Zello PTT Walkie Talkie

Recently the automatic volume feature doesn't work. After ten minutes of no activity, the volume of your next incoming call is supposed to go back up to the level you set, which I chose 100. It was working but now it is not. Now I can miss a call because I lowered my media volume in another app. My phone, the version of android, and Zello version are all up to date. Any ideas? 5 stars for a fix.

I love this app for a variety of reasons. 1. It works like a walkie talkie, but with completely unlimited range. 2. you can exit the app so that you don't receive messages. (this is GREAT especially if you are off the clock. ) 3. it records all of the messages. this is great when you work with the " i didn't say that" guy. you can LITERALLY hit a button and prove them wrong. (beware! if you say "i wanna bang the bosses daughter " someone else can hit a button and take your job!)

The last couple months, I've been noticing a lot of DELAYS in sending and receiving messages (the app holds the message in the queue, anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes). We use this app for a business, and all the delays are becoming problematic enough that we may stop using this app very soon. I've been expecting patch updates and improvements, but it only seems to get worse lately. Once you get in a conversation with someone there seems to be a lot less delay and it's more stable.

It's good, but that would be cool if there was a button where when you're outside the app you can press and send the message to the person you were talking to. Another nice feature would be having the voices not over lap or interrupt each other if you are talking to one person separately then your other friend's voice comes in lol. Also, is there a way to have history saved temporarily? Like delete the data used after one or two days so I can still save it but not use my memory if I forget.

I've would pay (once, no subscription) for a version that doesn't have constant issues. But for the last few years I have often had to exit zello, or turn on and off airplane mode just to get messages to send -with several different phones over the years. And now, within the last month or so, zello completely disconnects after probably 30 seconds of my phone being locked, so I miss messages. Support doesn't respond to emails. Makes me very hesitant ever to spend on this app.

Talking with family and friends and groups is easier now with Zello. I didn't give a 5 rating largely because I keep getting a request from a group that has been closed by their administrator and cannot block the continual requests. Several of my friends keep getting the same request (and the "administrator" can't fix it either.) Please fix this glitch and communicate back with me. Again, the PTT works great.

It's good when it works, but it's unreliable. I'm on Android, partner is on iPhone. Frequently when I try to send her a message, she never receives it until manually she opens the app, despite the "Keep Alive" option being on and her status being a green "standby." It's a frustrating experience communicating with nobody, waiting for a response that never comes.

Worked fine for a while, then recently started to glitch and randomly record conversations and send to all other phones in our group when no one was using the app or had it open. Had to restart all phones in the group to get it to stop. A few days later, the same thing happened. Uninstalled from all phones in our family group since the app was essentially randomly turning on and running itself with no apparent way to stop the glitch.

Makes my nights a lot easier to get through when I'm trying to stay awake. A lot of issues with the PTT button for blue parrot headset. Mine didn't work for months on end amd then all of the sudden started to work. Same goes for a few friends of mine. We all have newer headsets and phones. Please fix this issue so we aren't constantly touching our phones to talk.

Really was enjoying this app, with my wife, until it stopped connecting. It keeps us both in standby, or offline, regardless of changing our status manually. Even when it said available on our ends, it still shows the other offline or in standby. Unless we force quit and restart, it just won't reconnect either one of us. Even then, it doesn't always work. If it's a setting, we can't figure out which one. I don't think it is, because we reset to factory settings, and it still does it. Too bad.

this app is so good. but it would be nice to be able to set more sounds, to let me know if my microphone is muted or if connection changes, and make the talk permit tone better. like a constant 305 hz if it fails to transmit or if microphone is muted or cant detect one. and if connection is wrong or off then no tpt. that would be amazing, as well as keybinds, and other actions that are programmable, would be banger and would pay for it

This was a great app for a few months. Now, even when i don't hold the button to talk, it records me randomly and then all my co workers hear my conversation with passengers. on top of that, even if i exit, it randomly logs me back in. this NEEDS to be fixed.

I've been a loyal user to this app since it began and now all of a sudden I'm banned for no reason in my own channel. Now someone has control of my channel All Roads Lead To Rome. very disappointed. This app used to be great not so much anymore. Time to find a new chat app since zello is starting to bann people for no reason. unbelievable.

I use this app for EMS and Fire dispatch. it works most of the time, and then goes down for days or weeks. You also don't have a choice in hearing activity on this app. You can either hear things live, or get an audible notification that there is radio traffic. You cannot mute notifications when set to busy, and the busy notification recently went from a subtle quiet chirp to a loud, prolonged ring. I even set notification volume to 0, and still get pinged to death.

it works for me. I can talk into and get perfect reception. although it wouldn't hurt to maybe kinda Improve it slightly but it's a perfect all by far the best I've downloaded and I went through 9 apps before I came across zello

Really good with options to delete if ever needed, no nonsense and working well. Had to move to another device.

Very user friendly & super helpful! Brings me back to the days of "CHIRP" on Nextel/Sprint!! Absolutely LOVE this app!!! You all rock!!

while using this app it seems to malfunction by not allowing you to see those people participating in your group(channels). Also it shows people offline who are actually online(available) and restricts you from communicating with them privately...Very troubling in the event of an emergency.

Can't reach Zello through your network. Confirm your browser works or try in a few minutes. This week I keep trying and nothing. Every time I receive the error. Thank you

the app no longer works kicked me out of the app dureing mid conversation and wont sign back in because its broken i reset app deleted it and reset wifi still no sign in this app needs major fix asap for it is broken the free version
