It has an unreliable system to check if you're covered by the provider selected, and many times I've tried to book with someone, they have cancelled and stated that they were not accepting clients. I've yet to find a provider due to this useless system. I'm genuinely so dissapointed and wouldn't reccomend ANYONE looking for therapists or anything having to do with mental health. You would have better luck contacting each person individually that you find on here and book outside of the app.
It's completely impossible to use this app to find care. All providers I attempted with cancelled my appointment. I couldn't get ahold of them before they cancelled because they all use a third party to call from, so you can't call them, the phone numbers are useless. The times that you can pick from are not a guarantee to schedule, so there's a good chance you'll THINK you're all set, filled out all your paperwork and marked your calendar and everything. But they call at 7am and cancel it. Bad.
I have had a great experience using Zocdoc, it's helped me find providers who accept my insurance. I like being able to find and book appointments from my phone. I can reschedule visits, set up follow ups, it's been very convenient and helpful to use! Be aware that if you are a no-show, or cancel too many appointments, you may find your account is blocked. Avoid that by using their feature to add your appointments to your calendar immediately! Super helpful. I highly recommend it 👌
This app is good for finding providers, especially if from out of state, that are highly qualified for one's medical needs. But, after having set two appointments that were confirmed by ZocDoc, and setting my time aside for it, then having them cancelled only an hour before, I don't recommend it for making appointments through it. Many Doctors charge a consultation fee if they are not informed of the patient's cancelation, yet, I am now told there is no link to their actual appointment book.
Although very helpful in reading reviews to select a doctor, the appointment system seems to never work. After selecting an appointment, while then selecting my insurance, it gives me an error message that the appointment is no longer available. Then once I did finally get one to work, it ended up being at a different location (over 30 minutes away) than what I had booked.
App used to be great, now I have to log in every time I open it which is annoying as hell. Also can't book an appointment because I'm stuck in a login loop. Tells me to enter my google credentials, I do, it "logs me in" and then I'm right back to the sign in page. I was able to get into my account after trying over and over, went to book and appointment and after I hit book it just logs me out again. Looks like my appointment booking didn't go through. It's literally become unusable.
App is convenient and a great idea! Best way to search for a Dr today. 100% recommend! That said, I would love a section where each doctor has to list their fees. Most do not, and we book an appointment, not knowing if we can afford them. I wish we could pick multiple issues we are seeking a doctor for. Patients can only pick one without knowing if they are willing/able to treat the whole person. Sometimes, it won't save the forms every time, causing do-overs. Minor issues aside, I ❤️ it!
Booked an urgent appointment with a specialist, same day! Rescheduled work, drove across town, located parking a block away, and made it to the doctor's office only to discover they had no record of my appointment, and was told they'd been having with Zocdoc like this a lot. They could not see me at that time, which was a huge inconvenience, not to mention driving across town to address a potentially serious medical issue that could not actually be addressed at that time. Call the doctor first!
I love the concept of having all the doctors I'm one platform with reviews to choose from. However, it seems to barely be accurate. I just had 3 appointments canceled in the same week because either the doctors are no longer at the location or zocdoc appointments availability don't match the actual schedule of the doctors. It makes it hard, disappointing, and defeats the whole purpose of the application.
I absolutely love this app. I stumbled onto it during one of my stressed-out-gotta-find-a-doctor episodes... I have memory/ organization/confusion issues, due to brain surgery. Going to the doctor will literally be pushed off for months, if not years, because of the scramble. This app does it all with my information. Within 15 minutes, I have three doctors appointments I have needed for months, booked. Thank you- this app is remarkable! I highly recommend it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The app is pretty straight forward and easy to use. There's a little bit of a disconnect between the app and doctor's offices on whether they take the intake form or not, but that's not the app's fault. I rated them a 3 because their customer service isn't amazing and it's hard to leave a negative review because they screen them harder than positive ones.
Finding new doctors that pay to be on the app is easy. The rating system is only based on popularity not necessarily quality or knowledgeability of the doctor. The app would be decent if you could upload all of your medical information and keep it organized. You cannot because not all doctors you go to will have paid to be on the app, and when the app logs you out, you have to log back in, and it loses all the information it originally contained. Download to find docs with your ins. Then scrap.

This app is probably the only one I've ever come across to properly advertise what they truly are and what they truly do. It is so so easy, I'm telling you this is the future. It makes things so so easy, the absolute only thing that I don't like personally but that is probably necessary so I will still give a five star is when you finally get to the insurance part, they give you so many insurance options that some I never even knew existed under your specific insurance, but still , no biggie
I'm someone who really hates talking to people. And if something isn't convenient and make sense, I won't do it...... or avoide it. This app though takes all the guess work out of it and I don't have to call a billion people and trying to figure out certain details. I put my insure plan in and the type of appointment I need and a list of providers pops up with my insurance that covers them. They're close or they do video calls. Overall great tool to have!
Easy peasy lemon squeezie!! I'm a busy person would would dread the phone call to book a doctor, plain avoid the whole situation. This APP make researching and booking an appointment amazingly simple. Only annoying aspect is some doctors still make you do all those forms collecting your information when you get there, while it's all in the APP. Drive me nuts!!!
The majority of appointments I try and schedule get cancelled, and the one time I cancelled I got a message saying they would terminate my account if I cancelled to much. Well how about the 4 appointments that got cancelled on me this week?! They take no accountability. Plus when I tried to contact them all I get is an error, so there's no way to get help. Absolutely worthless app.
Really disappointed do far. Two appointments in and the first practitioner the app set me up with made me very uncomfortable, and the second is trying to be helpful best she can, but is not actually a specialist in what ZocDocs had her listed for. Edit: ZocDocs, I'm not at all interested in being contacted by you or helping you at all. Why should I when I've wasted part of 3 weeks trying, in vain, to receive any type of help through you? Do not reach out to me again. Good day.
Installed the app and so far I have been hugely disappointed. I created an account and entered my info including location. When searching for a Dr it finds very few and most are extremely far from me. I could understand if I lived in a remote area but I am only 10 minute drive from Philadelphia and the area is overpopulated with a massive amount of medical providers and facilities. I would say the app is close to worthless!!!
I really hate that ZocDoc is the default booking service for many providers. For something that tries to be well-branded and forward, it offers a woefully poor user experience. The most annoying of all is providing a bunch of info such as insurance information that doesn't get to the medical offices, which just means I have to provide the info again and again. Also searching is annoying when it doesn't intuitively switch between insurance types depending on the service needed.
So much easier to use compared to my insurance's "find an in network doctor" page. I already had one streamlined experience with Zocdoc and just booked another appointment for a primary care. It's nice to have something like this app, this is the second time my insurance has changed and the 5th time my location changed. I just enter the new info and find the person I need or at least get a better idea of who does what.
