BackThen baby milestones album

We have used this app (life cake) for 4 years. It's a great service for quickly and adding photos that are easy to access for all of our family members. I wish there were better options for making hard copies of the thousands of photos and videos. I'd love an option to make a photo book that fits hundreds of photos, or a CD or thumb drive with all the videos on it. The books available before were so short, only 20 pages.

Being unable to access BackThen by computer is simply the biggest problem and extremely inconvenient. Receiving an email while on my computer, I am unable to see the photo...what's the point? I must go to my phone to first open the app...it's ridiculous! If you truly want BackThen to succeed going forward, I suggest you take seriously the numerous complaints regarding the inability to access from a computer, and upgrade this service to enable this. If Lifecake could do it, so can BackThen!

I cannot upload files while the app is running in the background, otherwise the uploads fail. When the files are large this means that I need to wait forever on the app without having the chance of using the phone for something else: in this case I also need to be careful not to have the automatic screen lock.

I love this app. I loved lifecake and didn't want to have to pay for more than the limited free storage. I tried out a handful of apps and ultimately came back. I like the like/comment option, the ability to download pictures, the timeline format, and the throwbacks. A lot of other sites sort pics so you have to click on each individual day which is annoying. This app sorts them so its easier to see all pics, and shows you any recent likes and comments.

A solid experience with minor issues. It does not link to any other social media, and instead sends invites via email, which cannot be rescinded or resent, meaning if they miss the email there's no way for the parent to resend the invite. Desktop access, linking to social media, and partnering with someone like Shutterfly for gifts would be a huge quality of life improvement. But for now, the pricing is fair and the app is slick and private, so it gets the job done.

Enshitification at its finest. The uploads will fail and, when retrying them, it uploads the pictures twice. Then, when deleting the duplicates, you have to go one by one, because the multi select tool scrolls all the way to the top every time you select a pic/vid. It's a true test to your patience, and a fun, cute little moment of reviving your kids moments turns into a rage fuelled battle with this app that can ruin the best of moods. We look forward to finding a better option.

very buggy and laggy on the newest Android. Uploading needs to be done one by one. Trying to upload multiple videos or photos at a time fails 4 out of 5 times.

crashes all the time trying to upload bulk photos. which is very annoying especially trying to show photos to distant family

We love this app, and have used it for almost 4 years now. It's Great to be able to go back and look at pictures of the children at different ages. Especially in the treasures feature, where they show pictures of your kids when they were the same age. I think it would be great to have a milestone feature, where you can tag different milestones (first time walking, first word, first day in kindergarten etc.), making them easier to find later 😊😊

The absolute best app for new parents, we have been using this since my eldest was born, 8 years later it's the only app I update daily and it has been invaluable to keep family up to date. Distanced family members get to feel a part of how fast they all grow up and I download the timeline once a year to keep everything safe. I recommend to every parent I come across, if you're looking for a way to share your child's little moments, stories and photos with family, this is the one.

Such a great and well executed concept. I love sharing my little one with privacy from social media with handpicked friends and family. My family and friends have been using it on our recommendation for almost 12 years and now half a dozen kids from four families.

I've settled with using this for now after trying a few different photo sharing apps. A few things I would like to see in this that other apps offer. Growth tracking (somewhere to plot height and weight and ideally present it in a growth chart), photo editing (even just as simple as adding text), the ability to buy photobooks. I'll add more as I notice/think of them.

I have used this app since 2019. Its the perfect app for keeping photos, videos, and families updated on memories, especially as we live abroad.

Just gone to update LGs latest measurements and there's been an horrible update to the picture tiles for weights and height. please revert them back to the previous ones. Apart from this, we like using BackThen

Too many notifications and not enough controls in dashboard

Fantastic app that does exactly what I need it to, but I also will not be continuing to use it after Lifecake as I can't justify the rolling cost. I also did not appreciate that the costs were not mentioned until it was almost too late and I think the price point is way too high for something that we are only using sporadically, but would have to pay for years and years to come. A one-time, upfront cost to download it would have been much more acceptable.

Used this app for 10 years. In the last year I have been unable to upload photos edited in Instagram that are saved to my camera reel as .jpg files. This is essentially all the photos I want to upload. I'm no closer to getting this sorted with BackThen, their response has basically been tough. Instagram is one of the biggest photo editing apps on the planet, it's insane to not ensure people can store photos that have been edited on it. Considering moving platforms as its no longer worth the £

I have used this app since both my children were born and it holds all our special memories. I am getting very frustrated that the photobook option still hasn't been created. We are now paying a monthly subscription for the service and still no photobook option. Feel like pulling the plug at this stage after years of use and switching to another service.

I love this app ! all my loved ones can follow the growth of our children , especially in these lockdown times it is really great. 1 thing I do miss though,.. like the treasure "Remember this day" it would also be really cool if the children could be compared with each other . So for example it shows a photo of "child1" 4 months old and next to it a photo of "child2" 4 months old (or child 3,4,5 ;) ) 😍 It would be a great addition. But no criticism! I'm a happy customer!
