to see in their current state and can take weeks to appear if at all. the *only* redeeming quality, and the reason it is 2 stars and not one, is because you can *sometimes* use it to party chat when you're away from your actual console. but don't expect anything, including notifications, to work as they should. sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't. just a pain to use.

The latest update really made the apps "controller" function much harder to use. Before it only took two taps to open the controller, now it takes four. On top of that, when trying to use the keyboard function the entire text box gets completely blocked my phones keyboard. Before the update the text box sat right above the keyboard, but now it doesn't raise up at all making it so you can't see anything you're typing..

I never really got much out of the app but the points thing was exciting . I tried to redeem my points for a $3 gift card (to buy mortal shell which is on sale for $2.99) Apparently many people are having this same issue to the point that they are calling it a scam. Its pretty lame. Outside of the points im not sure what value the app had for consumers. Its great for Microsoft. the daily rewards (that you will never receive) keep you coming back to see stuff about game pass.

In all reality the app works about maybe 40% of the time, the rest it refuses to connect to the Xbox and honestly needs some work as its very very annoying, I can't turn on or turn off the Xbox through the app even though I have all the settings enabled, it struggles to keep up the rest of the time to keep a simple connection, even skipping ads can be extremely frustrating, FIX IT NOW!!!!

This app is next to useless. Most of the time, it won't even load. It gives an "oops! something went wrong!" error. I've uninstalled, reinstalled. Still does it. Restarted my phone. Nope. If it weren't for the once in a blue moon insurance where I could actually see my in game captures, I'd permanently delete it

subscription price hike, point system altering, should I keep going? I also have problems redeeming gift cards, as it says I need to add or update my number but it's in the system and still nothing, so basically a broken and useless app, way to go Microsoft. oh yeah, keep your 2 points per day as well. I can't imagine how much time and effort I'd have to put in for any redeemable rewards now

I grew up using Xbox, but now trying to get ahold of customer support is absolutely impossible. AI chat just cycles you in circles and is 0 help with more complicated issues and refuses to direct you to a human to help. Even tried the old phone numbers I had saved and the AI there told me to go to the website, hung up, now any time I call back for help they say "For Xbox support, go online. Good-bye," then hang up again. Very disappointed with this

Right now, I'm irritated. Please revert your naming system to 5 free usernames, only giving users one free name change and then pay for future name changes defeats the entire purpose of having the option. Before 2019, it was a hell of a lot nicer because i wouldn't have to pay for it to be changed. So making me pay $10 for a name change is insane. On another note, some of the games glitch when trying to purchase them in the store, so please fix this. it's super annoying

Pardon? I had already written a review. Welp I'll rewrite it. This app has so many issues I can't go into all of them within 500 characters so I'll highlight some. First off the app crashes almost Everytime, occasionally says I'm muted when I'm not, no longer gives me notifications, i can't join parties, it takes forever for the app to load up with high speed internet, and frankly you're better off paying the money to get an Xbox mic over this really bad app.

This app is so terrible sometimes. Since it's so overloaded with people, it keeps lagging and being slow as ever. There's nothing wrong with the device, so it's the app itself because others that I talk to, get the same annoying situations. When it starts to be a pain to me, I keep having to reload and reload by sending it away from my recent apps. Then go back to it and do what I have to do until I finish my business. PLEASE WORK ON FIXING THIS ANNOYING FRUSTRATING PROBLEM.

I guess it's ok. The layout of everything is pretty simple and self explanatory. It's easy access when it comes to viewing your friends and activity feed. Jumps right to what I want to view. However, the downfall is I have been having issues with updating my profile picture, no matter how many hours apart I try to upload it, it still shows the same message. I just want to know what I can do about this.

I like this app because my mic broke a few days ago and it helps me whenever I'm bored to talk to friends, but now we cant change our gamer pictures, and half of the time the sections "cant load". and I was having some trouble getting into a party with my friends, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, it is telling me that I have 9 minutes until its fully downloaded. xbox, fix your app.

Great app, mainly use it as a keyboard to input information to my Xbox, rather than clicking every letter. Could we possibly have the ability to force the keyboard? I noticed in some instances that the keyboard does not want to activate when I need it. For example, singing in to Netflix, and other similar situations. Please update and you will absolutely get my 5 starts. Thank you for all your updates!

The app is getting better with stability, but there are issues when going onto other people's posts and the likes, comments, and shares are nonexistant. The comments also seems to never load for me too on the app. I've tried going to the desktop site for Xbox live to read the comments and going onto the clubs it's like I'm going in an infinite loop of the same eight to ten posts over and over again. Also the desktop version doesn't allow you to have a notifications menu, allowing you to see activity going on while on a laptop or a pc/mac. Main two things bugging me right now really.
