The APP is Always Troublesome! It takes so much time, waiting for the app to communicate with the camera and then some of the time the images fail to transfer from the camera to the app, and you have to redo the entire tour again. Extremely frustrating! There is no way to simply upload the panoramas from the camera to the listing if the app fails. Do better Zillow. You certainly have the money to provide a more reliable platform!
Just about one out of every three tours simply won't post straight away, often will take lots of troubleshooting... would be less frustrating if the app told you the problem, rather than "Sorry this tour can't be posted right now." Constantly causes the Theta to crash, or disconnects when standing right next to the camera. Edit: App has been massively improved in recent months. Still causes the camera to crash occasionally, but posting tours is much more reliable.
I have been using the OIS version of this app for about 8 months with good results. Apparently there are an update on the Apple version that broke the app, Zillow sent out an email stating they were hard at work to fix the problem and advised us to use the Android version if possible until the problem was solved. I downloaded it and noticed i was getting inconsistent results. Most interior photos were under exposed and not usable. But, when I put on the 3 second timer it worked
Worked great for a year, but recent update borked it. Samsung Android with a Ricoh Theta YP40. Connects to wifi, but then "Can't find 360 camera" and endlessly scans. App creates it's own temporary wi fi network instead of using original wifi network setup between the devices. Please fix, have places to list! UPDATE they fixed it, good reliable app
easy to use. im sure they will add more features as it grows. but for the normal everyday person. very easy to utilize
Says you can use your phone but you can't. It has an option to select your phone as the device and tells you how to do the panorama but when you couch start it just bumps you back to the screen to select the device.
Interface is a little laggy and wonky but this is an amazing free tool to bring 3D tours to your property AND it maps an accurate floor plan / blueprint just from the photos
App constantly has issues downloading photos from the camera. Also it just got stuck uploading a photo from a tour. How is this app so bad? It's mind boggling.
I have been waiting over 5 months for the Insta360 X5 to be supported by Zillow 3D Home. Zillow needs to do better with maintaining support for the latest 360⁰ cameras. Please roll out support for the new camera, I shouldn't be forced to downgrade to an older model camera.

Patterson “La Hurrican” Ford
Fraudulent company using this platform to sell their cameras. Did a tour for a client that had 3 floors and only one floor uploaded. I uninstall and reinstall the app only to find out if you do that, zillow deletes the tour. So now I have to explain to a customer why I have to come back on my free time and for FREE do everything all over again. Don't bother ever using this app if you are a photographer. You are better off taking a paycut to not offer zillow 3D. Go with matterport instead.
Terribly broken. I completed my home tour after about 20 minutes of work. But I can't upload it without an address. It shows my address correctly in autocomplete but tapping it says they couldn't find it and to contact support. Naturally the email address they give you to contact support is bogus and bounces. So no customer support and no way to upload.
When downloading this app, one would expect the same feature-set as the iOS app - having the full capabilities of capturing a 3D tour on your phone and adding it to your listing. Instead, you get a limited-capability app that is totally useless for most people as it cannot actually be used to capture 3D tours like the iPhone app. Instead, you have to actually purchase an expensive 3D camera to use the android app. This app should be taken down until such time it can use the phone camera to work as most people expect it to. This is a real disappointment from Zillow.
Using Galaxy S22: The dialog box with option to use android camera disappears within hours after install... leaving me stuck with a screen telling me to connect a 360 camera... can't proceed from there. I tried starting a new tour, rebooting, etc. Only thing that works is reinstall. Then I might see the option to use android camera. FRUSTRATING! Please add a clearly labeled button allowing overide of the default 360 camera setting. When it did work with android camera, it was quite nice!
*Update: Emailed them w/ details- no response. Don't waste ur time if you plan 2 use a phone for the tour! I used an Android phone (which app allows) to get room shots. It a long process b/c you have to reshoot any unlevel frames. Previews looked good so I submitted. Got a tour back w/ huge black circles at the top & bottom in all rooms, which weren't in the preview or the apps Android example. Emailed for help & they just blamed it on using phone and not buying the $400 camera they sell.
Glitchy, buggy app. It's fine when it works but 80% of the time I have some serious error when trying to upload panoramas or publish the tour. Oftentimes the only recourse is killing and restarting the app or the phone multiple times. It easily adds an hour to would-be 20 minute jobs when I shoot, for example, a condo. I know they will respond to this with something like "We'd love to know more, email us" and I'm happy to do that if it makes the app better. As things stand, 2 stars.
You guys really need to work on reliability. I prefer zillow to matterport by a long shot but every 2nd to 3rd tour has issues. Stops uploading ect. Build some redundancy in please. I'd even pay a subscription for a more reliable version Update several years later. It still sucks. Matterport works. Consistently. How do you make no positive changes but also make your product LESS reliable? I'm a software engineer bro.. how???
Android app is better in all ways then trying to use an ipad tablet for me except for some reason it'll randomly pause upload and refuse to unpause for 12 to 24 hours now matter what I do. It did not used to do this. It has done this for 2 listing so far. In real estate 12 hours is too long for this to be up in the air on if it's going to upload or not. I hate Apple and will never purchase their products. Make the android app better on upload and camera connection.
It's great but ... crash after crash. It's very unstable in my Pixel 5. Updated: three phones latest and still same problem. Takes 3-5 minutes before each pano because constantly disconnecting from camea. I use my old iPhone and it's a little better but I have no internet in the iPhone so I often forget to upload the tour until next day.
as a real estate photographer who works with multiple Realtors paying the outrageously high monthly fees to zillow, I'm about to recommend to them to stop using the service. the app barely works, it's broken, it freezes up all the time, it gets stuck in "waiting to fetch image", it's not even worth it. I reach out to the support email and if I'm lucky if they respond in 3 days, they never solved a single issue
Link to download app via playstore from the Zillow App did not work. Had to search playstore & download manually. Finally in app, but it not only doesnt work as described - it just plain doesnt work. After the panorama picture completes, it takes you to a page to 'tag' it, then disappears. No 'save' or other option. I can navigate app, name rooms, even take the panorama, but upon completing the panorama, it automatically goes back to home screen. (I'm tech savvy, and this aint it)
