Yeah let's just complicate things more because technology is supposed to make life easier. I mean, I sure hope nobody steals my highly classified estimates and invoices. The customer support instructions say to push the "get in touch" button which doesn't actually exist...like thier phone number. I am stuck in a loop and can't contact them. This authenticator should probably be an optional feature. Heck, some people might pay extra for that. I want to cancel my subscription at this point.
It's great! And saves me so much time as l used to do my invoicing via spreadsheets and Word docs, plus hours of time and lots of errors. It took a while to get the hang of it but l got my bookkeeper to help set me up. Now l'm up and running it's a lifesaver. And l've needed assistance from Xero on the weekend and help arrived.
Absolutely appalling. The change was unnecessary and it doesn't work half the time. It says "skip this step for 30 days" but you click this and it still makes you verify the login every time. If the core software wasn't so good I'd migrate all our clients to Quickbooks. Update: it now has a feature where you can "trust this device" and surprise surprise, that doesn't work either! I have to "trust this device" multiple times every day. Perhaps employ some competent software developers?
Works as advertised, no delay at all. Changing review, because the push notifications pretty much NEVER arrive on time. I can only ever use the alternative option (code within the app) to log on. Push request normally arrives 5-10 minutes after I've already logged on. This is the only authenticator that never sends a request on time I have to work with. Pretty poor.
Did a bunch of people sit around a table and think "how can we make this harder and so much more inconvenient to our paying users?" Seriously, why? I almost threw my phone and laptop, I needed to do something quickly and took me forever and missed a deadline!! You don't need this extra stuff!! QR codes, extra apps?? "Layers of authentication"? ... Just have a back up email or a phone number on the unlikely chance someone tries to hack and look at my bills. Its just overkill.
forced to have this so now I'm forced to have another app to log in to another app I will be closing my account, wouldn't mind if it was optional... since I can't log in even with this app I'd like an email address I can email to have my account closed I'm now moving to another service
Set up was easy the first time around, a bit tricky when I changed mobile phones though, but got there in the end. Works really well now.
Uninstalled the app/software for a short time and as was away. Came back and despite knowing my account and device I haven't received a notification on this Verify software. Trying to connect to support but there isn't a number available to call. It says that there is 24/7 support but you can't access that if you're locked out. Sent my email address to the support team and hoping for a quick response. Really frustrating....
Never send the email even you provide different email adresses. Made me waste 1 hour. This app is meant to be used for business.... I will send them my invoice. When they ask questions, they don't accept answers that are too short even if it is the right one;.... Make sure your app is working before launching it and avoid not givin access to your users (who are paying!) because it doesn' work. I forgot to say that it is written Support 24/7 but no one replied to my online requests.............I made many just to make sure they see me.
Have had nothing but delays when I want to login to Xero. Push notifications don't work (and it's not my phone, as every other notification is working). I have to log in every single day and it's wasting time to use my phone when notifications don't work. Using an alternative email doesn't allow me the 30 days without having to authenticate. Very frustrating!
Doesn't always popup to log in. Can also be troublesome to accept the request on the times that it does. There is no way to view the log in requests in the app. End up using the 6 digit code option more times than not. Once In logged in for a few minutes via an alternative I then get the notification to log in. Would prefer to use the Google Authenticator app so there is one less app on my phone. Xero need a new app developer!
Doesn't work properly, verification code is supposed to reset after a minute but it's doing it every couple of seconds so I can't verify fast enough to login. Completely locked out, whoever decided we needed a whole app for one function, while the rest of the service is used in a browser should never be allowed to work again, beyond stupid
It never works, I always have to log in to my alternative email address just to get the code to log in to my laptop
Terrible app. Even worse customer support. Saying I have a problem with my internet and sending me to device settings to change the date when the date is correct. It is meant to stop hackers from getting into the system not the people who pay lots of money to keep these jokers in work. Pathetic. The reply below is wrong too. It does keep sending me to settings and dates. I have emailed them and it's all excuses. This app may be important to you but it is a means to an end for users.
Set it up, that was fine, but the first time I tried logging in next day there was no push notification on my phone, and nowhere on the login page to enter the six digit number from the App. Help on the App suggested that I check that I had notifications allowed, and I had. So I followed the next step which was "Use a different method" and I could enter the number. Then, more than half an hour later, I got the notification. It's been fine since.
xero makes me frustrating every time I want to. login.. more authentication, more security etc, why you make it complicated, I understand your security concern but seriously everytime i want to login especially with different devices .. i honestly advised my clients to move to another accounting software after since and advise to my new clients to consider another accounting apps.
Constant complaints about the same silly feature. Advised to get the latest version because the one I had was generating the code and couldn't accept the push. Help pages worse than useless, telling you to log in on the laptop but you can't without a working app. I just want to access my account. No such luck.
The app is extremely expensive and does not offer functionality. For a sole trader the price keeps on rising, and zero value is added, there is no customer service and they ignore any requests with generic answers. Its an absolute waste of money, there are much better cheaper options out there that offer customer service
ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!! I'd give less than one star. The app gives me a number code, but no email notification to use it (though they are turned on). The app gives me no way to scan a QR code other than by using a phone and another device. This is useless when your phone is your only device. This app has had me running in circles and has done nothing but give me head aches. All to sign a document from my accountant. absolutely disgusted by its uselessness. No request for help has been replied to.
I am really annoyed, missing a day of work because of this app. After joining and paying to use xero. I am requested to use multi factor Authentication which i never requested. During the trial all was fine. Took me an hour to download the app, i tried scanning and use set up key, i get an error internet connection issues, if issue permisist Check your date and time settings. Please remove multi factor Authentication on my profile, i need to work. I can not contact your support team.
