Always liked the app. Loved the unique items, clothes, accessories etc etc. Have been a customer for years. For the past week or so, however, I've been getting the message "we've hit a small snag. The page isn't loading right now. Please give us a moment to fix this." So, I just uninstalled the app. I want a fun shopping experience, not a hassle. Sorry, zulily, you lost a customer.
After loving and using this app for several years it may be time to uninstall for good. Prior to mid December 2023 I rarely ever had any issue of any kind with Zulily or the app. Since mid Dec. When I open the app, it gives me an "oops, there is an error, try again later" message. I've uninstalled and reinstalled (more than once), I've checked and double checked settings and don't see anything off. Yet I just get the error. Too bad.
Thids is a decent app for a bad store. There are no returns on anything, no matter what the item cost or what problems you may have had with it. For example, I bought what seemed to be a good-quality jersey shirt, but the neckline was much bigger and looser than in the photo and it ran after my second wear. I also bought a pair of beautiful, expensive leather boots that didn't fit. I couldn't return either of them. Also, their selection of plus-sized clothes is *dreadful* and never changes.
I used this app for years. Uninstalled it for a while, and installed it again several months later. Now the app won't even open! What happened here? Horrible app. Every time I try to open it I get a "we've hit a snag" message. I had the app on my phone for several days and could never access a single thing. Even after uninstalling and re-installing, it just wouldn't work. I'd give it less stars if I could.
Extremely Disappointed .... Always loved the great deals on the premium brands. Last week, I received an email advising my account has been closed with no true explanation. Never been late with payments, in fact I always made extra ones. Now I can't even gain access to their app! I've read they've been bought out by another company due to poor financial management (not paying their vendors) and eventually planning to shut the site down. Now I need to find another similar site.
I have not had any real issues with the app so far, and it's been easy to navigate. I have shopped on here for a while now and have loved every thing I have bought.....until a pair of pants recently. I received them and they were to small so I decided I'd return them because after all they advertise for store credit. However they deduct shipping fees from the balance of the item you are returning and in my case the pants subtotal was $7 and some change, well the shipping costs for the return were a little over $8 so I did not receive any "store credit" towards a future purchase. Very disappointed in this because I just lost $15 on a pair of pants I couldn't even wear. I have read their return policy and I believe it is unfair. Their reply to my email was that normally they do not offer return services and because they do not store these products in warehouses as inventory they charge for the shipping on the returns. I get that certain items are listed as non returnable however if you offer a return service for some items, I think me as the customer should not have to pay to ship the item back after I just paid for shipping. I, at least, have yet to be charged for shipping return items by other companies. So if I just got shorted $15 and they do this to everyone, how much money are they pocketing off of this system and their customers? Very disappointed because I love shopping on here. I feel like I should have just taken those pants to the Goodwill had I known I was wasting my money and time to not be reimbursed for an item I had paid for.
I liked this app until it stopped working. pictures stopped loading a few weeks ago. Prior to that I placed my first order...jacket was not a true size but it will cost more to return than I paid for it so I'm stuck with it. one item in my order took forever to ship so I cancelled it, which customer service handled without issue. bottom line if you aren't in a hurry to get your items and you are confident you will get exactly what you order then it's a good shopping app. providing the app works!
Personally love that app easy to view items and great prices. The bad thing is if you buy something and need to return it they take off about 8 dollars off for shipping and the amount left over is only for credit does not return to your card. Which is pretty crappy. Let's say I ordered something for 9 dollars ... it comes and is nothing like the picture and I want to return sure I can but I'm only going to get a dollar back.
I love shopping here BUT it is hit or miss. Sometimes the items are great and have amazing deals, other times are complete junk. I had recently had a problem where there was a delay in one item in my order. They ended up cancelling after they told me they would not and gave me 10$ credit which is not acceptable as it was an outfit and they didnt sent the most important peice so I spent 100$ for a incomplete outfit. Customer service did not answer the phone though it is business hours on a wed.
