The subscriptions are in a seemingly random order on the "Subscriptions" tab. It used to have a suggested ones at the top, followed by the rest in alphabetical order. Made it easy to find the subscribed channel. Now it is a chore trying to locate the one channel I want, or having to type it in every time. Go back to the way it was! (Or at least offer a way to choose sorting options)
Used to work great, but just like everyone else since the last few updates, videos will randomly freeze but the audio will continue. If y'all would please actually fix the issue instead of ignoring it, that would be great. (Also it's not an issue on my end, my WiFi is exentlent and has no problems with anything but this version of YouTube. It's a problem with the app and I and many other people would very much like it fixed.)
FEATURE REQUEST! It would be nice & help if you could organize our subscriptions list back in alphabetical order again instead of having them all scrambled up with no organization to them. It takes forever to scroll through them to find a certain channel you are subscribed to. You can alphabetize them in YouTube on your computer but not on your Android TV App. Makes no sense. How hard is it to write code to fix this. It use to be alphabetized but after an update it went away. Please fix.
Accessibility issue: no option to increase the font size (which is tiny). The ABC on-screen keyboard is a joke, so I started using an external keyboard. Not possible to watch and browse other videos at the same time. Not possible to play picture-in-picture and do other stuff on the TV. The PIP mode should simply close whenever another app starts playing media. What we need is the YT mobile app with QWERTY keyboard and more settings (like font size, interface theme etc.)
Too damn many ads! You MUST watch an ad before EVERY video you choose. The frustrating part is two seconds into the video you realize this isn't what you wanted to see. You go and click on another video and now you MUST watch another ad. And the cycle just keep repeating itself. You end up watching six, seven or even more ads before you get to watch what you're really looking for. And it comes preinstalled (using up your space), so you can't uninstall it. There has to be a device out there that doesn't force their unwanted apps on you, TAKING up all of your space that you could be using for apps that you actually want.
It's an excellent app and platform, but accessing YouTube lately from our Google TV streaming device has been a pain for months because it buffers/freezes at the signing in part and refuses to go any further. I never have this problem logging into the YouTube platform on my computer, or the app on my phone. I'd appreciate it if you fixed this problem in the YouTube app for TV, please, Google. Thank you. When you've rectified the problem I'll be more than happy giving you 5 stars and not 3. Please shorten the adverts and frequency of them too as they are too intrusive, ruining the viewing of far more interesting, other videos. Thanks! The comment button, settings button or any other button in the player does not work, only the pause/play button works. Clicking to other buttons behaves like the pause/play button. This issue is present for a month now. Winding the video back or forward mutes my Bluetooth speaker. Disconnecting and connecting the Bluetooth speaker is the only solution to this problem to bring sound back. This issue is present for a year now. Maybe YouTube should stop vibe coding their apps?
It's a good app, and pretty well made for a TV. But two weeks ago, you had less ads for twenty or thirty seconds if you were watching a "long video", when the video was longer than twenty minutes, which is completely reasonable. However, though, I watch videos that are less than five minutes and I dozens of ads for a whole minute or so, and I always end up watching ads more than videos themselves. It's extremely frustrating if you want to sit in the couch and watch TV after a long day after school or something and get this. Please change the goddamn ads.
unable to use subtitles, change resolution,see comments since last update. the video pauses when trying to select these options instead of opening the selected option. not sure how your QA let this update release. fix this immediately
I like this app so much! this app is good for Raheel to explore other things for him. but what about the app screenshots to see if you have any questions. YouTube kids looks a bit boring for me. when I was little, I have a YouTube kids profile too, just like Raheel. but I cannot tell for sure If YouTube Premium membership is open at 3:00 AM. everyone was using this app for A long time ago.
This app is really good. There are a lot of videos you can watch and they're all interesting. I would highly recommend YouTube because it is really good. But there is a lot of ads on the videos and they are sometimes really long and you can't skip them. But sometimes you can skip them. Also sometimes they are short. One thing I would like YouTube to do is not make ads like really really long. But otherwise this app is really really good.
The new user interface is garbage. the app is slow. there's too many ads, too much slop. too many limitations. too Much ai. the design should go back to what it was during COVID, with zero advertising and ability to block advertising.
I am using a TV box, and lately this app has been acting up. When I try to open it, it shows the YouTube logo then it goes to a grey or black screen. I tried force stopping the app, there were times that it would work, but lately it hasn't been. It's been a month and now I don't know what to do. Please do anything you can! Thank you.
Been using this app for years, this used to be an awesome app, now Its USELESS! after the recent update, 3x smart TV's in my house unable to use youtibe, its very frustrating, SCREEN JUST GRAY when you open the app, only way to get it to open is to delete all data from app settings, and then you have to go about the tiring task of signing into your account. only to have to go through it all over again next time you want to watch YouTube on your android TV. SO FRUSTRATING, please FIX the problem!
the amount of softlock glitches are insane. when I was trying to log in,it won't even work at all.

I use YouTube almost exclusively and the app is fine for Google TV. However, build 6.24.303 has been highly annoying. If the chromecast ever goes to the screen saver, and then I try to open YouTube directly, the app always crashes on the startup splash and I have to go into the settings and force stop it for it to open properly
I usually watch u tube,but lately I get buffered untill it times out. this sucks. guess I gotta go elsewhere.
I can't use YouTube, the screen is grey and nothing is showing. What's really going on huh! It's really frustrating. If it continues on like this updates after updates I'll have no choice but to cancel my Premium because it's useless for real at this point on my TV where it's really needed.
