Solid app. Everything works and syncs up nicely. A very comprehensive fitness app! Update: I'm using the Amazfit GTS2e, and I'm noticing two problems. First, the heart rate tracker seems to stop tracking when you have a lot of wrist perspiration, and does not track at all when cycling. Second, it syncs very poorly with Google Fit. Maybe Google intentionally hinders this, to encourage purchasing a Wear OS smartwatch/band? Three years later (2025), and the app is even better than it was before.
App has changed radically since I first started using it. But still has stupid issues. Like, if I allow notifications, I get notifications all the time about keeping the band running. And if I tap the notification it doesn't clear. And if I turn off notifications then every single time I enter the app, I have to close 2 popups about allowing notifications. Seriously annoying! Also, I frequently get chided for sitting too long WHILE I AM MOVING AROUND!!! Disappointing - could be so much better!
Overall good but few things: 1. BMI is incredibly incorrect. i can run 5k and 10ks and it lists me as obese. 2. The phones performance is taking a noticeable hit. Everything is very slow when its connected to watch. You can fix this by making it so that the watch can't receive notifications. You get a much longer battery life on the watch+phone. 3. If you're using this for running it isnt bad for the price. Just remember that it isn't perfect. Treadmill distance off, and altitude is off.
The device (Helio ring) linked to the app is okay as a sleep tracker but would not recommend as an activity tracker. It can't seem to auto detect activities starting and the app only allows you to "start" a few simple activities - and lacks something like "cardio" as a general catch all. also requires full GPS (background all the time) even for "treadmill".
it could be great. 4, but it won't sync to Mi fitness, so I'm unable to properly document my workouts. For the last 10 years, I have been able to edit the name of my workouts in various fitness tracker apps, in order to keep track of what was done. I'm 2026 that ability is not available because Mi fitness can't do it and doesn't sync to Zepp.
Please add an option to manually input and edit sleep. Assisted sleep monitoring is on. Took the band off for a couple hours to charge, and it recorded it as sleep. The device has also failed to record sleep on multiple occasions. Also, not everyone has "normal" sleep hours (6 PM–6 AM) and deciding to record any sleep outside of that as "naps" (provided it records it at all) makes little sense.
I hate this app. I hate that the little Zepp icon is ALWAYS at the top of my phone screen and the only "notification " is a reminder to keep it charged. I hate the random pop up messages telling me that exercise is good for me or other stupid things. I can seem to turn off the things I don't want without turning off the things I DO want, like texts and phone calls. if I had known how annoying the app would be, I'd never have bought the watch.
Very unintuitive to use. Some features, such as resting heart rate, do not work, despite the real time heart rate monitor working fine. When you open that page, there is no indication as to why no data had been collected for days. This watch and app are so focused on providing 3000 forms of exercise monitoring, yet it falls short with basics like heart monitoring. Finding the simplest of functions within the watch can take minutes. Also, with each app update, things change names
overall, I like it. hopeful the sleep stats will improve especially for 2 hours wake periods (I do have premium too). I like the new customizing of the top 3. I miss the weight graph overview though. (underweight-obese) Now it doesn't show category names, breakpoint weights, nor where you are on it. it was very motivating moreso than just the weight graph by itself. Need a bio composition scale or manual edit option.
It's... a weird app. It's very AI heavy, to the point where any other feature outside of step/sleep tracking is outright unpleasant to use—plus it's laggy. To log food in the food diary, you have to either scan a barcode or describe it to the AI and hope it picks the correct food, there's no way to simply look it up. The only reason I have the app at all is because I have an Amazfit Bip 3 Pro and it's necessary to sync steps with better apps.
Sleep tracking is extremel inaccurate. Unfortunately, there is no swim measurement. In addition, you have to carry your phone with you to get distance measurements, etc. Even my cheap old Garmin watch does a better job at collecting data. So I do five miles, yet the app says I've only done 6000 steps. Totally erroneous. In addition, the steps and distance shown does not match the distance run or walked. Support to fix this problem is useless. So I have been in contact with Zepp, totally useless.
using this will amazfit 6 watch. I like that it detects when I'm sleeping or when I'm napping and it also tells me the level that I'm sleeping. it alerted me that I was having sleep apnea events. So I had a sleep study done which is still to be determined. But one thing I noticed about the apnea is that it doesn't compute how many events you have per hour correctly. sometimes it's significantly higher, especially if you have hours with no apnea. i cannot tell yet if it doesn't average the zeros
Update: I like the app. I find it's become near useless for tracking my workouts. If I have a higher heart rate typing on my keyboard than I do on a 3 mile ride something is clearly not correct. My heart rate actually goes up when I take the device off my wrist after trying to reposition it for the 20th time. What a demotivator to exercising.
the app used to connect to my phone so I could see messages, but it would frequently disconnect and stop showing those so I had to reset it. Now it just doesn't show messages no matter how many time I've reset & reconnected. it hasn't worked for at least 8 months. The only thing this app/watch is good for besides the time is steps/workout tracking, and sleep tracking. Also, watch faces are extremely limited and rarely put out anything new. I recommend a galaxy watch, it's more reliable.
They were ok at first... but I just noticed some of the upgrades and they've gotten significantly better. I like that there is inputs on many aspects of fitness, especially the calorie meal counts. I am going to have to start utilizing this app for a critical aspect of my daily life and overall wellness. Great job Zepp Team!!!
I got this app to work with my ring. I wanted to track my sleep issues better. It doesn't record awake times during the night accurately and while you can edit your final awake time you cannot edit any awake times during the night. I was awake for 3 hours and the app shows a few minutes. This makes the sleep score very inaccurate.
Battery killer when tracking workouts, helio strap is great and the general app is fine, but I can't track workouts without constant location access which for some reason Zepp app just sucks down battery then. Fix that and the app is an easy 4-5 stars. would also love functional automatic workout tracking , the automatic activity tracking logs workouts when walking around the house.
Sleep tracking is sometimes so wrong. Amazfit T-Rex 3 editing sleep time does not change score, so editing is meaningless. I now have an Amazfit Ballance, and still erroneous results are not applicable to tracking health matrix. I don't need a coach. I need accuracy, not an incorrect application of the apps algorithms. I train consistently and never take naps, yet if I'm reading, meditating watching TV, the zepp app says I've taken a 15 minute to 2 hrs naps. I want more control over app.
Giving three because it's a nice app and monitors health nicely (except distance won't calibrate). Maybe because it's sync'd to an unsupported phone? Pixel 10 is not on the list to select. the app and watchface download doesn't seem to work. I press sync then press download and it locks up. Never does download. Hoping updates fix it soon. Pretty frustrating that such simple items don't work.
It would be great to have widget options other than just food tracking. the graphs for weight etc could be improved. if you want specific time interval data, you don't have option to choose range or rolling 3 months / 6 months etc. its always starts with new week or new month or new year which provides minimal data points at the start of each interval.