Love love love the variety and process available on this app! I've been a loyal customer for many years and have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. The ONLY thing negative I can say is that the cost of shipping is annoying - my advice is to place a small order on Friday afternoon, pay the shipping, then place the rest of your order(s) throughout the rest of the weekend, when you've automatically earned free shipping because of your Friday order. Watch out - can be addicting! :)
This app, due to a freezing bug, placed a large order without me knowing. I had a number of items in my cart and was trying to decide which ones to order when the app froze and my cart emptied. Customer service said they would try to cancel my order with no guarantee was unable to cancel my order (even though it was due to an app glitch). Last i checked it is being prepared to ship. Update: issue resolved
I loved this app at first, and ordered a ton of stuff, which was a huge mistake, and it has turned into the worst shopping experience of my life. Some items arrived broken, some were nothing like they were advertised, and shipping took so long I almost forgot about it. They charged and sent me the same shirt twice, and are still charging my card for remaining smart pay balances on items I have already Returned. And they are charging $30 for me to return items, which is unbelievable.
Zulily used to be a fun shopping experience, you'd wait a few weeks to receive items cheaper than elsewhere. But now everything is super overpriced and they don't even ship for like a month. I checked everything I liked online, and every single time I found it elsewhere significantly cheaper. So: more expensive, and you have to wait for months to get it. No thank you.
Buy at your own risk. Items come that are close to what was described, but not really what you expected. The new "return" policy might get you a few dollars of store credit, thanks to expensive return shipping. I've shopped with Zulily for years, always with the knowledge that I'd better be willing to toss the money spent in the bin when what I get is unwearable. Recently this issue seems to have gotten worse. It's 50/50 that your item is not even close to what was ordered. I'm done. Uninstalled
I have truly enjoyed Zulilly over the years, but over the last 6 months the online shopping site has become disappointing. There is a constant letdown with being unable to fulfill orders, delayed shipping (pre-Covid19), and lack of quality for some items. Throw in the disappointing app issues and it just makes for a terrible shopping experience. Lately you can't track your orders via the app. My order has said "is being shipped " for 2 weeks and I have received nothing. Extremely disappointed.
Edit: Zulily went bankrupt?! The new update is terrible. The descriptions of items are lacking, the brands are missing from a lot of the items when you click on them, hitting back goes all the way back to the home screens, and the constant reminder every time you are on the home screen of the items in your cart is super annoying. The new version of the app is difficult to use due to a lot of bugs and deters me from buying or browsing like I used to. Please go back to the old version!!
I used to love this app. Recently, the product quality has gone down hill. 90% of the items are nothing like you ordered, and don't even come close to fitting per the size charts provided. They take months to ship and half the orders are cancelled. On top of that, they won't email you and refund you when an order is cancelled. You will have to contact them and ask. When wish turns into a more reliable app, you know this app is trash.
You can't search for a specific style of clothing; for example, I wanted to look at lace blouses but the search engine doesn't recognize keywords. I could only search under the general category "Tops" and then I had to look through t-shirts, button-down shirts, pullover knits, etc. on the outside chance of finding what I was looking for. When I added an item to my "basket", it disappeared as soon as I clicked "Continue shopping" so it was a total waste of time. I uninstalled this useless app.
The various items are great, but shipping is crazy long and you don't know exactly how long it's going to take. Price comparisons are wrong and you can get the same items for cheaper elsewhere. The app is horrible. Search doesn't work right, can't look for specific types of clothing, sometimes can't filter by size, all the designer curated "events" show the same thing repeatedly. Color variations not shown. Needs updating.
When shopping on the website you are able to see the different color choices for the same item. That saves time from searching through endless pages. But really I am not a fan of Zulily at all. The comparison prices given are beyond ridiculous! The items take forever to arrive and are often not what was advertised. Return credit is a joke. I canceled an order and wasn't supposed to be charged but was! BUYER BEWARE.
