I've had this app for a long time with very little positive movement. it turns out I have to put in effort. I'm trying very hard to use the app and reduce my phone usage, but it's very difficult. I didn't realize it was such a strong addiction. this app is helping, I think. one problem is that it seems to be a few steps behind me when I absent mindedly open my phone and start messing around, during a "no phone" or "no chrome" challenge. I'd really like to see hourly limits for apps I need to use

Achieved my goal, which was to remain on school tasks. I like that there's even a weekly rate which challenges me to maintain my goal. Also, that I get to choose which apps will count for my hours. Personally I don't count spotify (just listening to music) as a distraction, or being on apps that I use to complete homework assignments. What mattered for me is to stay away from spending too much time on YouTube, reading manga, games, or social media. I liked the quotes too, they make me reflect.

I noticed that I was spending way too much time on my phone, so I searched for an app that would track my usage time. This app does that and more! At first i just tracked my time in each app, then I would participate in the challenges it offers (8 hour IG fast, etc.), and then I found a setting to allow it to lock me out of an app once I spend a set amount of time in it. I went from using my phone for an average of 5+ hours down to 27 minutes.

I love this app!! Very in depth charts to help you see where you are wasting time. I bought the pro version. I sas someone saying that they didn't want apps that run in the background counted... If you mark apps as "productive" they aren't counted toward your daily usage. You can exclude productivity apps from being counted in the settings and it will track them separately.

I just downloaded today and it seems to be good. I really want more customizing ability on the challenged. Specifically, I'd like a mix of the diet and fasting options - I want to limit my time spent during a set number of hours, and then after those hours, I can use it whenever/for however long I want. So... Intermittent fasting for tech 🤣 put another way, I want to maybe use an app for 30 minutes during a workday and once I hit that limit it would lock.

it's a pretty good app. I downloaded it for myself since I spend too much time on my phone. I do use it to record games for YouTube so my limit is pretty high. On that note though, I think the one thing that could make this app 5 stars is if we could set our own limits and change them every day. my limit right now I think is 4 hours per day but I record pokemon go and community days are 3 hours long alone. those days I'll need the whole 4 hours, but most other days I maybe need 2 hours.

I'm not a phone addict, but someone who uses their phone a lot for work. I found myself getting caught spending time on apps when I didn't need to. Or worse, getting sucked into the vortex that is social media. I dreamed up and App that held me accountable and was a constructive reminder my phone is a tool, not a toy. Your Hour is the app, I wanted and more people need. The app is very user friendly, and ergonomic. There's just a few things that seem to not work quite as well as I think they're supposed to. Though, even that could be user error, solid Four & 1/2 stars.

I didn't really realize I had an issue until I got this a couple of months ago... but my average time was usually 4-8 hours. That's between quarter to a half of my day! That's ridiculous. This app, if used right, can be highly effective at shrinking your phone use. If you can't trust yourself to stop with certain apps, there's an "autolock option that's particularly very handy. It's straightforward in most respects, but you'll need to fine tune things ultimately to suit your needs.

This amazing app has really helped me keep track of how much time I spend on my phone. I can track individual apps, like Netflix or Chrome, or I can make categories like "Social Media" for Facebook and Instagram. I can also turn off tracking for apps that are less significant to me, like my mediation app. YourHour is definitely worth checking out!

This app is really helpful when it works, but it doesn't work consistently. I set a two hour app fast challenge to run every morning. When they run, it's great because I'm locked out of the apps that distract me. However this morning the challenge is only running for one of the 5 apps that I scheduled the challenge for. The rest show that they are scheduled, but are not in progress even though it's the scheduled time. Frustrating.

Good app. I like how I can choose what apps it will monitor. I like the pop up warnings that use real conversational language. I get two option to either go on for 2 more minutes or not get another reminder *for that day*. The problem is that after I accidentally clicked for them not to pop up again for that day, they never popped up again even after that day. Please fix this. This app is a good motivator when it works properly.

MANY things I like about this app - the ability to whitelist apps, challenges to curb usage of phone/apps for a certain amount of time, automatic app lock out after a set amount of use, & reports. One thing that I paid for but find less than great is the customized app categories. You can add your own categories but can't eliminate or rename any of the general categories already loaded (ex: Games - I don't need this category at all) & when you do add your own it still just appears under "Other"

Overall this app had been an excellent tool, until it stopped working for 10 months where I could barely get any reports to load (this was finally resolved). Also, beginning in mid April, the app seems to be randomly erasing chunks of my usage time for apps like Brave browser, so I am not getting an accurate log of how much time I spend on my phone. I used to recommend this app to people; it's mostly fixed now, but who is to say when the next bug will be or how long it will last for?

This app is okay. I've had some issues with the floating timer accidentally being selected and then having it move or close because of this. Can't find a way to lock it in one place. Also have an issue where I fell asleep while using my phone and woke up to the timer still going hours later. Can't edit that out, so now all my reports aren't accurate. It would be nice if we could edit the usage time for cases like that.

I really like this app and paid to unlock all features, but it hasn't been working properly lately, probably since the last firmware update. It crashes from time to time when I'm using other apps (with the floating timer). It's stuck on loading forever when I go to the dashboard, report, or profile tabs in the app, making it impossible to check my phone use history. Please fix these issues!

Can't lie to yourself when the numbers are right there. Timers on different apps are awesome, the ability to mark off apps so they don't count towards your total time is useful, (I use maps for work pretty frequently, that's definitely not how I'm addicted to my phone.) Great experience, took me from 3+ hours a day down to an hour.

Used one day and getting premium today! So far, this already significantly helps me to address my smartphone addiction. I'm also using book, How to Breakup with Your Phone, by Catherine Price. Both are invaluable. Well done! Three days later, I'm still finding app valuable. I'm wondering why when first logging into phone, I have 3 logins registered each morning for last three days. It doesn't make sense. Also, floating timer tends to not work at all or freeze. Thanks in advance for your help.

Absolutely love this app. My phone usage has gone down quite a bit. I love how they rate your phone addiction. It's shocking at first when they say that your dependent or addicted, and it really makes you want to stop. The floating timer on each app (that you choose) is also super helpful. The settings are super easy to customize and helpful! Recommend this app!

I have been using YourHour for school purposes, since I tend to lose hours endlessly scrolling social media this tool has been very useful in how I've been able to monitor my usage and set goals/challenges to minimize my time spent on my phone. There's a timer in the corner of your screen as a reminder that you have a limited time to use certain apps or all apps if that's your case, this app is great for any goal to minimize your cell phone usage. Love it! Thank you!:)

I have to manually turn on the floating timer every day, and some other important functions are missing as well. Idle chrome tabs show up as active phone use overnight, and there's no way to edit or delete these entries or set a window of time where screen use should be ignored. As a result, the floating phone use timer (which is my sole reason for downloading this app) is rarely accurate.
